Adalyn looked around her as the the crowd started to get bigger around the gate. She caught the look of a young man and smiled. He seemed shy by his demeanor, but friendly none the less. More and more people were coming in the short time span after she had arrived. The prospect of meeting all these new people excited, and terrified her. She was jolted out of her thoughts when someone face planted out of a nearby tree. She almost burst into laughter, but she caught herself, and just let a few giggles escape. "Haha, are you alright?" She watched as a young man with light hair and a girl came up to help him up. "You might want to work on your landing there buddy," she offered with a smile.

Her focus shifted to the woman who was speaking to them all, introducing herself as their mission administrator. As she listened, she rubbed her locket again, weary of the test she had just mentioned. Would she be able to pass? What would the test be like? Questions bounced around in her head, and she even grew curious as to what the incident was. As the administrator outlined what they would be doing, Adalyn felt the gravity of what she was a part of. She couldn't help but feel a little excited by it though.

Kaze smiled widely as he saw someone walked by him, and after she said her name, he immediately responded: “Hello there~, my name is Kaze, and I just arrived in town,” he looked at her with his big smile. “Say, you’re an angel right? I know you are! It is pretty obvious. Daddy says that most angels don’t like people like me, because of stuff that I can’t understand…” he stopped for a moment and tilted his head. “…or did I forget that too…?” he shook his head and smiled. “Any ways, I hope you don’t dislike me. You don’t, right? Right?” He forgot how much obnoxious he could be, but it wasn’t his worst. He could have gone hours, but due to his defective brain, he couldn’t remember much about his life.

He was about to talk again until the mission administrator spoke. He was all up in his eagerness once more as she told about the mission, bouncing in place just a bit, listening carefully and make sure that he remembered this time in his head. He couldn’t wait until the beginning of the mission, and it was a teamwork one. He was excited at first, but then he wondered if he wouldn’t be left out. He tried to calm himself down to fit most of the personalities around him, but apparently, he couldn’t calm the child inside of him. He then wondered if the abandoned city was his. It was rather empty after all. He shook his head; it was a village, not a city. Those two are rather different. He only smiled up at the others and extended his wings a bit, making sure he doesn’t bump into anyone with them.

“Um…” he started to talk again, rather clueless. “Does anyone know where is that abandoned city? I didn’t quite get around, so I would like a little of assistance.” He didn’t care how much of a child he was; Kaze looks and acts like a child any ways. Even though he could act like his age, there was something in him that didn’t let him be serious…. for most of the time. The demon kept a smile towards everyone, happy to begin this mission with people that he didn’t know about, and hope that he’ll know more in the future.

As the administrator spoke Alyssa looked at her knee. If she couldn't even manage to get to school without getting injured then what hope did she have of catching someone? Maybe it was something that the teachers used to gage how powerful and willing each student was. She decided that she was going to do her very best and make sure she wouldn't be seen as the little weakling. Every device at her disposal she was going to use, even her wings, even though she didn't like to fly.

Alyssa looked around for someone, another angel, hopefully, that she could work with. Everyone seemed to give off a powerful aura that they were supposed to be there, and they were important. They were all so confident she felt very, very alone. This is how it started last time, she though, but at my old school at least I knew I was special. Here, I'm not.

Suddenly she realized that her size may not be a problem. Maybe she could use it to find the person without them finding her. After all, who would suspect a little girl flying in the air as a legitimate threat. With that in mind, Alyssa was much more confident. She even smiled at the administrator.

(A bit confused as to why this isn't under the gate...)

"I can't hate someone I don't know. I personally don't care what you are," Alyssa said quietly to Kaze. "If we fly up and circle around a bit we can probably find it. Do we go now?"

Alyssa wondered what else they had to do. She was quite confused about how they were supposed to find someone that she had never even seen before. And, above that, she was not a good flier. She hadn't flown for about a week. Kaze seemed nice enough to wait for her, even though her mother and father had always warned her that demons were lying and cheating no matter what. Alyssa did not agree, she rather like Kaze and she thought it was time that the good little angel rebelled a little bit. Somehow, this seemed extremely exhilarating.

"C-Capture someone?" Sakamoto muttered quietly to himself. He had never thought that he would have to do something that... That... Possibly violent. True, he felt a little excited, but his shyness was really messing with him. He glanced around at the other students, and saw what they were feeling. Most were excited, as well as a little worried, but one, small person who appeared to be another angel and was surprisingly small, looking twelve or thirteen, was looking around, much more worried than the others. Their eyes met for a second, and Sakamoto quickly looked down. He was not having a good day, he was next to a bunch of other people, but they didn't seem to really want to go off and capture this person, which Sakamoto certainly wasn't about to do without some help. Help... And the only way to get it was to ask for it. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and concentrated as hard as he could for a few seconds. Peter Pan... Peter Pan... Peter Pan... He thought that he could build up his courage if he thought of someone who didn't have any fear hard enough that he became them a little. He felt a little better, and managed to save some of it when he opened his eyes. He took a deep breath, and took a few steps forward, approaching the small angel. "Uh, e-excuse me." He managed not to flinch when she looked at him. "I-I'm really not very good at these kinds of things and, I, uh, I think that I..." He took breath. "Could I stick next to you while we go do this mission?" He took a deep breath after he got it out. There was just to many people around, and the only reason he managed to even be able to speak was to block them from his sight as much as possible. He was about absolutely possitive that he botched everything up, and she would say no, leave me alone, creep! or something like that.

Lanyee sighed hearing she was going on a mission, "Fun. So it's a test to see how bad we want in? And who's powerful enough?" she asked herself sounding quite unenthused by the fact that she's going on a mission, "I'll have to stay in the back unless I wish to loose humanity... Again." she thought as she adjusted her scythe again. She was fine with the mission so early, gives her an ability to practice her technique with her new scythe, yet, if she decided to go into her reaper form, needless to say, she could loose herself and wipe out half the city. And she'd hate that, and let's say, there wouldn't be her at the academy any time soon. Yet she had to. Weather she liked to or not, and she wasn't happy about the mission, yet she heard another ask to stick with a little what she thought was an angel and she smiled lightly, she enjoyed being in teams, since she didn't function appropriately alone, since she was one of those people whom got anxious and may have panic attacks alone, and with her scythe on her back, she wasn't inconspicuous and has been stopped by police for it. So she instinctively turned to the Blue-Haired man, "You seem like a nice person, care to join with me? Using the buddy system to keep us protected?" she asked sounding somewhat flustered, since she barely knows the man, yet she just added a smile in hopes he'll join along with her.7

Alyssa almost laughed. Finally someone who was more nervous then her! This made her feel quite confident. This had to have been the first time in her life that she wasn't the most nervous. She smiled at him sweetly and pushed her long white hair out of her eyes, she sometimes really wished that she could cut it. "Sure, she said in a voice hardly above a whisper. If she spoke much more she was going to lose her voice. She really didn't like to speak and this school just seemed all about it. "I could fly around and look for the city, unless you know where it is." She added the last part very quickly, not wanting to offend the first person who had actually spoken to her since she had arrived. (In this thread, I don't really get why some things are in other threads.)

Sakamoto almost sat down. He pulled it off, just like mom said he could! "No, I don't know the area at all. I took a very long train ride to get here..." He said, sounding much more relieved than nervous. The change in emotional balance between him and the others was so large, he actually felt himself grow weaker as his relief grew larger than his nervousness, which was a good thing. "I think that we could probably just ask her where to go..." He said, pointing to Fiama. "Unless you want to fly up there to find it." He said quickly. He wasn't so sure if she said that just because she loved flying, but he wasn't going to offend her. Not the first girl he talked to in months that at least seemed his age. At least, he hoped she was his age...
"Maybe we should find someone else who looks like they can handle themselves? I mean, I don't think we can really fight. At least, I can't, and you don't look like you can fight. I mean, you probably can fight, you just look so small and... I'm sorry, I'm rambling." The more he talked to this person, the more he found stuff to say, and the more he didn't want to get her angry at him, which just kinda went in a loop, so he asked the question that should end the loop. "Can you fight?" He asked curiously.

Kaze nodded softly to her confirmation that he doesn’t care what he was. It was rather comforting that there were angels who didn’t care what the others think about the demons. He sighed softly; though that she remained good company, he didn’t know if she wanted him to be a part of the mission with her. Looking how the others act, it seems rather obvious that nobody thrust him for a mission. Was it because he was too young? He doesn’t know, but he couldn’t quite be sure about it any ways. Either he had to deal with group or not. He wished to not be alone, though.

He folded his wings to as he heard that they will be teleported. Knowing a bit of what his village looked like, he did not dare to appear anywhere with his wings unfolded. Maybe he could be stuck forever in a wall just because of those. The thoughts of that were rather random, but he only shook his head and smiled towards everyone. He had no question; find someone, capture him or her, take the person back, goal. It seems rather easy.

Although, he did not dare to say it in front of everyone; he knew that he wasn’t the strongest of them all, and he wasn’t certain if he was the weakest. Sure, there was one person that was smaller than him, but that doesn’t mean that she is weak. It is sole the effect of innocence that made people think like that. Either way, he thought it would be preferable that he stuck around with Alysse, since she was the only one that came up to him to talk, and it was rather unusual for what she looks like, and for what he is.

He walked up to her as she was talking with another one, making more introductions. He only smiled at them, hoping that she knows that he wanted to stick more around with them. He studied the other stranger, waiting for his name with eagerness. It was rather obvious that Kaze was the one to be always happy with people he didn’t know. Kaze rubbed his bracelets softly, making sure that they were still there. It would be so unfortunate if he found out that someone took them, but it was discreet that he checked them, just making sure. Besides, it was rather hard even for himself to undo them.

Adalyn noticed people starting to team up into groups, and the youngest of the group seemed to be sticking together. "Might as well stick with the others," she thought. Working alone was fine with her, but she wasn't even close to mastering her powers. Let's face it, being alone wasn't fun either. She turned to the small ensemble near the tree, the light blue haired young man, the girl with a large scythe on her back, and the one who had fallen out of the tree. The large scythe intimidated her a bit, but she decided to approach them anyway. "Do you mind if I stick with you guys? I don't really know anyone, and being in groups seems like a good option..." Her fingers continued to fiddle with her locket as she anticipated their answer.

Icess stayed away from the group, still in the trees. Since so many had grouped up, she was just about ready to leave. She thought that she would be able to work alone. Gathering the small sack she had of the only other outfit she had, Icess started to go to leave the campus, an annoyed look on her face.

"How bothersome." She quietly said as she passed by the group, heading to leave. I guess like everything else she has come across.

Lanyee looked at the one whom spoke with a kind smile, "I wouldn't mind if you joined me. I was asking one of these two to join with, since it'd be more safe to have devisions of two to three." she said smiling as she noticed her toying with a locket and nodded as she thought, "Oh fun... Now an angel is asking my assistance... Of corse..." she thought as she finally realized she was teleported to the city and nodded, "Well. It seems our mission is beginning..." she said in a calm tone as she then looked at the Angel, "You fly correct?" she asked in a sweet tone before walking down a street, "or do you prefer walking?" she asked smiling.

She's scared of heights? Sakamoto thought. That must really suck, because that defeats the purpose of having wings. "I'm Sakamoto. That's a helpful power." Sakamoto looked around, taking others emotions into account. He suppressed a flinched. He somehow managed to forget about everyone else a little. He felt himself get a little stronger when he felt nervous again. "I can get stronger depending on what everyone else feels. If people are nervous, and I'm nervous, I get stronger. I can also change other people's current emotion, but that might change mine." He bit his lip a little. "But I can't fight, I really can't." It is fairly obvious that he doubts his ability to help in any way.

He sighed softly. It seems that they were more going to be together. He only smiled more, walking around, making sure everything is alright. Well, more he just walk around the gates. His wings twitched a bit as he saw people disappearing. He tilted his head, wondering what is going on when they were disappearing one by one, then gasped as he was teleported. He looked around, rather nervous of his new environment.

He walked along with the others, looking around with a big smile. Though he remained silent, he just studied the environment. After a while, he took some distance from the others and he unfolded his wings, flapping them. It was nice to feel his wings unfolded like that. It was rather nice too that he had the area to do so, and not be worried to knock something down. He flapped them for a bit, getting the use of them again. He wonderred where the guy was, and if he could explore the sky for a moment. He thought it would be better to know the place before going to find the guy.

“I’ll be up in the air if you need me.” He said out loud as he flapped his wings, creating a gut of wind as he flew up into the sky, flying in circle. He looked for anything suspicious while keeping an eye on the group. He couldn’t afford to lose them. He didn’t know if he could defend himself with the dagger that he had. He did not noticed the person on the rooftop, though he swear to have seen something.

Adalyn smiled as she saw a member of the group take to the skies. Her own wings were sore from being folded for too long. She unfurled her snow white wings, keeping them curved slightly around her so she wouldn't smack someone accidentally. It wasn't much fun to be hit in the face by a wall of feathers. She ruffled her wings lightly as she looked around some more. For a moment, she felt something hot next to her, and turned to see the young man from the tree turn into a dragon. "We'll aren't you excited?" She said with a grin. Seeing his enthusiasm got her a little pumped up too.

Involuntarily, her pale feathers bristled at some unseen danger. They always did this when something didn't feel right. Adalyn's eyes darted around the buildings before coming to rest on the ground. She got the sudden sense that they were being watched, she could feel someone's eyes scrutinizing them. Didn't anyone else feel that? "Maybe I'm just being paranoid-- No. This is a mission, I have to trust my instincts,"she thought. "Do any of you feel like something's... off?" She asked the others uncertainly, her eyes still searching.

Alyssa felt awkward while everyone else that had wings was taking to the sky. "I should go," she muttered without waiting for an answer. She didn't want to be that weird angel that didn't fly. She really didn't want to be that kid. It was the worse feeling ever and for once in her life she wasn't and Alyssa didn't want to do anything to mess that up.

She outstretched her wings carefully, feeling for the wind currents. Without a current she felt very unsteady and when she chose to take to the sky, she wanted to make sure that she was as secure as could be, or she would fall. With her wings outstretched and the current found she took a running start, tripped, but still managed to make it up anyway. She kind of felt bad leaving Sakamoto behind, but it was the best way to search for the unknown predator.

Alyssa arrived just in time to hear another angel's words about something being off. She cocked her head slightly and closed her eyes, using her telekinesis to sense for anything around her that was off. She felt a presence to her right but the odds were that it was just another student. They definitely weren't organized and Alyssa was not stepping up. "To the right, it could just be another student though," she said while attempting to hover but only succeeding flying around in small circles and becoming very nauseous from the height. She just had to prove she was powerful.

Amused and excited

Lanyee smiled as she noticed the Angels began to fly. Soon her float ability kicked in and she reached their altitude, "It's nice to meet you Adalyn. I'm Lanyee." she said smiling as she saw the towers and how lifeless the city was, "The city seems... Almost Lifeless... And so many souls seem to have been lost here... What's going on?" she thought as she looked around slowly panning the distance, and eventually yawning, she was never a morning person, and a mission at 7:45 in the morning was hard for her. Yet she kept looking around, at the least, until she saw a living being, about 50 or so meters from her and the others position, she felt danger in his direction, she wasn't scared by this. She was exhilarated by it. Lanyee smiled before she looked at her partner, "Excuse me Adalyn, I'm going to investigate the only living being here other than us. Care to join me?" she asked before floating off towards the being in curiosity.

Aventine watched as a few students took to the sky, one of them mentioned something feeling off and she defiantly heard. Normally she wouldn't even talk to an angel but she was in a mission and it held all priority. She let her senses roam and also felt like she was being watched. She scanned the buildings but didn't see anything.
"I feel it too, something is defiantly wrong. Do you guys see anything?" She raises her voice, though an angel should be able to hear. She listens to everything and almost let out her demon form, she was still working on that. 'ugh, if they saw what I really looked like. . . She thought silently. No one is taking charge still, and Aventine still didn't want to take over. 'After all, who would trust a demon?' She thought sadly as she prepared herself in case the group is be attacked.

Sakamoto Yoshitoki
Sakamoto fell to his knees. That was teleporting? He tried his best not to puke, only barely succeeding. "Oh, I don't like teleporting." He said to himself. He looked up to listen to his partner. "That's not exactly how my power works..." He said, but was too quiet, so wasn't heard. His partner suddenly running and taking off. Weren't they supposed to stick together? He looked around, pin pointing the others through his emotion sight. He then saw some malicious and hatred somewhere to his right, and he turned to it. It was kinda hard to see, as it was a silhouette at this distance, but it was definitely there. Fear gripped Sakamoto, as he realized that he was the closest. Yes, there was another student flying toward the thing, but she was still not as close as the thing. He turned and started rushing over to the others, hiding behind the first one he found, which appeared to be the angry guy, and pointed at the thing. "O-over there, something has malicious intent..." He used words for emotions that most people didn't know they really used. Malicious intent, for Sakamoto, generally meant someone who wants to be violent, but not because of hate, and not ferociously. Just wanted to hurt people... "I-I think that's what we need to catch." He ducked behind the guy again, too scared to notice anyone's reaction to him.
