Personality:
Araceli’s personality hasn’t changed much in the nearly 500 years she’s been on this earth. She’s always had a take no prisoners approach to life, something that came in handy seeing as how she started out her life as a gypsy. Li has always been bold and daring, doing whatever she had to. Araceli has always been a hard worker, in the kind of world she grew up in everyone pulled their weight and she was no exception.

Of course it’s not all about work, Araceli was always the first one to suggest a drink and a dance. Blowing off steam is one of her specialties and she’s more than happy to share that with others. A bit on the vain side, Araceli is quite fascinated with her appearance and finds them a bit lacking. For her, Aphrodite is the epitome of beauty and Araceli just doesn’t quite measure up although she will pretend otherwise for her own pride’s sake.

Due to her slightly low self-esteem Araceli also has the habit of throwing herself at various people, she thoroughly enjoys flirtations, especially ones that end with sex and isn’t particularly picky about who she takes to bed although she doesn’t tend to form lasting relationships. There’s also the matter of her slight anger problem, Araceli always comes off as a bit defensive and bitchy, usually to compensate for not being as strong or powerful as some of the other members of her coven.

She has a wicked sense of humour and loves games of all sorts especially ones with a sadistic bent to them. Araceli is usually seen as inappropriate and treated like a coddled child, a spoiled, vain baby which she takes for granted. Her extreme sense of jealousy comes in to play when she feels that anyone is favored over her and makes it her mission to take them down a peg or two.

History:
Araceli was born in the basque region of Spain a Kalderash Romani, or what is commonly known as a gypsy. Her large and extended family traveled the countryside in search of work and food. It was a life that was full of hard work and suspicion, but it also had its good points as well. They were a jovial bunch, always laughing and joking with the constant presence of music and dancing.

Araceli was always satisfied with her lot in life, she was the daughter of a fairly large family and the youngest to boot. She was generally spoiled and treated like a little lamb, the only downfall being that she'd have to marry someone her family chose when she was sixteen. Finding that the prospect of settling for a hard life where she'd spend the best years of her life pregnant every other year slightly revolting, Araceli soon took leave from her family and traveled back to the city of Santurtzi. Here she supported herself the only way she knew how, by stealing and offering her wares for generous prices, which is a nice way of saying she was a pickpocketing whore.

It was when she was nearly 21 that she first met Aphrodite, she was immediately drawn to the mysterious woman. She was beautiful and mysterious and she seemed amused by Araceli and her blunt, sarcastic way of speaking and her propensity to break into song and dance. After the two parted she didn't spare a second thought for Aphrodite, assuming that she'd never see the woman again. Of course she was quite wrong. Soon Araceli found herself in a situation that would test the sanity of any mortal, she faced her own death and was reborn vampire.

Aphrodite taught Araceli all she needed to know, how to hunt, to kill and to get what she wanted and she's been by the side of her maker ever since. Araceli even goes so far as to recruit new members much as she did with *Matt* after a tryst the two shared one evening years and years ago. Although many people, blood pets, slaves and other vampires have come and gone throughout Araceli's long life she is still loyal to Aphrodite above all others and will always be.
