He is very connected to nature and is able to communicate with plants and he also has a limited form of communication with animals that lets him know how they feel but doesn't let him actually talk to them. He is also able to influence the growth of plants and has a limited sort of control over all forms of flora. For example while he is strong enough to hasten the growth of most plants and create small vines from the ground he isn't able to grow more than a small tree from the ground.

Personality:
He is a very idealistic and optimistic individual, who can at times neglect his own needs at times, often putting the needs of others above his own. In public he can also appear to be a very reserved and laid back individual, almost always appearing in a state of utter calmness and rarely if ever getting angry. He can seem calm and laid back often to the point of laziness. However when in the presence of friends and people he can feel comfortable around he becomes much more talkative and energetic. Joe is very loyal and protective towards his friends and anyone else thats close to him, and deliberately hurting the people he cares about is one of the few things that can visibly anger or upset him. However he is also a very sensitive person even though he may not look at it, and it is in fact quit easy to upset him and get under his skin, no matter how much he tries not to show it.
