Lanuya Delida Acelet

"If life is as multicolored as the rainbow, then what's as multicolored as a box of crayons?"

a character in “Mental Implosion”, as played by Vanillasugar41

Description

Full Name: Lanuya Delida Acelet

Name Meaning: Special Intelligence / Divine Maiden / of Noble Birth

Nickname: N/A

Type of Supernatural Being: Mind Worker

Powers:
Legilimency - magically navigating through a person's mind. A person who practices this art is known as a Legilimens. More simply referred to as "mind-reading," practicers of this art disapprove of this term, labeling it as naive. If one is skilled enough, they can be able to implant thoughts or speak in another person's mind.

Occlumency - The opposite of Legilimency, better known as to shield one's mind from the invasion and influence of a Legilimens. This makes others unable to enter or read the practicer's mind. Lanuya does this naturally.

Telekinesis/Psychokinesis - moving physical objects by pure willpower. Often Lanuya will use this ability to do multiple things at once (ex: clean her room and make her dinner while she does her homework)

Empathy - the ability to sense another's emotional state. Lanuya does this constantly and does not know how to stop it. This makes her very good at communicating with people and solving problems.

Personality

Personality:
Lanuya is a pleasant, proper girl. Born and raised in a wealthy French family who taught her manors and made her into the "perfect child" she is. She's a very intelligent girl too with straight A's in all her classes, thought of fondly by both her peers and teachers. Lanuya is very quiet though, hardly speaking unless spoken to or if she has something important to say. Not a very athletic person but still very trim and sweet.

She can often be found reading a book or doing homework/extra credit work. Otherwise she'll be in her room playing the violin, cello, harp, piano or flute. And if she's not playing an instrument she's more than likely on the outskirts of the forest, working in her garden. Her two kittens, Velvet and Sugar, were her almost-constant companions before they perished.

Though she masks it very well, Lanuya suffers from extreme loneliness and isolates herself when the problem becomes apparent. The fact she can hear and sense other's thoughts and emotions terrifies her, as she doesnā€™t wish to know about all the things humanity has ever done. Of course, she keeps that fear bottled up inside and does her best to keep herself convinced that they are grand gifts. Lanuya only confides her inner thoughts and feelings in her kittens, but keeps a mask in the face of everyone else, acting completely fine. Now that they have died, she has been keeping her problems to herself.

Good Traits: Kind, loving, caring, problem solver, intelligent

Bad Traits: Lonely, masked, shy, prefers to be alone, not courageous

Likes: music, gardening, politeness, complements

Dislikes: foul language, headaches, reading other peopleā€™s minds, constant and exceedingly loud noises

Fears: drowning, losing a loved one, killing someone with her built up powers

Sexual Orientation: straight

Crush: N/A

Equipment

Physical Description:
Lanuya's eyes are honey colored and her hair is golden blonde, reaching just past mid-back. Her skin is sort of pale with no freckles and she has a slender body build. Hourglass curves and wears a generous B cup. She has no tattoos or piercings so she had to wear clip-on earrings. Her hair regularly smells of honey as thatā€™s the scent of her shampoo/conditioner (also her favorite smell).

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Birthday: January 14th

Height: 5ā€™ 1ā€

Weight: 110 lbs

History

History:
Lanuya was born into a wealthy French family. Her mother and father owned a luxurious hotel that was very successful. She grew up being friendly, polite, proper and pleasant like a good girl ought to be. The hotel was a place of events where parties, fundraisers and concerts were often held. From the moment Lanuya heard music, she wished to play an instrument and has so far learned five. Often sheā€™ll play for fundraisers or complementary entertainment purposes. In school Lanuya is a prized student and has received many awards and scholarships. Also she enjoys gardening and keeps her own separate garden on the roof alongside her parentā€™s prized plants.

But behind the mask of the perfect life, Lanuya has been hiding a great many secrets. She does not truly know when her powers first developed. All she knows is she has had them since she can remember. Being able to read peopleā€™s thoughts without trying proved to be abnormal, so Lanuya had to put a muzzle on herself and filter through her words carefully. This caused her to grow up quickly, and have a need to find other things to occupy her time so her mind would not wander to her secrets. Fearful that she would disappoint her parents, she kept her powers a secret and tried to live a normal life (more or less).

There had only once ever been a problem and that happened when Lanuya was 13 years old. An elderly man was staying at the hotel for a short time. He was particularly unpleasant and rude to Lanuya, apparently choosing her to pick on and berate. Though she tried her best to compose herself, Lanuya couldnā€™t handle the torment on top of the secret she was keeping. She began to feel a pocket of energy forming in her mind like a throbbing, hot headache that wouldnā€™t go away. She tried to ignore it but it got worse and worse until finally, the man said something particularly nasty and Lanuya lost it.

She began to cry softly on the outside and the knot of power shattered. She felt almost like a wave of built up energy go flying directly at the man and she felt his mind shatter then go completely blank. All other people in the room suddenly experienced a paralyzing migraine and Lanuya just stood there in shock. The man had gone insane, like her suddenly wasnā€™t home anymore, and died minutes later whilst the other guest who had been near had to be taken to their rooms until they recovered from the episode. Lanuya fled the scene and never spoke of it to anyone.

A few days after the explosion of Lanuyaā€™s powers, two kittens were found in a basket on the grand steps of the hotel. The kittens were brought to the managers, Lanuyaā€™s parents, and they decided to comfort their daughter and take her mind of the tragedy, they would give her these kittens. Lanuya and the kittens took to each other immediately. They've been her constant companions, sometimes even sneaking into her knapsack and going to class with her. Sugar and Velvet had a mental link to each other, just as Lanuya seems to have a mental link with them.

Recently Lanuya has felt the same knot of unused power growing in her head and fears that it will be a repeat of what happened before. One day she can across a poster for a mansion and thought that would be a perfect place to go to get away from the stress of her life. Hopefully there she could unwind the pocket of power before anyone got hurt. She held out until the school year ended before asking her parents if she could go, saying she wanted to take the summertime off so she could relax, make some new friends and just have a nice time.

Her parents thought this was a great idea, knowing how demanding the hotel could be sometimes, and thought that a peacefully spent summertime would be good for their daughterā€™s health. So they bought her the plane tickets and she promised to write/call them when she got the chance to let them know how she was doing before setting off with her kittens. Her parents send her a monthly allowance of $200 to spend on where ever she wants and Lanuya writes/calls them weekly.

After a short time at Nixie's house for the Supernatural, Lanuya contacted home and told them she was homesick and wished to return. She did not inform them of the trouble she had have there, the death of her kittens or the fact that she was bringing her friends along. Now Lanuya and her friends; David and Samil, are staying on this island for the summer.

So begins...

Just as Amisa had wrapped a green towel around herself she heard a knock-knock-knocking at the door. "Just letting you know I'm in here before you walk out... I brought you some food. I just need to grab some medicine." Samil's voice called from the otherside and Amisa nodded, though she knew he couldn't see her. "Okay, thank you Samil." she said and heard a small noise as he set the bowl down. There was a small moment of quiet as if Samil had just realized something and said, with mild embarressment, "Um, actually the medicine is in there." Amisa smiled slightly and unlocked the door, holding the towel around her body with her hands. "It's okay, I'm covered. You can come in and get it." she said, then walked past Samil who stood at the door to the bathroom she'd just opened. Then she went over to sit on the bed, ignoring the fatigued feeling coursing through her body and the stinging from her infected wounds located on her foot, stomach and left side of her upper torso. Instead she gratefully picked up the soup from the nightstand. Laying down a little bit, green towel covering her, Amisa glanced at Samil as she held the bowl tightly as if it were planning an escape. "Thank you Samil, it looks delicious." Then she dipped her spoon in, lipping the megear portion to her lips and blowing on it a little bit to cool it down. Her motions were... slightly awkward, as if she'd only ever seen others eat yet had never practiced herself.

---

Lanuya was about to agree when a masculine voice said, "Indeed, it has." Lanuya glanced up to see a man standing there and her first thought was 'Oh no! Lilith foudn out about David's weakenned state and has sent a henchman to finish David off!' "Um, pardon me, sir, but shouldn't Tamar Hagar be here to talk to all of us?" Joseph asked, confused and Lanuya instinctively stood up, her hand clentching David's, her other hand clethced into a fist. She wasn't as strong as David or Samil, but that didn't mean she was helpless. But David didn't seem alarmed and actually sounded cheerful as he said, "That is Tamar Hagar, just in a male body!" The man laughed. "Very keen obsevation, David! I think you figured it out sooner than anyone else!" "Well, let's face it: you did take me in after I graduated from high school." "True, that! Although, what I did not say about myself is that I have two names, one for each gender! While male, I am Abdiel Joel!" the man chucked in response to David. Lanuya eyed Abdiel Joel carefully, but smiled as she recognized the same smiling eyes Tamar Hagar had, waving slightly in greeting. No longer fearful, Lanuya walked over and took a bowl of soup and a slice of bread from the table, still in sight of David, before she walked over to him again. Sitting on her knees, Lanuya held the bowl of soup carefully, not letting any spill. "Here David," she said, still smiling, "You need to eat something if you want to get any better."

David nodded, holding the piece of bread and biting into it. Once he swallow, her picked up the spoon in the bowl and tasted the soup. "Samil actually did a good job with this!"

"That is not the only thing Samil did great with."

"What do you mean, Tam... er... Abdiel Joel?" David looked at the angel, curious as to what he meant.

"Well, there was a battle that ensued, which led to our current scenario. I won't tell you exactly, yet. Now, while I am saddened to see that my twin sister had to perish by Samil's hand with your help, it is a relief to me that a prophecy came true."

"Prophecy? And a fight?" David's eyes widened as he looked at Lanuya. "You were kidnapped by Lilith again, weren't you?"

"I shall tell him the details of what I meant, Lanuya. But first, I think David should relax a little."

Samil searched a few seconds for the medicine, and brought it out to find her in the bed, and eating the soup. "Sorry, I don't really cook. It must taste horrible." He looked down, embarassed. Then he looked back and watched her with amusement in his eyes, as she akwardly ate. "Sorry, again. I'm not good at cooking. It was a simple meal..." He trailed off, and laughed lightly, still watching her. "Do you feel any better?" He asked, after he'd finished chuckling

Amisa shook her head as Samil explained his lack in cooking skills. It showed through, but that was probably just because Lanuya had done so much cooking and had so much fine cuquisene in her lifetime. "No no, it's just fine," Amisa reassured, fiddling with the spoon, carefully guilding it to her waiting mouth, "It's just I- I've never really eaten before and I don't really have much practice with it..." The spoon slipped from her fingers and landed back in the bowl with a small splash and she laughed awkwardly. "See what I mean? Oh well." Amisa shrugged slightly and watched as he finished laughing softly and asked how she felt. "Well, I'm feeling a little better. Thank you for asking. But I think Lilith had poisoned a few of her torture knives because-" Absentmindly Amisa touched the discolored, swollen area an inch or so above her left breast as sucked in air as it stung from her touch. "Because some of my wounds are becoming extremely infected, much quicker then they normally would. I'm kind of worried..."

---

Lanuya let David take the bowl and spoon from her hands and watched, smiling softly as he ate a little bread as well. "Samil actually did a good job with this!" David exclaimed pleasently, and Ta-er-Abdiel Joel, nodded, saying, "That is not the only thing Samil did great with." "What do you mean, Tam... er... Abdiel Joel?" David asked curiously, looking at Abdiel Joel. "Well, there was a battle that ensued, which led to our current scenario. I won't tell you exactly, yet. Now, while I am saddened to see that my twin sister had to perish by Samil's hand with your help, it is a relief to me that a prophecy came true." Abdiel Joel explained gravely, lowing his eyes to the floor. "Prophecy? And a fight?" David asked, looking genuinly confused. Eyes wide, David turning is relentless, questioning gaze on Lanuya and said, "You were kidnapped by Lilith again, weren't you?" Lanuya didn't reply, instead biting her lip and looking at the floor. How could she explain to him what had happened without him panicing? And anicing was the last thing he need to do in his current state. But even without speaking, the answer was obvious; yes. "I shall tell him the details of what I meant, Lanuya. But first, I think David should relax a little." Abdiel Joel said firmly, and Lanuya nodded her head. "Yes, I agree David, you need your rest. Let me get you a blanket so you can get a little sleep." Lanuay said, standing up to go get a blanket.

David nodded, not sure what to make of the whole scenario. Lanuya... kidnapped... she is safe now, but... is there something she is hiding that I should know about, like some sort of injury? He reflected on it as he ate more of the soup, but he did not quite finish it, his curiosity and concern for Lanuya kicking in. What could be troubling her that I don't know about?

Amisa swallowed the pill with ease, taking a sip of the soup to wash it down. She ground her teeth together as Samil put the medicine on her wounds. They stung like... well, like they did in Hell. "I hope this helps. It would be unfortunate to have you go on like this." Samil said, placing a bandaid over the most recently treated wound. "I'm sure-" Amisa sucked in a breath as the medicine burned away the infection, "I'm sure all the pain will be worth it in the end." she reasoned, though sounded slightly un convenced. She watched as he dressed the wound on her foot, wrapping it with the streching linen from in the first aid kit. "Samil, I can't seem to thank you enough." Amisa said, eyes glued to his hands as he worked, "For helping me and getting me back here, and for helping me eat and get cleaned up. Now you're even treating my injuries. I'll never get out of you debt," she chuckled lightly.
---
Lanuya could sense David's worthed thoughts and quickly ran a gentle hand over his head, her delicate fingers combing loosely through his hair. "Please don't worry about it David," she asked softly, "Please? At least not until you've recovered. I'm fine now and that's all that matters." She said. Lanuya hadn't mentioned Amisa said and wasn't sure how David would react to her. Feeling relieved Lanuya had another vessel, or frightened there were now two he needed to look after, or freaked out or stressed or... Any range of these emotions weren't be kind on David's recoving body and Lanuya was careful to keep his as relaxed as possible. She drapped the blanket over him, holding his hand and sitting on the floor, the same level as his eyes.

David looked in Lanuya's eyes as she told him not to worry about it, her fingers loosely combing his black hair. "Please? At least not until you've recovered. I'm fine now and that's all that matters." The Arch-Nephilim nodded in response. I guess she's right... He smiled a little as she held his hand, comforted by her being there with him. After another moment like this, David closed his brown eyes and began to sleep.

When David closed his eyes to sleep, Joseph cleared his throat and began whispering to Lanuya. "Well, considering the circumstances, I feel you two may need Gamma 40, more than I will. You see, I mainly needed him for repairs and medical stuff, which was not often. The hyper little robot is almost always in a deactiviated state, and I think he will be happier with you and David. What do you think?" The tiny robot, which was hovering above David in a bored state, floated in front of Lanuya and chirped happily.
