ā€œNever say good-bye because saying good-bye means going away and going away means forgetting.

Peter Pan lived secluded in his hut as a boy hiding from the world. He had no knowledge of where Tinkerbell was and definitely no knowledge of where Wendy and her pesky young brothers were anymore. She was probably living a wonderful life with a husband, kids, and a fancy job in England. Time seemed to move slowly in Neverland, much slowly than in the real world, and, when you never age, time just becomes a nuisance. There was no one left for Peter to track down and kill, the indian tribe wanted nothing to do with him anymore - well - except for Tiger Lily, and the mermaids seemed to never poke their heads above the water's surface. Without Tinkerbell, Peter couldn't fly, but when you're not thinking happy thoughts you can't fly anyway. "I should have made her stay.", Peter said out loud to himself as he paced across the floor. Something had to be done. Something new had to occur. The Lost Boys were getting bored and Peter was running out of orders to give them. Who knew killing Captain Hook would be more of a burden than a solution!

A lot had changed since the last time he had seen her. And if she did somehow lay eyes on him again, she would be looking into the eyes of a stranger. Peter had lost his charm, his magic, his soul. Tiger Lily was his only true companion. For so long she had looked at him with longing eyes and helped him with everything he needed. Yet, when Wendy arrived, Peter didn't take one look at Tiger Lily or give her any type of attention. If he had been a man, he might have felt quite badly about that. But yet, he was just a boy and boy's do not feel the concern of girls and their longings. He cared for her, truly, but Peter could never understand what "love" meant. He had pondered it, more than once also, but he could not make himself feel those things. In the end, he decided that he was incapable of it - just as Hook had told him so long ago. He could always rely on Tiger Lily though, which is why he cared for her so deeply. She would never run away or abandon him such as Wendy Darling had done.

As he became lost in his thoughts, a sudden crash rang throughout the forests of Neverland. What could it be? The pirate ship was tied up and wading on the nearby beach, waiting for another one of Peter's crazy adventures. What could make a sound like that? Surely it wasn't Captain Hook back from the dead! Grabbing his pirate's hat and sword, Peter ran off into the jungle. Although his physical appearance might have aged him, Peter was still a young boy in his heart. He was yearning for adventure and excitement. But more importantly, he was looking for trouble to get into. Along the way, Peter whistled for the Lost Boys to join him and his cry rang throughout every inch of the forest. "What is it, Peter?" One of them asked. "What are the orders!" Another bellied. As he signaled for them to quiet down, Peter parted large blades of glass and observed the cause of the loud crash. It definitely wasn't Hook and it surely wasn't the ship crashing. He knew he had to be dreaming. This wasn't possible! Not in the slightest! "I-It's...It's a Wendy."

"Ugh..." Wendy groaned in pain, her fingers twitching slightly. Her heavy eyelids opened slowly and her hiss-like-breathing quickened as she scanned her surroundings for a small, evil little fairy with a small, stone cold heart. Wendy saw many tall blades of grass which could stab her eye out and cause her even more pain than she was already in. The light green around her blended with the damp dirt as small tears formed in the bottom of her eyes when she finally realised how much pain she was actually in. Her spine felt twisted and shredded. Sure, when she was young, she survived such a fall without all the bruises and cuts, but she'd grown up. A sharp pain dug into her skull from the top of her head. Wendy raised her hand so it was in view. She examined the back of her hand, moving it to the back of her head and feeling a warm liquid spill over her skin. Blood. Her head was bleeding. "Tink..." She hissed through her tightly clenched teeth.

Closing her eyes for a moment and she saw golden sparkling fairy dust flying into her face and blinding her. She has flew through the velvet sky, the moon glaring down at her and she did some sort of barrel roll in mid-air with her clothes flickering violently in the wind. Trying to balance her self again, her arms had raised instinctively out to the sides as if they were wings of a beautiful bird and her clothes caught some of the wind, trying to save her from falling. Nothing could stop the falling. She fell for what seemed like an eternity, her happy thoughts long gone now. She fell and fell and fell to her impending fate headfirst.

Her heavy eyelids lifted again for a second time and she noticed a man in the corner of her eye. No way.. Tinkerbell was telling the truth, I thought she was lying.. That little bitch, I still hate her guts and I always will. A few more men came into her view as she turned her head slowly towards them, groaning as a stabbing pain hit her in the lower part of the neck and top of her back. Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, had finally grown up with The Lost Boys. "P...Peter?" Her voice was strangely horse as she pushed herself up. She hissed violently and gritted her teeth again. "Peter.. You've.. You've grown up..."

ā€œNever say good-bye because saying good-bye means going away and going away means forgetting."

Peter couldn't believe the same girl was standing in front of him. Except for being a little older, she still looked exactly the same. The same soft brown hair and still wearing beautiful ribbons in her hair. What was he thinking, things were completely different now and there was no doubt Tiger Lily would be popping out of the jungle soon to claim her territory. "H-Hi, Wendy..", was all that he could mutter. What were you supposed to say to someone you hadn't seen in so long? How were you supposed to carry on a conversation with a stranger? Peter was never good at small talk. That was something that men were forced to do in everyday life and Peter would be the first one to admit that he was no man. He would never be a man. In the end, Peter blamed that as the reason why Wendy ultimately left him. Although he was very confident in himself, it was a bit awkward standing in front of her with so little to say. The Lost Boys watched on anticipating what would happen next. "I'm not grown up!" Peter yelled back at Wendy, insulted by even the mention of the word. "I might look a little differently, but I am certainly not grown!". That would set her straight. Peter couldn't have everyone thinking that he was grown up. Growing up meant that he was wrong about everything he had ever said. Growing up was the worst!

Moments later, Peter could finally focus his attention off of Wendy and her new appearance. He began to wonder how she was able to arrive back at Neverland in the first place. Why was she there anyway? Had she come back for him? Surely not. If she was, there was sure to be an immense war. "Why are you here, Wendy?" He asked curiously as the realization had hit him of how she was able to return. There was only one way, one person, that could have brought her back. An old friend who was also a complete stranger to Peter. Tinkerbell. "Wherever Tinkerbell is hiding, tell her to take you back from whence you came!" He muttered, tightly closing his lips and looking away, knowing she would be hurt by the statement. Things were different now. Although Peter was not grown up, he had learned a few things from meeting Wendy. He learned that no one could be trusted and that "feelings" were definitely no good.

In one instance, Peter was curious about where his longtime friend had headed with her life. Where she was living, what she was doing, and if she was happy. But along with those answers came others - marriage, children, and a life without him. All curiosity that he had had quickly disappeared. He no longer had room in his heart for her or any concern for her. The quicker she left, the quicker things could go back to normal.

Tiger Lily sat in her teepee back at her tribeā€™s camp as she brushed through her long dark hair. Normally sheā€™d be with Peter, she hardly ever left his side these days, in all honesty the two of them needed each other, at least she had come to believe that. The reason she wasnā€™t with him today was her father, he was terminally ill. You always hear how great Neverland is in the stories, but never once do you hear the back side. Her father was dying, the chief didnā€™t have much more time and soon, Tiger Lily would have to step up and take care of her tribe, that was if they didnā€™t turn against her for taking Peterā€™s side. With her father out of the picture, they might not be as tolerant of the young princess.

She split her hair and braid each side making pig tails, as heartless as it sounded she wished her father would just die already, he was suffering being alive. He was the only one who actually believed there was still some good in Peter. She sighed at the thought of the old Peter in a way she missed him, but at the same time that Peter was in love with Wendy. She stood up as she made her way out of the teepee and into her fatherā€™s tent. His eyes were closed and he seemed peaceful as he breathed slowly. She kissed his forehead. ā€œIā€™ll be back soonā€ she whispered softly as if he could hear her.

She then began the long quiet walk to the Lost Boys tree house. She enjoyed her walks their it gave her time to think and her eyes glanced down as she saw a crow feather on the ground she knelt down picking it up and placing it behind her ear, it brought back memories she couldnā€™t but smile, she couldnā€™t help but think of a much simpler time. She walked for a while longer and then a familiar voice bit at her ears and instantly she froze. "Peter.. You've.. You've grown up..." she peered at Wendy and Peter and the Lost boys, of course like always she was invisible, hidden by a tree across from where everything was happening. Instantly her heart sunk and she couldnā€™t control the tears that began to dot her dark blue eyes.
EDIT

The tears quickly turned to anger as she placed her and on the small dagger that she carried everywhere with her. Then another thought crossed her mind, she could always take her to the mermaids, they had turned rather evil their selves. Then she heard Peter's voice telling her to leave and she felt a dark smile paint her lips. She stepped out from behind the tree, walking arrogantly toward the group. "Looks like little Miss Wendy is no longer wanted her." she smirked "No one wants a mother, no one want a brat, No one want Wendy." she with a twisted smile and a vicious tone of voice as she glanced to Peter.

Wendy's stomach was already in knots from seeing Peter again, wondering what he would say or if he would have stayed silent and just struck her down for what she did to him. A wave of guilt overtook her as she heard him speak for the first time. Wendy's eyes were fixated to the floor because it hurt to look at Peter and all the time she had wasted by leaving. She knew what she did all those years ago had been the biggest regret of her life. Her life was never quite normal after Neverland but she never expected to return, nevermind Peter and The Lost Boys growing up. Neverland was a place full of dreams where ambitious children could become whatever they want. An adventurer, a hero... A Pirate. Yet another wave of guilt hit her with full force as she heard the smooth voice of Hook as she told him and his crew the stories she told Peter and The Lost Boys. Captain Hook is gone, what has Peter been doing this whole time? Out of nervousness, she started to play with the end of her shirt, twisting it around her fingers in an endless loop.

"I'm not grown up! I might look a little differently, but I am certainly not grown!"
"Just a stubborn as always, I see..." She mumbled under her breath quietly, so he would not hear. Now wouldn't be the time for making remarks. "No-one ever actually grows up, Peter. You are just forced into responsibilities. If anyone actually grew up, it would be such an unbelieveable shame that they should hope get back in touch with their inner child soon. John and Micheal miss you dearly, and The Lost Boys. I've missed you, too.." She glanced up at him momentarily, then fixed her eyes back onto the floor. Where was Tinkerbell anyway? It doesn't seem too bad here. It's normal, to be honest... Except them growing up. It's so bizare, to think that I had lied to all those children who had asked for a story and I told them of the boy who never grows up. They should never know, though. I still have no idea what Tink thought of as so bad.

"Wherever Tinkerbell is hiding, tell her to take you back from whence you came!" Wendy looked up at Peter, her eyes locking onto him for a moment as if to ask if he really meant it. He did. The knot in her stomach tightened quickly and harshly. She swallowed hard, pressing back tears in her eyes. Well, Wendy, what did you expect? An embrace? You must have left him so hurt, you stupid girl. Why would you ever want to grow up? You could have had an amazing life here with Peter, The Lost Boys, Michael and John, Tiger Lil-- Her thoughts were suddenly disturbed by the thought of Tiger Lily, and then as if she knew, she stepped out from behind a tree.

"Looks like little Miss Wendy is no longer wanted here. No one wants a mother, no one want a brat, no one want Wendy." Tiger Lily instantly made Wendy's blood boil with anger. I'm just as much a brat as Peter is a grown up! She had no right to comment! She just smiled polietly, her eyes moving to lock onto her. "Hello, Tiger Lily. I would be leaving, seeing as I am so badly un-wanted as you say, but Tinkerbell is no-where to be seen. And even so, if Tink had went to all of the trouble to find me in England there must be something wrong. Certainly was a shock to see everyone aged. Time has not been kind to you, I fear." She almost growled the last part of her sentence. "Oh, and if I am the brat you are the angel, who has done nought wrong through-out her life. I didn't mean to leave your precious Peter hurt, I would never have done that. You, got my brothers captured by Hook..."

She advanced gradually, the rage inside her really welling up and little she could do to stop it. "You could have gotten them killed. You left poor John heartbroken after you kissed him, and then didn't shed an ounce of emotion when we left!" She ended up screaming, seeing her brother's tears in the back of her head. Wendy stood her ground directly in front of Tiger Lilly and proded her chest. This probably wasn't her smartest move. "You could have tried to pretend you cared about John, it took him a while to get over you. You don't even dare call me a brat when you broke a young boy's heart. He thinks you're a dream, it was the only way to get him to calm down." She growled and moved swiftly away. She still felt as if she knew Neverland well, and moved off to search for Tinkerbell.

ā€œNever say good-bye because saying good-bye means going away and going away means forgetting."

Enraged by the sight of her and by everything he was hearing, Peter bit his tongue and tried to hold back. He didn't want to hurt her. That was the last thing he had ever truly wanted to do, but he had to say whatever he could to get her to leave. He knew he was evil and corrupt, but part of him was beginning to enjoy it. In a way that he would never admit, Peter was beginning to understand Captain Hook and his ways. When you have nothing good to stand for, you can quickly become a monster. Hearing a twig break, Peter quickly turned his head to find Tiger Lily standing close by. This wasn't going to be good. The Lost Boys looked on in amazement, and there was no chance of them deciding to help out! Where were Michael and John? Did they come with her this time? Surely Wendy wouldn't have left them behind. Knowing those two, they were probably lost on the other side of Neverland again. If Wendy thought Peter would go looking for them this time, she was mistaken!

"Just a stubborn as always, I see..."
There it was. Her attacking words had already begun to fly at him and they hadn't been standing near each other for more than five minutes! How was she to know who he was or what he was like now? Wendy was obviously just as enraged and, even more, upset with the harsh things Peter was saying. Neverland was no longer a place for her and she gave it up years ago. This was no place for her to be. No where near him. With a wave of his hand, Peter signaled for the Lost Boys to travel back to the tree house. This was none of their concern and no place for them to be. He would discuss matters with them later. "I'm sorry, Wendy. That things have to be this way."

Without another word, Peter quickly grabbed Tiger Lily by the arm and pulled her deep into the forest. He walked until he could walk no further - until he knew she was far behind him. Once he knew everyone else was far away, Peter stopped walking and placed his hands on his head. What was he going to do about this? Why did she have to torture him in this way? As Tiger Lily stood against a nearby tree, Peter stood in front of her and leaned in close to her ear. "We have to get rid of her. She can't be here." Not only was he going to have to get rid of Wendy, he would have to get rid of Tink as well. Along with Michael and John. Peter began to think that this wouldn't be as easy as he imagined it. The seas had become restless with angry mermaids and the remaining pirates were tired of serving under, yet another, selfish captain.
