Waldo stopped for a minute, sensing something different about the neighborhood. He froze and looked around, surveying the area. He couldn't put his nose on it, he just knew something was there that wasn't there before. "People?" He curiously said to himself as he trotted over to the house with the damaged mailbox.

"PEOPLEEEE~"
Just at that very moment, Waldo came bounding out of nowhere and tackled Gordon to the ground. He resumed himself on the ground for a little bit, then grunted and hoisted himself up to his feet. He brushed himself off, then tied the towel around Waldo's waist.
"Cover your shame, eh guy?" he said with narrow eyes. Waldo stood there grinning stupidly at the new neighbor. Gordon looked back over at Mason. "My condolences for my friend here, his cogwheels don't function quite right. I'm Gordon, welcome to the neighborhood." He smiled a friendly smile, holding out his hand for Mason to shake.

She set the cake inside her freezer so it would cool down faster and make icing it a lot easier. About a half hour later, she pulled it out, getting the cake out of its base and onto a cardboard platform, then set the platform onto an elevated surface. As she worked her magic, the final product was a beautifully decorated black forest cake, delicious chocolate flakes coated the outside of it with whip cream dollops in sequences on top, each with a single cherry gently placed into the dollop.
"Perfect~!" she sang as she hung up her apron, taking the cake off of the elevated base and into a proper cake container, then out the door she went.
G, H, I, J, K, L... she thought to herself as she walked down the street, looking at each house as she passed, and the ebony letter that hung from each door. Up ahead, she saw Gordy and Waldo, and an unfamiliar face. "Hey!" she called out, holding the cake out in front of her a little bit as she picked up her pace with her flats subtly making a pit pat noise as she walked.

Waldo caught the scent of the cake, licking his lips and swallowing hard. He refrained himself from any movement. He wanted it, and Gordon could see it. He placed his hand on the back of Waldo's neck and gave a warning squeeze, narrowing his eyes at him before looking back to Mason with a friendly grin.
