Mei Uchiha

"Toru..."

0 · 684 views · located in The Naruto Universe

a character in “Naruto: New World Order”, as played by Valium

Description

Image
Name: Mei Uchiha
Name Meaning: Alliance, Oath
Nickname(s): Little Red
Title(s): -
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Notable Features: Long black hair, black eyes that can turn red, Uchiha clan crest on her gloves.

Personality: Mei is a somewhat conflicting character. Having basically grown up in the Konoha hospital, she at times may come off as straight forward, the kind of person that wouldn't sugarcoat, and a girl who has a somewhat hard time socializing because she speaks her mind so often. Her time in the hospital has made her rather impatient, leading her to verbally lash out at people when her anger boils over. But in contrast, when interacting with friends or even acquaintances, Mei is a kind, caring and loving individual who has not been consumed by the Uchiha's Curse of Hatred. The amount of love and passion and drive in her heart is enough to make her react emotionally and irrationally, leading her to make rash decisions and risk her life at any given time. The promise she made to her brother is one that will be everlasting, and is what motivates her to grow stronger every day. Mei can be quite lazy at times, but when she sets her mind to a goal, she'll stop at nothing to accomplish it. She has a great sense of loyalty and respect, and will stop at nothing to protect her friends, family, kage and village.

Family:
- Itachi Uchiha (Grandfather, Deceased)
- Toru Uchiha (Brother)
Blood Type: O
Birthday: October 14th
Height: 5'3
Weight: 92 lbs
Marital Status: Single
Goal: To make her brother proud and prove her worth as a Uchiha clan member.

History: Mei was born as the granddaughter of Itachi Uchiha who, after defecting from Konoha, had found love in a second woman from a small village far from Konoha and the Land of Fire. It was said that this woman resembled Itachi's first lover, a woman he had killed during the Uchiha Clan Massacre. Their relationship was kept secret for her safety as the woman had no training in combat and was by no means a kunoichi. Their relationship, however, was short lived as Itachi was forced to leave in order to dedicate his time to Akatsuki and the protection of Konoha. The woman was transported from her home village to Konohagakure during roughly the same time Itachi and his partner Kisame returned to Konoha to 'retrieve' the Nine-Tails, and several weeks after settling into the village as a commoner, the woman discovered that she was pregnant, and she would eventually give birth to Mei's mother. Mei’s father was a civilian in Konohagakure who was related to the Uchiha Clan, but was not a full-blooded member of the clan.

Neither of Mei’s parents were shinobi. They had opened a small general store in the village and earned a living selling goods and produce. Mei’s mother became pregnant with twins, and after they were born, she had no idea that she was contributing to the expansion of the Uchiha Clan. As the twins grew, they were admitted into the Konoha Academy, where they progressed through their studies, earning top marks in their classes and both graduating at the age of 10. Toru, Mei's brother, was always the better one, and while he was labelled a child genius, Mei was simply an 'exceptional student'. Despite this, the twins were incredibly close with each other and became best friends of sorts. Toru gained access to his Sharingan at the age of 9 during his studies at the Konoha Academy, while Mei's sharingan was activated two years later. It was at that time that their parents finally revealed the identity of the twins' grandfather. By the time Mei's sharingan was activated, Toru already gained three tomoe, and when she gained her three tomoe (Age 13), her brother was already at Jounin rank. At the age of 14, it was discovered that Mei, like Itachi, had somehow contracted a fatal illness that was believed to be some sort of genetic defect. Thankfully, due to the fact that it was in its earliest stages, the doctors were able to suppress it through intensive medical treatments.

Four years later, their mother was found dead within their store, a victim of a robbery. Paralyzed by anger and grief at what she saw, Mei's Mangekyou Sharingan was awakened, and the suppressants that the doctors had given her stopped taking effect. Toru found Mei collapsed in the store, and though it was too late to save their mother, Toru immediately brought Mei into the Konoha hospital for treatment. After spending months in the hospital, Mei was finally released. By the age of 20, Mei was finally promoted to the rank of Jounin, but by this time, even without use of her sharingan, Mei's eyesight was slowly but surely deteriorating.

Hearing news about his sister's rapidly declining health has Toru extremely worried, and though he had insisted several times on helping Mei through a variety of means, she always refused, stating that she could take care of herself. After years of research, Toru found a way to help his sister, but at the cost of losing his own eyesight. He enlisted the help of an old mentor who lived deep within the forest of Konoha, and with the permission of the Hokage, the twins traveled there by carriage in utmost secrecy. The procedure took about a day, and Mei’s recovery took over a month. Mei was eventually well enough to return to the village, and she has been training hard for her brother ever since.

Village: Konohagakure

Skills and Abilities:
- Genjutsu: Mei excelled in genjutsu, which was one of the few differences she had between her twin brother Toru. She could effortlessly perform genjutsu techniques that were so convincing they were almost flawless in design. Her execution of techniques is said to be so fast that with so much as a brush of her hair, you could be trapped in one of her genjutsu.
- Ninjutsu: Though her ability in ninjutsu has been lacking, Mei still shows natural talent in the use of Fire Release as expected from a member of the Uchiha clan. With constant training, Mei's skill slowly improved despite her deteriorating eyesight. It seems that after Toru gave her his eyes, Mei's abilities have gotten a boost, to the point where she is capable of swiftly performing fire release techniques.
- Sharingan: Mei's sharingan developed at a much slower rate than that of her twin brother Toru. When she did manage to unlock the Mangekyou Sharingan, her eyesight began to deteriorate at a rapid rate despite lack of use. Mei first learned to use Tsukuyomi in her left eye, but before her training could progress her physical state began to deteriorate to the point where she was forced to stay in the hospital for a week. Ever since receiving her brother's eye, Mei's condition has slowly been improving. The use of Amaterasu was implanted into her mind when the eyes were transplanted, and Mei has unlocked the Sharingan's third technique - Susanoo.

History

~Mei's Backstory~

"... Wh..where are you taking me, nii-san?" Came the weak and barely audible voice of a girl.

Riding under the cover of night within a carriage, Toru and his twin sister Mei were traveling to the outer boarder of the Land of Fire, but only Toru knew fully where they were going. Not even the carriage driver was given any further instruction but to 'follow that path' or 'make a turn here'. Toru sat with his back against the side of the carriage, his face barely visible under the black cloak that was typically reserved for members of the ANBU. The man gently stroked his sister's cheek. Mei laid with her head resting on a pillow beside Toru, wrapped tightly in blankets. She was startlingly pale, and the rays of moonlight did little to illuminate the shade as it was roughly the same. Mei was visibly shivering even though Toru did his best to keep the carriage warm.

"Don't worry, Mei. Just rest." He told her softly.

Mei's condition had gotten much worse since they left the village several hours ago, and it had him worried. As Mei drifted off to sleep, Toru weaved a series of handseals and held his hand over her chest. A soft green glow formed around his palms, sending a calming wave of healing chakra through her body. After about a minute, the glow faded, and Toru sighed, leaning his head against the wall of the carriage as he thought his plan over. By his estimates, they would have to travel in the carriage for about forty more minutes before arriving at the hut. With a sense of dread weighing him down physically, and mental fatigue slowly taking over, he closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep.

By the time Toru came to, the carriage had already stopped, and the driver had already disappeared into the small building Toru called 'the hut'. It was a small, circular house made from stone and what appeared to be clay. From the outside, it appeared to be at least a century old, with nature waging a war against man's own creation, and winning. Vines crept up along the stone walls, tangling and intertwining with each other before wrapping around the roof. From a small chimney at one side of the hut, smoke spouted out before being carried off in the breeze. Toru smiled, memories of his childhood flooding into his mind as he took in the scene. He carefully shifting himself around Mei before leaving the carriage to get a closer look.

"This.. is the place." He muttered quietly to himself. He took one deep breath in, savoring the natural, unpolluted air. It was rare that Toru ever left the village on a 'vacation'. Even though this trip was far from one, Toru wanted to take in every last second of it, but what came next shattered all his hopes of relaxing.

Mei laid in a small pool of what appeared to be fresh blood, with most of it coming from the corner of her eyes and mouth. The sight of it made Toru's heart skip a beat, and in a frenzy of panic, he called for help. Toru rushed into the carriage, gently but quickly picking his sister up in both hands before exiting, her blood leaving stains his hands and clothes. From the hut, the driver came out, dressed in a black cloak similar in design to Toru's. When he caught a glimpse of what the panic was about, he too turned pale. He rushed to towards Toru, unsure of what to do. Moments later, an old lady exited from the hut as well. She, like the house, had to be at least a century old, with silver white hair tied in a neat bun and a wooden staff two inches longer than she was. She remained calm, a stony expression on her face as she shuffled to one side, as if she were permitting the others to enter.

"There is no need to panic, my child. Your sister will be fine." The woman said. She spoke much slower than any normal person, which only furthered the hypothesis of her age, but there was a wise, almost sage-like quality to her voice that made it hard for anyone to not listen to what she was saying.

Toru, unable to shake the sense of fear from his system, rushed towards the hut as fast as he could. When he entered, the smell of boiling herbs and burning incense assaulted his senses, mainly irritating his eyes and causing them to water. The door closed behind him, and the sound of a cane hitting against a solid surface could be.

"Place her down over there." The old woman commanded, pointing to a small bed that seemed to have been prepared for the occasion.

"Sensei.. you say she'll be alright, but she's even more pale now.. I.. I don't know what to do.." Toru said, a sense of urgency in his voice as he spoke. He could feel tears forming in his eyes, and he wasn't sure whether it was from the incense or from his situation. "You.. you have to save her.. please.." He added, this time in a whisper as he collapsed on his knees.

The woman simply looked at him, unmoved by the emotion. Without so much as a second word, she walked across the room to Mei's bedside and placed a hand on the girl's forehead. After several seconds, the woman pulled a stool from under the bed, placed the staff against the wall and got to work. "You are aware of what you must do, correct?" She asked him as she worked on stopping the bleeding.

Toru nodded, rising from his knees as he composed himself. "I am her older brother.. it is my obligation to keep her safe and healthy.." He told her, his voice steady now as he regained his composure. His research had led him to one final conclusion - the transfer of his own eyes. By sacrificing his eyes to his sister, he hoped that she would regain her vision, and hopefully strengthen her body enough to allow her to recover from whatever illness had stricken her.

The old woman nodded. "Very well then. Come, my child. When the bleeding stops, I will do my work." She said to him.

About a minute passed when color finally started to return to Mei's face. Mei opened her eyes, almost jumping when she saw the old woman staring back at her. "Toru? Where did you take me? What are we doing here? Who is this?" She demanded, a look of anger on her face. "I told you not to meddle in my affairs! Just leave me alone!" She shouted bitterly at him before coughing.

"Mei, this is for your own good. I don't want you to suffer anymore, just be still." Toru reasoned, his eyes focused steadily on her, ready to react if she decided to make a break for it. Knowing his sister, anything could happen, but from the look on her face, he could tell that she knew what he was planning.

Mei's face was drained of color once again, but this time in horror. "No.. No! I won't let you do it!" She nearly screamed. Mei jumped from the bed, sprinting towards the door, only to be grabbed by her brother. "Let me go Toru! I don't want your eyes.. mine are perfectly fine! Get away from me!" She said, struggling to break free. Her lack of physical strength and his skill in taijutsu made it all the harder, but she was determined.

"I'm your brother, Mei. I'm here to protect you, but this is the only way I can. Just calm do-"

"Toru! Let me go!" She interrupted, her eyes turning a familiar shade of red as a ring formed around six tomoe arranged in one big circle - Mei's Mangekyou Sharingan. But even despite rarely activating her Mangekyou, let alone using any of its techniques, her vision was blurred to such an extent that he was barely visible even though he stood only about a foot away. Toru responded immediately, his eyes forming what appeared to be a black sun.

"..Amaterasu!" Mei shouted, her voice cracking slightly as she shouted. Her right eye began to bleed. The black flames of Amaterasu, directed at her brother's shoulders, failed to stick as they immediately dispersed once they were created. It seemed that Toru reacted immediately, extinguishing the flames once they had been generated. Before Mei could react, Toru grabbed hold of Mei's shoulders, swinging her forward to face him. Their eyes met, and Mei was caught in her brother's genjutsu, which essentially paralyzed her.

"I'm sorry, Mei..." Toru whispered in her ear before taking a small pill from a wooden box and placing it in Mei's mouth. By the time Mei broke free from her brother's technique, the pill had taken effect and she fell to the floor, unconscious. Picking his sister up, Toru wiped the blood from her face before placing her back down on the bed. "Sensei..?"

The woman nodded, pointing to a table that was cleared, it seemed, during the brawl between Toru and Mei.

Four hours later, the windows of the hut were opened, and a steady breeze flowed through the hut. Any scent of blood had been masked by the herbs, while any bacteria in the air had been purified by the incense. On two, clean beds, Toru and Mei laid, wrapped in their own blankets with their eyes heavily bandaged. The woman sat on a rocking chair, staff in hand as she used it to rock herself back and forth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two weeks passed. By then, Toru had recovered, though now severely weakened, he felt an immense pressure lifted from his shoulders. He wore a blindfold now, black in color and wrapped around his eyes. He had resolved to stay with his old sensei, but waited for Mei to awake in order to tell her his decision. When Mei finally awoke, Toru slowly removed her bandages.
Mei drew back from him for a moment, the light hitting her sensitive eyes caused acute pain, but over time, the blur in her vision faded, and clear images of the world unfolded before her. At the sight of her brother, Mei broke down, crying with her head pressed against his chest. "I hate you.." She sobbed, an immense pain in her tone as she spoke. It wasn't true. Mei loved her brother dearly, but hated the choice and sacrifice he made in order to restore her vision and, quite possibly, save her life. It wasn't worth it in her opinion. He was the stronger one of the two, he deserved her eyes. Mei felt Toru's arms wrap around her small frame, drawing her in closer. For what seemed like eternity, Mei wept.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"You'll do fine without me, Mei. Trust me. Konoha needs you, and I need you to go back to Konoha." Toru had reassured her. The sun had risen to its peak, and Mei was left alone in the carriage, carefully thinking about her brother's words. The separation terrified her, and the idea of leaving her brother alone in the woods made her want to jump out of the carriage and run back to him. But he wasn't alone. He had his sensei. Tears began to form once again, though this time Mei angrily wiped them away on her sleeve. She was in immense pain, mostly as a side-effect of the illness and the eye transplant. By the time Mei arrived at the village gates, she had barely enough strength to walk, nearly collapsing had several jounin not been there to catch her.

Mei was rushed through the streets of Konoha, being taken to a place that she had become familiar with in her short lifetime - the Konoha Hospital.

So begins...

Mei was among the Jounin that would be assigned a team of Gennin this year, and as such the woman was standing in a crowd amongst her peers. The group was comprised mostly of other Jounin, but sprinkled here and there were a few older shinobi that had since retired from their ranks but still desired to teach and train the newer generation of kids. But in the sea of people, Mei was incredibly short, going by almost unnoticed due to her height and size in general. She was tiny for a kunoichi, but with her former illness taking its toll on her body, it wasn't much of a surprise that she didn't grow as big as her twin brother who stood a full head and shoulders taller and had a much more muscular build. The thought of Toru brought a smile on her face, but the emptiness in her heart was hard to ignore. She missed him greatly, and there was never a day since her transplant that Mei felt guilty for robbing him of his future. She should have been the one to give him her eyes, she was practically useless compared to him and his skill. He was the prodigal Uchiha, the legendary child that lived up to their grandfather's, Itachi Uchiha's name.

But her train of thought was interrupted when Ryu came crashing into the room. Mei sighed, a small smile forming on her lips. Typical Ryu... she knew him well. Watched him grow, in fact. They both lived on the Uchiha Clan Compound, a new section of Konoha that had been built once the few survivors and hidden clan members made their way back into Konoha; and they were both related not only by clan, but by distantly blood - her grandfather and his great grandfather were brothers. I wonder who he's going to be teamed up with... She thought to herself curiously. It was like an unspoken tradition that the Jounin never knew who they were to be teamed up with until the day the Gennin found out, unless the Jounin themselves specifically requested for a Gennin to the Hokage. In fact, the Jounin and the Gennin pretty much find out together. The process was both exciting and nerve wracking for Mei. The suspense was killing her. It would be the first team she ever mentored in her career as a Jounin.

Her eyes shifted to the rest of the classroom as she took a quick survey of the people and the place itself. The building and rooms hadn't changed in the least since she was a student - same desks, same blackboards, same teachers even. Hot-headed, impulsive, prone to violence... You haven't changed one bit, Morinaka-sensei. She thought with a cheeky grin on her face. But it was all for the best - they may seem tough, but they were preparing you for the future, for what was to come in your career as a shinobi or kunoichi. There were a lot of strange people outside of the village, a lot of personalities that one would have to deal with at any given time, so long as the Hokage gave the command. Learning from Morinaka and the rest of the instructors was learning patience and tolerance. No, it was having patience and tolerance drilled into your mind, because you really had no other choice but to sit back and listen.

With a sigh, Mei made her way through the group of mentors, exiting the Academy from the back. She would let fate run its course. Besides, she was going to find out who she would be mentoring one way or another. Then it was up to her to decide whether or not she would take on the task. As she rounded the corner of the Academy, Mei saw an unfamiliar face sitting on the steps and eating dumplings. Mei approached the girl, a smile on her face as she spoke to her. "Are you lost? This is the Academy... I think you look a little too old to be a student here."

"This is it," Seiji said to himself in his bedroom mirror as he tied his forehead protector around his head. "Today's the day I get sorted and assigned to a jounin mentor. I get to start training again. Today I meet my team and my sensei. Oh, I hope they're nice." Seiji worried. "Oh well, doesn't matter, it's time to go and worrying doesn't solve anything! Yosh! Time to start my path to the top!" Seiji exclaimed. He grabbed the last of his supplies and ran out the door, kissing his mother and punching his father in the process.

~~~~~
"There he goes." Tsukiko Hyuga said. "Off to meet his squad. Do you remember when we did that dear?" Seiji's mother asked her husband, Soushiro Hyuga. "Of course dear, like it was yesterday. That's the first day we met, remember?" Seiji's father asked with a smile. Continuing, he said, "Anyhow, if that punk kid hits me again, I swear I'll..." Seiji's father was cut off by a sharp pain in his side, Seiji had discretely punched his father with the gentle fist, jabbing him right in the tenketsu and sealing up the point. It always hurt so much when he did it, that boy had so little control over the amount of chakra he attacked with. It really messed with you system, just getting flooded by his stupid amount of chakra. First thing in the morning too, the little brat.
~~~~~

Seiji rushed to school. He stopped for a moment on top of Ichiraku to bow to the great stone heads behind the Kage's office. Naruto's smiling face forcing him to grin. It was such a wonderful likeness of him, they copied his big smile perfectly. It filled you with good cheer and hope just looking at him. As much as he loved to look at the faces, Seiji had to be off. He was starting his first step on the journey to get his face on the mountain. He couldn't be late. Plus, he couldn't wait to meet his new sensei and comrades in arms as well as see his friends at school. He'd been dreaming abut this day for a long time. He'd been looking forward to it even since he'd activated the Byakugan at the age of 5, well before many of his fellow Hyugas. Seiji walked into the classroom with plenty of time to spare. He sat in his usual spot and waited, his class filling in and taking their seats like they always did. This time, however, there was a hushed silence in the room. Everyone was waiting with bated breath for their assignments and squads. Morinaka sensei lectured about the importance for a bit then started conducting the last day of class. Seiji was taking notes, like usual, when he felt the urge. He raised his hand as was excused. Making his way to the bathroom, Seiji regretted that extra juice this morning, he might miss something important. Hurrying back from the restroom, Seiji was just about to walk in the door when something flew into his back and knocked him to the floor, spilling his ninja tools all over the floor.

"SAFE!" The boy shouted behind him as he blitzed through the door.

"NO YOU'RE NOT YOU IDIOT!" a voice shouted as the boy was kicked in the face. Morinaka sensei looked downright furious.

"What? But I made it before the door closed!" the boy got back up and shouted back, totally indignant in the face of what he obviously felt was a great injustice. Seiji chuckled, it was very funny to watch the boy, who he'd recognized as Ryu, get completely chew out in front of everyone. Seiji began the process of gathering his scattered ninja tools from the floor.

"NO YOU DIDN'T!" another kick to the face. "Someone was coming back from the bathroom when you shoved the door open and knocked them over! You're 10 minutes late! So apologize and then go sit down!" Morinaka sensei was breathing heavily as the red in his face slowly receded. Ryu staggered toward the seats like a zombie until he kicked was again. "I said apologize first!" getting back up, progressively slower each time, he looked at the person he'd knocked over. Walking over he offered a hand to them. By that time Seiji was just about finished with his ninja tools and was starting to get up.

"Sorry for knocking you over like that." he said, an apologetic grin on his face as he waited for Seiji to take his hand. Seiji did so gladly, "Thanks," he said. "Next time watch out, wouldn't want you to hurt yourself like that. You could have missed our jounin assignments!" Seiji said with mock seriousness, a deadpan look on his face that was obviously fake. Seiji laugh and returned to his seat. It was going to be a good day.

Klin Delfor
Trickster of the Cloud
Konoha- Academy

Kln was enjoying her dumpling on the stairs, looking up at the sky. It was a nice day, perfect missions, but not right now she told herself. "How they let a lazy person like you become Chuunin, I will never know." Nibi helpfully voiced in. Klin ignored her, she was used to it by now, and had years of ignoring her. "Seriously, Klin. I think I hear the Riakage asking where you are right now.". The Riakage scared Klin, he was strong and had an air of power about him, but like most kids wasn't afraid of the boogey man since she was 10. "Nice try, Furball."

Just then, Klin heard someone walk towards her, and then a voice. Are you lost? This is the Academy... I think you look a little too old to be a student here.. The voice sounded kind, and when she looked up, she saw a woman with black hair, who looked only slightly taller than her. That was not saying much, Klin was the shortest person of her year, and about the shortest she has ever known, save for Academy students.

Deciding that this was a chance to make a friend, and had no reason to lie, she stood up and shook off dumpling crumbs off of her. "No, I am not lost, although this is my first time to this village, it is very nice if I say so myself. I am suppose to be seeing the Hokage, but I traveled all night from the Hidden Cloud to get here. Oh yea, my name is Klin Delfor, Chuunin of the Cloud, nice to meet you." She spoke with a smile on her face, making Nibi groan inside, Geez, do you always have to be so friendly to everyone? I understand making allies, but you just don't care who you talk to do you?. Klin retorded in her head before returning to the woman.

"Do you have anything you need help with? I really want to avoid talking to the Hokage. They always tell me the same thing and will say when I am needed. I mean what is the point of sending a Jinchuuriki if you aren't going to use her, am I right? Althought I heard that the Nine-Tail container is in this village, so I might get a mission with him." Realizing that she had been talking without letting her respond. "Sorry for hogging the conversation, I tend to do that. What's your name, and why are you here? Are you a sensei?"

Location: Konoha - Academy

Mei listened to the girl speak. Her name was Klin Delfor, a kunoichi from the Hidden Cloud. How interesting that the Raikage would send a Chuunin over to Konoha to help around. This wasn't uncommon, however, as Konoha and Kumo had a tight alliance thanks to the relationship between B and Naruto. Shinobi of Konoha and Kumo were often traded and exchanged for a set amount of time before being sent back. It was like a sign of trust and respect, and such exchanges have been going on ever since the Fourth war. When she revealed that she was avoiding a talk with the Hokage, Mei smiled. That was common with people who came to the village. Ever since the new Hokage took office, rumors and stories had crossed the boarders about how dramatic the differences between the Hokage and Naruto were. And it was true that the Hokage would have most likely said whenever she was needed. There was nothing to do these days unless it was some diplomatic meeting. It was exactly like that for shinobi who were sent to Kumo - even her brother Toru had told Mei that he was scared to meet the Raikage the one time the twins were sent to Kumo. Of course, Mei didn't remember much as she spent a majority of her time in the hospital - her body couldn't handle the high altitudes, but she did remember that her brother was constantly complaining about being bored because the Raikage never gave them anything to do.

When Mei learned that Klin was a Jinchuuriki, she was slightly shocked. Sending a Jinchuuriki over was quite rare, especially because of the power and potential they had. When Klin finished, Mei smiled. "Oh, don't worry about it. Your story is interesting!" She told her honestly. She wondered what beast they had sealed within Klin. Perhaps it was the Hachibi. The Ox would definitely get along with the Fox within Ryu. "My name is Mei.. Mei Uchiha. I'm a Jounin, so I kind of had to be here at the Academy, but the suspense of waiting to be assigned a team was killing me, so I came out for a walk. I mean, the Gennin would be assigned to me one way or another, right? I might as well just relax for now until I'm given a team to train." She said with a smile. At heart, Mei was incredibly lazy, but the memory and promise of her brother kept her motivated to improve.

"At the moment there's nothing I can really think of... but you could always walk with me if you don't want to visit the Hokage yet. I plan to visit the Hokage Monument. You can't really miss it, all those heads on the side of the mountain." She told Klin as she turned in the direction of the monument. Even from afar, the heads were visible and stunning as ever. The heads of all of Konoha's leaders were carved into it - Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, Minato, Tsunade and Naruto. "Do you guys have anything like that in Kumogakure?"

Kaguya Kanashia

Village of the Hidden Leaf

Waking up Kanashia begins preparing for her day. It wasn't any normal day. Today was the day she would meet her team and Jounin. Needless to say she was excited. She dressed in her standard short sleeved clothes tying her forehead protector around her arm. 'I know it's supposed to go around my head but I want people to know who I am. Who my ancestors are.' After packing her ninja tools into her pouch she runs down stairs to the kitchen. Her parents are there with breakfast ready. She brightly exclaims "Good Morning!" She was lucky to have such wonderful parents. They went against the elder's decision twice keeping her and teaching her the way of her ancestors. They even understood when she asked to change her name to that of her ancestry. They stood by her side protecting and encouraging her her entire life through her time at the Academy and now as she went off to train with her new team. They were proud.

Upon finishing breakfast Kanashia kissed her parent goodbye and went running out the door. "Good Luck Ken!" her parents cry after. Kanashia took her time running to the academy. She could have made it in 3 minutes if she pushed herself but she was already going to be early. She stopped in front of the Kage's Mountain. The face of Naruto smiles over the entire village. She stood there smiling. He was able to change how the people saw the Jinchuuriki she made it her goal to change how the people saw Kaguya. She would become a great protector of the village. She didn't want to be the Hokage. That was to much pressure, she just wanted people to know and respect her.

She reached her classroom and took her seat. Morinaka sensei wasn't even here yet. She began studying her Ninjutsu and hand seals. She was going to be ready. After a time the rest of the class had arrived save for the Uchiha kid. A while into class one of the students left to use the restroom. As he came back into the classroom he was knocked over by none other than the missing Uchiha. Ken returned her attention to her notes. These two were no concern of hers. She'd never get paired with them.

Klin Delfor
Trickster of the Cloud
Konoha Academy

Klin was happy when the woman said her story was interesting, instead of being annoyed like a lot of people she knew. When the woman revealed her name, however, Nibi began to yell at her. "Get away from her NOW! Do you hear me, Klin? Her ancestors, Obito, trapped me and the other tailed demons away. Get away now.". Klin told her to stop being dramatic, and she knew about history, and that Mei seemed nice, and she had nothing to worry about. " Fine, but you better keep a close eye on that girl.. After agreeing, she focused in on what she was saying.

"A Jounin. That's so cool!" She yelled out, she thought it was cooler that she was about to be assigned a team, and wanted to see it. "Don't worry, I am sure you will be an excellent sensei. Do you have any favorites in the new class? Anyone particularly interesting?". She smiled wider, she was making a friend in the leaf, and a strong one at that.

When she asked if they had anything like the Hokage mountain in her village, she responded. "Well, we are all mountain, so we don't carve into them, but we do have statues of them in the village center, and we have nature areas named for them, very beautiful. They actually are home to some pretty rare fruits, so we take really good care of them."

When she asked if she wanted to join her, she thought and said, " I want to, but if you are about to get your team, shouldn't you wait here? Oh yea, can I join you inside? I kinda want to see the Leaf Genin, see how different it is from the Clouds. I promise I will not make sound, infant, I can even use my genjutsu to make myself not in visible. Please?". She gave Mei puppy eyes, her trademark look when wanting something, and she knew this was a big request, but she wanted to see her new friend in action as a leader, who could it hurt?

Mei Uchiha
Little Red
Location: Konoha - Academy

At the comment about Mei being a good sensei, the girl blushed. If only, Mei was horrified that she would fail as an instructor to the kids. She herself was still growing as a Jounin, barely with enough knowledge to teach the future of Konoha's shinobi and kunoichi. When asked about her favorites, Mei considered the question for a moment before shrugging. "Not in particular, I mean there are some students that I hear a lot about for... specific reasons, but I'm not quite that well acquainted with any of them. I'm sure they'd all make fine Chuunin and Jounin though, and maybe one of them may even become the Hokage some day." Though that's what she told Klin, in reality Mei didn't quite want to be paired up with a Uchiha. There was still a sense of shame that lingered in her mind regarding the clan's dojutsu. She went so far as to view it as a curse sometimes, and she was quite familiar with the concept of the Uchiha's Curse of Hatred. Thankfully none of that affected Mei - she had too much love, too much joy to think badly about anyone or anything other than herself and her own failures.

"Well we are all mountain, so we don't carve into them, but we do have statues of them in the village center, and we have nature areas named for them, very beautiful. They actually are home to some pretty rare fruits, so we take really good care of them." Mei listened to Klin respond to her question, imagining the Kumo of her mind and picturing gardens scattered here and there. Bright, vibrant, beautiful indeed. "That sounds amazing! Maybe one of these days I'll ask the Hokage for a mission in Kumo, I'd love to see the gardens for myself." She commented.

That was when Mei noticed a school official walk into the school. The scroll with the teams... it was time for the gennin to put together with their respective sensei. The girl could feel a knot forming in her throat, lost for words they entered the school and turned into the classroom. "Uh..." That was when Klin proposed to go into the academy with her to see the new students. Without hesitation, Mei nodded. "Sure, come with me, you don't have to use your genjutsu, the instructors will understand if they see me with you." She said, her voice slightly shaky, signifying that Mei was somewhat nervous. It was more for Klin's company that Mei wanted her to tag along. At least with a stranger around, Mei would try a little harder not to make herself look like a fool in front of a bunch of kids. "Here, come this way." She told her before heading into the Academy.

She was going to take the long way around and go in from the back. By the time she reached the back door, Mei could already hear the students getting slightly rowdy. It was understandable - the teams were officially going to be made. There was no avoiding it now. She reached for the handle, turning it slowly before pushing the door open as quietly as she could. She then motioned for Klin to follow as she weaved her way back into the group of Jounin.

Seiji Hyuga
Konoha's Great Blazing Spirit
Location: Konohagakure

Seiji and Ryu laughed and returned to their seats. Seiji was directly in the middle of the class, a perfect spot for taking notes. Seiji watched with a heavy heart as Ryu walked up to his seat in the back row. A couple of kids slightly slid away from him as he walked up and in-between the rows. It wasn't right. Sure he was a jinchuuriki, that didn't make him a monster. From what he knew, Ryu was a perfectly fine ninja, who had never shown an ounce of murderous intent in his life. It wasn't right, the way they treated him. Holding on to their parent's old grudges. Seiji resolved to be good friends with Ryu, even if they weren't partners. It wasn't fair to him to judge him because of the demon inside him.

Taking his seat, he settled in, knowing it could be a while longer until the papers declaring the teams actually showed up. Everyone was so excited, people were actually getting their teams today. Everyone was excited, everyone except the girl with the white hair, she looked like she barely cared about what was happening around her. Seiji had opened his notebook and was doodling ideas for new jutsu, when suddenly the door opened. He stood up in his seat, his whole face shining with excitement. Seiji wasn't the only one who did so, almost the whole class had reacted to the arrival of the official looking man. One kid had even fainted, Seiji only chuckled.

"Settle down class." Morinaka-sensei said to the class as the man walked in. "Don't just assume it's your team assignments, and even if it is, you should SIT DOWN!" he shouted, launching a piece of chalk which hit Ryu dead center of his forehead protector, knocking him over. Seiji was too distracted by Ryu's predicament that he didn't notice the piece of chalk fly towards his head. Reacting quickly, Seiji lashed out with his right hand, Gentle Fist activated, and smashing the chalk and creating a small powder poof at his hand. "Oops..." Seiji said, "Sorry, I'll clean it up later." Then the man spoke up.

"Actually, these are the team assignments Morinaka-san." the official said as they handed over a folder to Morinaka-sensei. "Yes!" Seiji thought. "This is it!" Ryu had voiced what seemed to be the class' unspoken anticipation. "Hurry, read them!" Ryu said, who was then hit by another piece of chalk in exactly the same place, Morinaka-sensei not even turning to see who shouted. Ryu quickly got up and sat in his chair to the laughter of most the class, Seiji couldn't help it, he had to chuckle, Ryu was funny, even if it was in a clumsy sort of way.

At that moment, Ookami Hyuga strolled into the classroom. Morinaka sensei was beginning the pairings, calling off their classmates and grouping them together, then sending them off to meet their jonin senseis. Ookami walked towards a desk second from the back. "Sorry I'm late Morinaka sensei, I had some important stuff to do." Ookami said with a smile as most of the girls began throwing hearts at him. "What a show off. Just you wait Ookami..." Seiji thought. "You think that's a good reason to show up to my class late Ookami." Morinaka sensei said as he threw an eraser at Ookami's head. "Ouch sensei." Kami cooed as he sat down and locked eyes with Seiji. Seiji only scoffed and turned his attention back to Morinaka sensei. Seiji had heard his name. "Next team: Seiji Hyuga, Ryu Uchiha, and Kanashia Kayuga. Please report to room Six to meet your sensei." Seiji stood, pointing at the Uchiha boy, "Seems like we're gonna be partners, I hope you aren't knocking me over for the rest of our time together." Seiji said with a laugh. Momentarily locking eyes with the Kayuga girl, Seiji smiled, trying to be nice. They were comrades now, even closer than schoolyard aquaintances, they were going to be teammates. Seiji got up and walked with his new team mates to room six and sat down in a chair Their sensei hadn't shown up yet, so Seiji figured he'd start the party. "Well, it's nice to meet you guys, I'm Seiji Hyuga, Konoha's Great Blazing Spirit! I'm a member of the main branch, so no, I don't have the seal on my head. I can use the Byakugan as well as the Gentle Fist. I'm looking forward to spending my days as a genin with you guys. Can't wait to get started!" Seiji said with a smile. He knew Ryu well enough to know that he was a nice kid and they'd get along, but he knew nothing about the Kayuga girl. He hoped she was nice, that she'd be a good teammate.

Right after he sat back down in his chair, Ryu noticed the dust cloud about Seiji and realized that Seiji had completely pulverized that chalk that was thrown at him. Ryu felt his fist tighten as frustration took over. He trained so hard, but Seiji already proved that he'd completely passed him by. Ignoring thoughts like that, he focused on Morinaka-sensei. Morinaka-sensei was beginning the pairings, calling off their classmates and grouping them together, then sending them off to meet their jonin senseis, this was when Hyuga Ookami strolled into the classroom. Ookami walked towards a desk second from the back. "Sorry I'm late Morinaka-sensei, I had some important stuff to do." Ookami said with a smile as most of the girls began throwing hearts at him. 'What a show off. Just you wait Ookami...' Ryu thought, unaware of the connection between his and Seiji's thoughts. "You think that's a good reason to show up to my class late Ookami!" Morinaka sensei shouted as he threw an eraser at Ookami's head. "Ouch sensei." Kami cooed as he sat down and locked eyes with Seiji. Seiji only scoffed and turned his attention back to Morinaka sensei. 'Yeah! You show him Seiji! That teme, always outdoing everyone and being so perfect! It really pisses me off!'

"Next team: Hyuga Seiji, Uchiha Ryu, and Kayuga Kanashia. Please report to room Six to meet your sensei."

"Wait, what?!" Ryu said in shock, mouth opening as he wrenched his head around to look at Morinaka. He was however, only spared a passing glare. His team. HIS team. HIS TEAM! Ryu stood straight up, the chair scraping along the floor as it was pushed back. Seiji said something to him, but he was so thrilled, so shocked, he didn't even hear it. He followed Seiji and Kanashia, a wide grin slowly stretching across his face as they walked on down the corridor. Eventually they made it to room 6, and so they settled in to wait for their Jonin. Sejii stood up after a minute, apparently trying to give everyone a chance to get to know the others.

Ryu couldn't help but grin, Seiji was the kind of person Ryu felt he could get along pretty easily. Ryu, not to be out-done, jumped on top of a table.

"My name is Uchiha Ryu, Grandson of Uchiha Sasuke himself, and soon to be Hokage as great as Naruto!" Ryu shouted out, giving a thumbs-up with a smile stretching widely across his face. "How about you?" Ryu said to the so far quiet girl, the smile still fixed onto his face.

Riyo Santo
The Painted Lady of Iwa
Location: Iwagakure - Streets

Riyo continued her walk down the street, meeting and greeting the villagers as she went. There was nothing out of the ordinary, or at least nothing that Riyo could sense or feel. Riyo passed by a street vendor selling steamed buns. Fresh.. and delicious. Should I? I don't really need to watch my weight.. let's do it. She thought to herself before purchasing a bun from the man. Though it was a plain white roll, Riyo still enjoyed it as much as she would have enjoyed some savory delicacy. Riyo ate away at it in her own unique way - peeling off small chunks and eating it as slowly as she could without seeming too weird to people who were observing her. The Tsuchikage continued her stroll until she reached the end of the street and found herself staring at one of the Stone Monuments erected throughout the village. This monument was no different from the others - a pebble placed upon an intricately designed pedestal, with more pebbles around it submerged in a small pool of water. It represented the Will of Stone, Iwagakure's nindo. She stood at the edge of the pool, looking with a sense of fascination at the monument.

Mei Uchiha
Little Red
Location: Konoha - Academy

As the students themselves were sorted into groups, another official came by and handed each Jounin a slip of paper, detailing the team members and the designated meeting spot. When Mei received hers, the color drained from her face as she read over the names. The one that made her most nervous was "Uchiha, Ryu" - She was going to be a mentor to a Uchiha? The thought horrified her, but in a way such a pairing made sense. Who best to teach a Uchiha the way of the shinobi than another member of the Uchiha clan? Or at least someone with knowledge in the clan's dojutsu. She kept going, learning that she was teamed with a Hyuga as well - a child prodigy that she had heard about multiple times from her peers. It was commonly said in tales by the elders that the Sharingan somehow was derived from the Byakugan, and though Mei never believed such a tale, perhaps this pairing would change her mind. The next name was slightly more shocking - a Kaguya? She had only heard about the Kaguya clan from textbooks. The clan was from the Hidden Mist, capable of a Kekkei Genkai that allowed them to use their own bones as weapons. They were fierce taijutsu fighters, but after the death of Kimmimaro it was believed that the clan had gone extinct. This certainly wasn't true as the clan is back and thriving now, but Mei expected the Kaguya to have returned home to Kiri. However, even if she seemed to be a 'foreigner' of sorts, that didn't mean Mei was going to treat Ken any differently.

After reading that she was assigned to meet them in Room six, Mei turned, locking eyes with Klin and giving her a look that seemed to say 'follow me'. At that, Mei weaved through the crowd, emerging at the other end just in time to see her group leave into the halls. She couldn't help but to wonder what the Gennin would think after seeing that their Sensei was going to be the girl who was famous throughout Konoha for constantly having to go to the hospital. Perhaps they wouldn't even know that Mei had been sick for most of her life. She headed out into the halls, waiting for Klin to catch up before heading towards her meeting spot.

When she finally arrived at the room, Mei found the kids talking amongst themselves already. She smiled to them. "Well, looks like you three are going to be under my care for the next two or more years... I'm glad to see that you're all getting along. My name is Mei, and yes.." She said as she held the back of her hands up to show the Uchiha Clan crest that was printed on the back of her gloves. "... I, like Ryu, am part of the Uchiha Clan. But don't think that means I'm going to go easy on you, Ryu." She added, looking straight at him with an 'i'm not kidding' kind of look in her eyes. "I'm going to be your sensei. Now, before we begin, does anybody have any questions?"

((Fortune, I hope you don't mind that I'm pushing your character along. I don't want to just leave her in the middle of nowhere :P))

Klin Delfor
Trickster of the Cloud
Academy

Klin was going thought the crowd of senseis and Genin, wondering why she was born so short. Don't worry, You saw where she went, and besides. Its not like this is unusual for you. Nibi said, making Klin groan, she knew Nibi was right, but being obvious was something unusual for her.

Klin eventually found the room she saw Mei enter, and waited at the door, listening to her talk. When she said she had another Uchiha on her team, Nibi only got more protective of Klin, saying to leave like a bat out of hell, which she ignored. Klin was happy, she sounded confident, even though she saw her hands shaking before she opened up to figure out her team. Seeing a friend happy made her happy, so after she asked if their where any question, she opened the door and walked right beside her.

"See, I told you that you would make a good sensei, and so far so good!" She said in her chipper voice, as she took in the squad. A taller girl with two red dots, whom Nibi informed was a sign of a long lost clan, and that she never expected to them again. Also present was a boy with white eyes, a sign of a Hyuga. And finally, was the boy who she saw earlier rushing here, who was also a Uchiha. All three students with rare abilities and blood lines, this woman mus be strong the the Hokage to assign to her. Nibi said, making Klin wonder what sort of power Mei had.

Klin noticed that she hadn't said anything yet and had interupted on Mei meeting her team, so saying something was probably needed.

"Hiya, I'm Klin Delfor. Chuunin of the Hidden Cloud, Jinchuuriki of the Two Tails, and friend of Mei. Make sure to respect each other, and all of that other stuff you learned in the academy.". She said the last part somewhat rushed, unsure on how to address these new Genin, but made Nibi laugh out loud. You really don't know when to stop talking, do you?. She turned to Mei and smiled at her, before turning to smile at the kids. "You got a good team Mei. I can tell."

Ookami Hyuuga
Yonbi Jinchuuriki
Konohagakure Academy

Kami had sat down allowing the chalk to hit him. No matter how much of a show off he was claimed to be, he knew when to and when not to let things hit him. He had heard Son laughing the whole time. Heh must be pretty damn funny, for you. Kami thought to himself with a smile and a small chuckle. Just then the pairings for the teams began as the jounin were walking in and boy Kami was just burning with anticipation, if he had a shot at fighting a jounin he would jump at it immediately.
"Next team: Hyuga Seiji, Uchiha Ryu, and Kayuga Kanashia. Please report to room Six to meet your sensei." Morinaka sensei stated.

That's what Kami had heard. His expression turned into a straight face as he turned towards the newly formed team. If there was anything he wanted more than to fight Seiji, it now became twice as fun because this was the day that a Hyuuga and Uchiha had been placed on the same team. Surprisingly it wasn't at all shocking to him, instead of just destroying one person he could go for them but why stop there when he could take on their whole squad.

There was a slight hesitation as Kami stood and walked out of the classroom before hearing who was on his team. "Son can you hear me?" "Well no duh, who else are you going to be calling Son" He stated with a gruff. Kami laughed and stopped in the middle of the hall. "I don't know why I just walked out of the room like that." Kami said pondering his actions just a few moments ago. Son yawned and pretended to smacl Kami in the back of the head by moving his hand forward so his crimson fur began to shake. "You do know that sometimes I think your really an idiot right?" Kami laughed again hearing the voice of his "brother" and his joking way of putting things.

"Yeah I know, and sometimes I think you need a bath but hey, you don't see me complaining." Kami said holding his nose laughing. It was moments like this that he enjoyed the joys of being a Jinchuuriki despite what anyone said. To Kami, if you were a Jinchuuriki and didn't accept the demon inside of you as a friend instead of a beast then you were doomed to fail. After a few minutes Kami had began walking once again and entered the nearest room. To his surprise the people he was just thinking about were all lined up with their jounin and another girl.

Making eye contact with everyone in the room Kami felt the passion filled rivalry in the eyes of Ryu. "Hmph" Kami said as he fully stepped into the classroom and leaned against the wall still looking at the team.

"I'm Kayuga Kanashia. You may call me Ken if you wish. I am currently the only known user of Shikotsumyaku. It is my goal to prove myself to the village and discover more about my ancestral family. I look forward to working with the two of you. I'm glad the three of us can be allies." she sounded bored, but Ryu was in such a good mood that he couldn't really find it in himself to care.

"Nice to meet you Ken-chan!" at that moment a woman with the trademark green vest walked in. Probably their Jonin! Ryu hurried and jumped off of the table.

"Well, looks like you three are going to be under my care for the next two or more years," he was right, she was their Jonin, finally, it was all coming together. The big grin was still going strong. "I'm glad to see that you're all getting along. My name is Mei, and yes.." She said as she held the back of her hands up to show the Uchiha Clan crest that was printed on the back of her gloves. "I, like Ryu, am part of the Uchiha Clan. But don't think that means I'm going to go easy on you, Ryu." She added, looking straight at him with an 'I'm not kidding' kind of look in her eyes. "Not a one, Onee-sensei!" Ryu said, the grin on his face getting downright cheeky. Suddenly another person walked in, judging by age, he'd say she was a Chunin, but not one he recognized.

"See, I told you that you would make a good sensei, and so far so good!" She said in her chipper voice, as she took in the squad. Well whoever she was, she apparently got along with their Jonin. "Hiya, I'm Klin Delfor. Chuunin of the Hidden Cloud, Jinchuuriki of the Two Tails, and friend of Mei. Make sure to respect each other, and all of that other stuff you learned in the academy.". She said the last part somewhat rushed, apparently embarrassed in front of so many people so didn't know. Another Jinchuuriki! Ryu didn't have much time to be shocked however, as she turned to Mei and smiled at her, before turning to smile at the kids. "You got a good team Mei. I can tell." Ryu decided at that moment to jump back up on the table.

"No she doesn't, she's got the BEST team!" he declared loudly to the world, this time flashing a victory sign. That was when Ookami walked in. Ryu went from cheery to ready to throw-down in no time flat. Instantly glaring at Ookami as best he could.

'Heh.' What, was that...?

'Tell Matatabi and the smelly chimp that their better says hello. The first time in over fifty-years this many of us have been together, might as well be sociable.' It was! The Kyuubi barely ever made his presence known, but Ryu definitely knew the voice well enough to at least recognize it. To the others, he would have merely become suddenly distracted by nothing in particular. Looking around at the people here, he slightly blushed as a hand came up to rub the back of his neck. Giving such an insolent message wasn't in his nature. But he wasn't about to ignore the Kyuubi's request.

"Umm, the...the Kyuubi says to say," Ryu took a deep breath to calm himself. "He says to tell Matatabi and the smelly chimp that their better says hello since he feels he should be sociable since it's the first time in over fifty years that so many of us have been in one place." he then gasped in air after getting the whole message out in one go. Realizing he was still on the table, he then climbed down. "Sorry. I don't know what the message means, I was just conveying."

I look forward to working with the two of you. I'm glad the three of us can be allies." she sounded bored, almost like she didn't want to be there. Seiji found it odd how... stiff she was.

"Nice to meet you Ken-chan!" Ryu said. "Mmm!" Seiji added, "You should lighten up, we're supposed to be comrades, friends. Being teammates comes after." Seiji said with a smile. For added effect, Seiji slapped her back, giving her a five star that she hopefully wouldn't find offensive. He wanted her to lighten up. For crying out loud, they were twelve... at that moment a woman with the trademark green vest walked in. Probably their Jonin! Seiji was so excited that he forgot to breathe for a second.

"Well, looks like you three are going to be under my care for the next two or more years," Finally! So exciting. Seiji still couldn't breathe, but he was grinning like an idiot. Seiji chuckled. "I'm going to be your sensei. Now, before we begin, does anybody have any questions?"

"Not a one, Onee-sensei!" Ryu said, the grin on his face still bordering on cheesy. Suddenly another person walked in, judging by age, he'd say she was a Chunin, but not one he recognized. Seiji could at least tell, from her forehead protector, that she was a Kumogakure ninja.

"See, I told you that you would make a good sensei, and so far so good!" She said in a chipper voice, as she took in the squad. Well whoever she was, she apparently got along with their Jonin. "Hiya, I'm Klin Delfor. Chuunin of the Hidden Cloud, Jinchuuriki of the Two Tails, and friend of Mei." Seiji gasped. A jinchuuriki from another village. Sure he knew that Ryu had a tailed beast within him, but it was so different when the jinchuuriki was from another village. Almost threatening even, it was strange, Seiji felt odd when it wasn't someone who he knew he could trust. What was she doing with their sensei? Seiji looked on in a small amount of awe as she continued. "Make sure to respect each other, and all of that other stuff you learned in the academy." She said the last part somewhat rushed, apparently embarrassed in front of so many people so didn't know. She then turned to Mei and smiled at her, before turning to smile at the kids. "You got a good team Mei. I can tell." Ryu decided at that moment to jump back up on the table.

"No she doesn't, she's got the BEST team!" he declared loudly to the world, this time flashing a victory sign. Seiji chuckled, but Seiji wasn't detered by his antics, he had a question for the Kumo nin. "I'm sorry if I come off as rude, Kumo-nee-chan, but why exactly are you in the Leaf? Is it for a mission or are you just good friends with Uchiha sensei?" The ninja from the cloud never got a chance to speak, at that point, Seiji's ni-san Ookami walked in. Seiji and Ryu instantly glared at Ookami as best they could. Ookami made a rude noise when he walked in. Seiji's face was beginning to turn red. "Oi, ni-san, this is OUR room for meeting with OUR sensei. Don't you have to meet with your sensei now? Aren't you excited to meet your own teammates? What are you doing here?" Seiji said. It was at that point that Ryu decided to speak up.

Flexing her back after Seiji had slapped it Ken hears a new voice and looks up to see a woman in a green Vest. 'She's our Jounin. Amazing! I can't wait to get started proving myself.' Ken stands and bows slightly. "Mei-sensei it is a pleasure to meet you. I can't wait to work with you and this team."

Before Mei could respond "See, I told you that you would make a good sensei, and so far so good!" She said in a chipper voice, as she took in the squad. 'The Kyuubi? This boy is the jinchuuriki? I'd heard it was an Uchiha but I'd have never though it would be this boy. Maybe there's more to him than I thought. This team may not be so bad after all.

Klin Delfor
Trickster of the Cloud
Academy

Klin watched in silence as the Genin szed her up, normal considering she had just walke din and declared herself a Jinchuuriki, but she let them study her, and Nibi didn't seem to mind at all, and said that they would not attack her. Klin responded by stating that she could take on a few Genin, which made Nibi yell, Look Klin. These Genin are all very powerful, you could take them, but that would make Mei angry at you, and I don't think you could take her. Klin didn't want to find out.

She chuckled to herself when the Uchiha boy declared that Mei had been given the best team. He reminded her a bit of the stories of the hero Naruto of the Leaf. She grew up hearing the stories, and how he saved the world. Her mom even told her that she had met him when she was a Genin. The Hyuuga boy spoke, "I'm sorry if I come off as rude, Kumo-nee-chan, but why exactly are you in the Leaf? Is it for a mission or are you just good friends with Uchiha sensei?" . The question didn't surprise her, she had walked in, but before she could respond, another boy walked in and he honestly seemed like he wanted a fight.

"Sorry. I don't know what the message means, I was just conveying.". This threw Klin for a surprise as well as Nibi. This kid is the contained for Kurama? Klin, this kid is getting stronger by the minute. And tell him that Matatabi still wants a rematch over the better one Klin decided that she wasn't going to tell hm that, as fighting him seemed a little preemptive at the moment. After the Hyuuga boy yelled at the other Jinchuuriki, he left.

"Alright, some family history I am guessing." She said to attemp to lighten the mood. "And to answer your question, my mission is to assist Leaf Ninja in what ever way I can, and it isn't rude to ask, it is actually pretty smart. Never know what someone is planning, so asking is good. And you," She turned herself to face the Uchiha boy, "If you ever need help learning control over Kurama, don't be afraid to ask." She smiled and then surendered to what Nibi had been yelling at her. "Nibi says she is still looking for a match to see who is the better, she says he fought dirty last time. Don't worry, she is just a big kitty cat." She then turned to Mei. "So you want me to stick around? I could help with your team exercises, although we might start our Genin off a tad differently in the Coud. Do you have giant animals in the nearby forests?"

Hakui Gekizai
The Devil's Surgeon
Location: Outside of Iwagakure

Hakui crept silently through the forests outside of Iwagakure. He'd heard that Koota and Takezo were heading from there toward the Land of Honey. It had been his idea to meet there. His plan was to hold the meeting silently, in the darkness of night, to discuss a more permanent location. Then, like an ungodly disease, rotting inside the bountiful cities of the Land of Honey, they would leave as an illness does once they were quite finished. Violently. Hakui had to smirk. It was going to be such a good day. He'd started this particular morning with a very successful experiment in Chakra maniuplation. He'd learned that Darkness was the only type of Nature that could hold Chakra's of other natures. That poor little Water type ninja. Hakui had hoped Water would be the most flexible of all the other natures, that it would accept Darkness type. It really was a pity. That poor man, he was in a better place, resting in pieces. Hakui bowed for a moment in silence of his contribution to medicine.

At that precise moment, Koota and Takezo were walking down the path he was hiding in. It had to be them, one of them was wearing an Akatsuki robe. He waited a moment, just to confirm and heard them speaking. "At any rate, my infiltration was a failure, I ran into a woman with a monstrous amount of chakra. The old man then began to babble, I had to make a tactful retreat or waste time talking about his old days. Since we have one success I suggest we head to the Land of Honey for the next meeting, after all a prosperous country such as that would never expect an organization like Akatsuki to use it as a temporary meeting place. My compliments to whoever came up with the idea." The other, not wearing his robes, only nodded, finally donning the black robes that confirmed his status as a member of the new Akatsuki. Waiting till they had past him, Hakui burst from the foliage. "At last," he proclaimed, "Hakui, The Black Scalpel is here! Thank you ever so much for your compliments about my genius. I figured that it would be the best place to plan our permanent location. Finally, when we're done with the place, I suggest we raze it to the ground, as a sign of things to come. The Akatsuki is back, gentlemen, and I think it is time we said 'hello.'"

Seiji Hyuga
Konoha's Great Blazing Spirit
Location: Room 6 of the Ninja Academy, Konoha

Kami looked at Seiji with a grin and simply stated, "When we fight, if you can't hold your own against me for three minutes, then your not worthy to be called a Hyuuga Prodigy." Kami said this in a hostile voice before turning and walking back into the classroom with the rest of students. Seiji's cheek's flushed and his eyes blazed with spirit. Seiji burst out the door after him and called after him, "Just because You're a jinchuuriki doesn't mean you can go underestimating whoever you want! Just you wait Ookami-ni-san!"

Walking back into the room, Seiji sat down in a chair, his thoughts were racing, his heart thumping in his chest. "Just you wait Ookami-ni, just you wait..." Finally, after he'd settled down, he heard Kumo-nee-chan speak up. "Alright, some family history I am guessing." She said to attempt to lighten the mood. "And to answer your question, my mission is to assist Leaf Ninja in what ever way I can, and it isn't rude to ask, it is actually pretty smart. Never know what someone is planning, so asking is good." Seiji nodded in response to the compliment, "Thank you."

"And you," She turned herself to face Ryu, "If you ever need help learning control over Kurama, don't be afraid to ask. Nibi says she is still looking for a match to see who is the better, she says he fought dirty last time. Don't worry, she is just a big kitty cat." She then turned to Mei-sensei. "So, you want me to stick around? I could help with your team exercises, although we might start our Genin off a tad differently in the Cloud. Do you have giant animals in the nearby forests?"

At the mention of giant animals, Seiji stood up. "Oh boy! Really? I've been wanting to try fighting something like that for a while! Please Mei-sensei?" For added effect, Seiji even used big fake puppy-dog eyes. It probably wasn't as cute and persuasive as he thought it was though, those white eyes were kinda freaky sometimes, people often told him so.

Mei Uchiha
Little Red
Location: Konoha - Academy

Mei watched and listened to her pupils as they spoke with excitement to each other. She herself was excited to take them for their first day of training, but she wasn't quite sure what kind of training she would put them through, especially on the first day. When Ryu passed on the Kyuubi's message, Mei had a slight expression of confusion on her face. The tailed beasts knew each other? She knew the whole story about the Sage of Six Paths dividing the Ten Tails into nine massive entities of chakra known as the Tailed Beasts, but she didn't believe it to be true. When things settled, Mei cleared her throat in preparation to speak. "Alright! If there are no questions, then let's head out of here. Follow me!"

Mei headed out of the doors, headed for one of the many training grounds scattered around the village. She still wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do, but the sight of kids running around the village gave her a spark of inspiration. Skill Assessment. She didn't quite know what the gennin were capable of, so perhaps she would let them show her. When she reached the training field, Mei waited for the others. "So I know you've all just come out of the Academy... but the real hard work begins right now. I want to know a little more about you guys though, so we'll have a little fun with this. Let's see who's the first to be able to lay a hand or a technique on me. You may all work individually, or work as a team, but the little competition begins now. Best of luck to you all!" And with that, Mei's eyes began to change from its normal shade of black to a glowing red color. The trademark three tomoe of her sharingan could be seen as she activated the dojutsu. With it activated, Mei's reaction time and perception would be boosted dramatically. It would be interesting to see how the kids would respond to this challenge, and how they would work in order to accomplish the task.

Kanashia Kaguya
Ken
Konoha- Training Grounds

Ken followed the rest of her team and new Sensei to what she thought was going to be training. "So I know you've all just come out of the Academy... but the real hard work begins right now. I want to know a little more about you guys though, so we'll have a little fun with this. Let's see who's the first to be able to lay a hand or a technique on me. You may all work individually, or work as a team, but the little competition begins now. Best of luck to you all!" Ken smiled at this challenge put out by her new Sensei.

Ken darted into some brush on the side of the field and began to formulate her plan. ' She obviously is using her sharingan so a direct attack won't work. If I used a smoke bomb to cloud her vision I could strike from behind with a kuni.' Liking her plan she darts through the brush getting into position. Once behind her teacher she throws a smoke pellet at her feet shortly followed by a kuni aimed for her legs. 'There that ought to do it.'

Seiji Hyuga
Konoha's Great Blazing Spirit
Location: Konoha, Training Grounds

"Alright!" Mei sensei said after everyone had finished, "putting If there are no questions, then let's head out of here. Follow me!"

Mei headed out of the doors, followed closely by Seiji and the rest of the group. Seiji was literally shaking with anticipation. He was so excited for the first real day of training. Team Mei headed for one of the many training grounds scattered around the village. When they finlly got there, Mei-sensei turned to face them and spoke, "So I know you've all just come out of the Academy... but the real hard work begins right now. I want to know a little more about you guys though, so we'll have a little fun with this. Let's see who's the first to be able to lay a hand or a technique on me. With it activated, Mei's reaction time and perception would be boosted dramatically. It would be interesting to see how the kids would respond to this challenge, and how they would work in order to accomplish the task. Seiji spoke up, "Guys, we should work together! It'll be the easiest way to win. All we have to do is touch her." Just as he was finished, however, Kanashia was no where to be seen. Great. "Alrighty then, Ryu, back me up! I'm a water technique user, if you've got lightning or ice, combo your attacks with me!" Seiji said, activating his Byakugan. Seiji was formulating a plan in his head, however, at that moment, Kanashi darted out from some brush and tossed a smoke bomb at Sensei's feet from behind her. There's the opening! Seiji used the body flicker technique to move back to where Ryu was and formed hand seals as quickly as he could, "Suiton: Tearing Torrent Technique!" Seiji raised his right hand and a ball of water the size of a basketball formed in it, floating an inch or so from his palm. Seiji aimed and fired his rapidly moving stream of water at the place where he could see Sensei's Chakra points through the smoke. Immediately after the water struck, Seiji moved to the place where he could see Mei-sensei's Chakra points, his gentle fist blazing.

Hakui Gekizai
The Devil's Surgeon
Location: Between Iwagakure and the Land of Honey. Travelling.

Hakui listened in silence as the others spoke. "Hell, four of us here and we haven't even made it to the meeting ground. If I were a conceited upstart I'd think I'm special." Obviously cracking a joke at Hakui, who made a plan in the back of his head to murderize the silly old man. "[b]Though I think I'll play the counter argument this time Hakui. After all that small nation may have deeper pockets than most anyone and never seen war, but messing with it too much will draw attention to ourselves. So a great leveling or conquest this round I must question for the sake of long term benefits. Though I guess this is a great time to voice a couple points that I intended to voice at our meeting: an evaluation of the two man cell, sure it worked for the previous incarnation but we also saw it let them get hunted down. A classic speed versus power debate really. The second point being as you said a permanent base, and my final point being how to we wish to go about this. Our predecessors quickly got all the major nations on their tail, but used a minor village as a base. Should we use our own might to try breaking the major nations up front. Or shall we extort all the minor villages, they should be chaffing under the after effects of the Five Nation Shinobi Alliance. There should be plenty of hatred there for us to extort." Kootta slipped his gloves on before he finished his idea.

"We have power, and they have some resources and a lot of cover...since we have what they desperately need to level the field, I think an arrangement can be made." He wisely pointed out. It was brilliant. Then Takezo spoke.

"The smaller nations certainly hold quite a bit of power if they are united by even a loose alliance. The larger nations would have numbers on their side though the former Akatsuki had a larger force than the Shinobi Alliance as well but we all know how that ended. We would have financial power on our side. With multiple villages that can serve as bases it would be harder for the Shinobi Alliance to uproot us. Also if we can manipulate the Daimyos of those nations then we will have true power on our side." Hakui nodded in approval. They really were a smart bunch. Hakui had to hand it to them He was glad he was finally in a place with his equals.

"Our next step would need to be to break up the Alliance so that war can break out. Peace is bad for our line work so the sooner a war breaks out, the sooner we can get the high paying jobs. Though we could always aim for the bingo book too. I would suggest sparking up a war between the Land of Lightning and the Land of Fire since they have the largest armies in the continent. We would have to disguise Akatsuki as a group of independent mercenaries." Hakui nodded again, it was another master stroke, plus it would keep Konoha, who meddled quite thoroughly in the last Akatsuki's business, off of their tails for a while.

"On the subject of disguise the matter of our pairings is vital. If rogue ninjas pair up in our clothing we will certainly be uprooted quickly. First of all we need to slim the robes down to something that would seem more symbolic, like a headband using copper in for the cloud. That would make us seem as mercenaries who appreciate the Akatsuki for the fact that the old group served as excellent soldiers for hire. Then we need to go straight to individuals. We will not be able to back a massive punch but this will be as we gather strength. Unless a Kage faces one of us themselves I do not think we will have much to worry about." Takezo finished. Again, Hakui nodded silently. Take out the influential figures and watch them fall apart, as long as it was done quickly and quietly, there would be no mess and no Kages to fight. At that moment, another of their members join. The woman shinobi from Kumo.

"Well that sounds simple enough. But wheres the fun in that. There's no blood shed or killing involved with that type of plan. As for the nations and their dealings, well I agree. Exploiting the villages could be our greatest asset seeing as how we could take control of the minor countries, such as the Waterfall village. They have a reasonable amount of supplies and lets just say, when you spill their blood it looks like art." She said with a devilish smile and closed her Akatsuki robe, pulling her hair out and letting it fall onto her shoulders. Hakui pointed at her and directed his thoughts at the others, "I like her," he said. "We should do more of that. In all seriousness, these were excellent excellent suggestions my minio...partners! We should save them, however, until we reach the meeting. Onward!" Hakui finished with a fantastically manly pose, pointing into the distance. "With that, gentlemen, dear lady, let us be off." Hakui finished and took off towards their destination.
