So begins...
Kiminith's Story
Fen grinned and rushed toward the hound. One sure way of stopping a slaughter is stopping the thing that's doing the slaughtering. "Here poochie poochie." He murmured as he made his way over to the dog. "Come to Fen. I'll keep you safe and happy. In turn you can help us fix this town." He added as he slowed down to move closer to the growling feral beast. "Let me be your new master. I'll help you get home when we're done, I promise." He lowered himself to the dog's eye level. "You're just a lost dog without a home, let me help you." The hound growled ferociously and the feline part of Fen puffed as he reached out to touch the black beast. "That's a good boy." He murmured as he placed his hand on top of the hound's head. "Kim." He whispered loudly. "Kim come here!"
Kim made his way over cautiously, watching the hound closely. It seemed to warm up to Fen pretty fast, but it growled loudly at him. "Step one... befriend the beast?", he questioned as he looked at Fen. The hound made him a bit uneasy, but he tried not to let it bother him. He knew it wouldn't warm up to him... a bringer of death could only have one master. "Now about that man...", he continued as he looked towards the town square, the smell of smoke beginning to fill his nose. It seemed the townsfolk had started a fire... and he could only imagine what they intended to do with it.
"And just... what are you two up to?", a sickeningly sweet voice called from behind them. Kim spun around quickly as the hound began the snarl. The mysterious man stood behind them, dressed to the nines and looking very fancy overall. "Aren't you going to participate in the ceremony?", he added on, showing off several sharply pointed teeth as he grinned.

Fen bit back a growl as he stood up, his new 'friend' standing next to him, snarling. "I'd rather not be a part of your sick barbecue thank you very much." He spat. "What kind of demon are you anyway? And if you're here, the hell are the towns people doing in the square? Cooking themselves for you to feast or are you setting up for a nice family reunion?" He questioned this 'man', moving next to Kim, the hound sticking close by his side.
The demon smirked and eyed Fen closely. "Clever one, you are.", he stated before turning his attention to the hound. "Kenner's little pooch...", he mused, grinning yet again. "It couldn't protect him though... what makes you think it will protect you? Particularly when my father arrives." He chuckled a bit as he looked towards the town square, his eyes lighting up as watched several people line up and walk themselves into the fire. The smell of burning flesh filled the air quickly after that.
Kim growled a bit as he watched the demon. "Your father?", he asked asked angrily. "Another demon? We will not let you...", he warned.
The demon simply smirked and eyed the two of them. "And just what are you going to do about it?", he asked.

Fen covered his nose and nearly gagged. "Demons are sick creatures that only know how to prey on humans because they were once humans themselves. Isn't that right?" He spoke through his sleeve, placing his hand on the top of the hound's head. "You can't kill a demon, but you can send it home or change its mind." He paused and looked at the demon. "Just what do you think your dear daddy's going to do when he gets here? Rule the world? The world isn't that weak anymore. Things evolve, they change, things are different now. People aren't just going to let demons run everything. I definitely won't anyway." He explained. "What's your father going to do to you when he rises? Send you home? Did he say you would rule with him? Because last time I heard demons weren't so keen on sharing." He added.
The demon remained silent for a moment and simply glared at Fen, considering what the wolf had said. It was true, his father had said nothing of a reward for him. "Clever.. clever.", he stated at last, his smirk returning. "Trying to convince me that my father will turn on me once I free him?", he asked, using words that Fen himself hadn't even mention. "Do you think I am but a pet like that curr of your's!?", he spat, angry at the implications Fen had brought about. "A pet to be put down once it's task is finished?!" He snarled and took a step towards Fen. "How dare you."
Kim growled back and stepped in front of Fen, not wanting the demon to get close to his companion. He didn't speak, but he could tell that Fen's words had rattled the demon. So was this how you brought down a demon then? Introduced doubt? Kim smirked at the though, pleased when that set the demon off even more.

"That's it though isn't it? You think he won't dispose of you when you're done with his bidding? How long have you been a demon?" Fen asked, moving out from behind Kim. "Come now, did daddy promise you a place next to him? You know that's not going to happen." He stated petting the hound on the head. "With every dead human your father comes closer to release and you come closer to your own death. Can you feel it yet? The darkness that's looming over this village? The death and blood that this ground is stained in?" Fen's fur puffed up a bit as he growled loudly.
The demon growled angrily before looking back at the town square. He did feel it, the darkness that loomed over the village and he could hear his father calling out to him, demanding more. He was always demanding more... The villagers continued to feed themselves to the fire, and with each one that burned he could feel himself getting weaker. He almost felt helpless now.
Kim watched the demon for a moment before looking back at the villagers. "Fen, we need to stop them.", he murmured urgently as the hound started to whimper beside him. It was getting close, Kim could feel it, the hound felt, and the demon sure as hell felt it.

Fen nodded and looked at the town square. "Put out the fire Kim, I'll get the villagers." He stated, slipping off his jacket and hung it on a random piece of wood. "And you there, demon. You're welcome to help save your own ass if you like. You know more about this than we do." He said before changing suddenly into his beastly form and taking off towards the square, hell hound running right beside him. He circled the fire a few times, watching the people before cutting a few of them off. "Get away from the fire!" He snarled, making his fur stand on end to make himself look far larger than he really was.
The demon hesitated for a moment, doubtful of what he should do, before suddenly disappearing. He reappeared next to Fen a few moments later. "Wait..", he said simply. "They are under my control.", he added, waveing his hand slightly and causing most of the villagers to stop dead in their tracks. A few others continued their way towards the fires, but stopped when the hound jumped in front of them, snarling and snapping. Fear seemed to break them out of their trance and they ran off quickly, hiding in their homes.

He frowned and looked around, not seeing anything to help him other than a few buckets by the well. He could always change into his beast form and try to blow it out... but that seemed like a bad idea the more he thought about it. Gusts from his wings would probably only spread the fire. So... without an option to distinguish the fire, he did the next best thing. He ran forward into the flames, rescuing those villagers that were still alive and hadn't been badly burnt yet. The flames didn't bother him, though they did lick at clothes.

With the villagers stopped Fen turned his attention to the large fire behind him and got both a smart and ridiculously wolf idea and started digging, throwing dirt upon the fire as fast as he could. The hound saw this and began helping though Fen, well he felt rather silly doing this. "Well demon, don't just stand there. Help us put these out." He snapped, growling a bit as he continued to kick his feet and throw dirt on the fire, which really didn't seem like it was helping at all really.
The demon smiled and watched for a moment, unable to keep himself from chuckling. "But you seem to be doing rather fine on your own.", he mused, his sense of humor returning now that his father had quieted down. He laughed a bit more before raising his arms a bit and lowering them slowly, calming the fire as he did. It was hardly a flicker as he dropped his arms back to his sides. "See, you did splendidly.", he stated with a grin as he walked over to observe the charred bodies of some of the less than fortunate villagers.
As the fires waned, Kim did his best to help the injured villagers, though he couldn't exactly touch them. The fire had heated up his skin so much, he was sure he would only burn them if he touched them. He felt quite useless at the moment and retreated after awhile, leaving the ones he had helped to their pain as he returned to Fen's side.

Fen frowned a bit and kicked dirt at the demon before shifting back and brushing off his clothes. "So tell me demon, what are you going to do now that you know your father was using you?" He asked, petting the hound as it made its way back over to him. HE was glad Kim was back by him too, made him feel safer, though the dragon was rather warm and he had to step away a bit just to keep from catching fire himself...
Kim rubbed at his arms slightly, brushing off stray embers that clung to his skin. Hopefully he would cool off soon.. His clothes hadn't suffered too much, thankfully, just a singes here and there.

Fen raised an eyebrow. "Well then what are you waiting for? Go. Shoo. Run away and keep everyone safe." He stated, shooing the demon a bit as he made his way to get his jacket. "There are a few loose ends that need to be cleared up before we go. Who knows, maybe we'll meet again?" He asked, looking back at the demon. "At least let's hope next time you're not trying to kill people for kicks." He walked over to where he hung his jacket and pulled it on, shrugging it in place before turning his attention to the hell hound that still followed him. "It's time for you to go home now, okay?" He said, petting it behind one of its ears. "You be a good boy now. I'll call you if I need you." He added quietly enough for no one to hear.
The demon smirked and went over to Fen, moving in close to him. "I would very much enjoy meeting you again, little wolf.", he replied, leaning down into the wolfcat's personal space. He leaned in, grinning even more before kissing Fen deeply on the mouth. He stayed that way for a few moments before disappearing suddenly, hardly giving Fen a chance to react.
Kim blinked in surprise as he saw what the demon did before growling loudly and moving closer to Fen. He missed the demon though, which only made him angrier. "Filthy demon..", he spat jealously as he looked around for him. He was long gone though, unfortunately.

Fen looked back at Kim once the hound disappeared into nothing and smiled. "Well, our work here is just about done. Any where you want to go after this?" He questioned walking over to the dragon. "After we find Jakol we'll be free to go, right? Maybe we can get the rest of the village to move from this place?" He said as he nudged Kim lightly. "Cheer up, we saved people. And look at you, all singed up." He could've sworn that the dragon had a hint of jealousy to him, but he certainly didn't want to say anything.
Kim grumbled and nodded after a moment as he followed after Fen. "If we can find Jakol...", he stated, looking around as the villagers started to come back to themselves. Many of them were horrified to see the charred remains of their neighbors laying in the town square. Unfortunately Kim noticed, it looked like Jakol may have been among the bodies. "...would you call this a success...?", the dragon murmured as he walked over to the body and knelt beside it. "Many of died today..."
"Well, though people died we saved even more by stopping a big bad demon from being released so yes, I'd say this is a success." Fen explained as he looked at the dragon. "Sometimes people have to die to get the best result... it may not be the way you want it, but sometimes... you just have to let things run their coarse." He added as he turned away from Kim and started off to the gate. "Seriously though... let's get out of here. This place still makes me uncomfortable."
Kim nodded a bit and got up, following after Fen unhurried. They always did this... left after they finished and let the other people involved clean up and rebuilt. It was a bit unfair, but he supposed it was the best way to do things. He couldn't get the thought of the demon out of his head though. How dare that monster do such a thing to his Fen?! His skin heated up as he thought about it. "Where are we off too next...?", he asked as he and Fen cleared the gates. He was trying to get his mind off the demon and he supposed the best way to do that would be conversation. "Are there any other leads you may have heard of...?", he asked, somewhat curiously.
