Accurate, calm, witty. He thinks he's OCD, but not quite.
Mason is generally pretty easy-going,and tends to make friends fairly quickly. His trust in these friends is almost reckless: he takes them at their word. Period. He has a knack for saying something out of place, which will either help or hurt a situation. Mason thinks before most of his actions, but it doesn't always show on the outside. He'd much rather try to run on that thin patch of ice than take a walk to get ice cream. He can be easily distracted from time to time, and his thoughts run from idea to idea quickly, though he is focused when he wants to be.
His attitude towards life can be summarized by his own statement, "Why just live life when you can enjoy it? There's plenty around here to have fun with, so let's start thinkin' about something we can do with this giant pile of branches, those rocks, and that...is that a dead dog? ...WAIT! We can make a fire! Dance around it and whatnot! Make smores! You have stuff for smores, right!?"
Mason is yet another new kid on East Avenue. It seems like the neighborhood was getting a whole bunch of new people moving in. He considers himself 'certified insane'. And yes, he does know the word is 'certifiably'.
He is 18 years old, and likes making 'cupcakes.' Cupcakes was the term he and an old friend coined for anything dealing with reckless fire. (Including the use of gunpowder, gasoline, model rocket engines, etc."
