Description

Kailea Violet Nagahara

Image

NAME:
Kailea Nagahara

AGE:
16

GENDER:
Female

SEXUAL ORIENTATION:
Straight

LOCAL OR ORPHAN:
Local

ROOMMATE:
TBA

RELATIONSHIPS:
Kailea has had her hand in relationships before. She isn't bitter about them, but she also isn't the type to jump right into them either. She has had only one boyfriend in the past under the close scrutiny of her older brother Dustin and their protective father. Kailea broke up with him last summer, but he didn't fight for the relationship. She wavered on love a bit, but the constant presence of her parents' commitment to each other make her a firm believer that love isn't a lost cause. Her brother's relationships make her upset and question men.

APPEARANCE:
Kailea stands at 5'5" with smooth tanned skin and a in-between body. She isn't too skinny nor is she chunky, but she does manage a type of hourglass figure. She weights around 120lbs, but rarely checks her weight. She is very secure in her body and doesn't pay much attention to her figure. Her hair and facial appearance is what she usually cares for the most. Kailea tries to always smile and not put too much make up on. She has shoulder length straight brown hair with lighter highlights. She also has side bangs with hair that is swept and parted mostly on the left side of her head. She has bright medium shaded brown eyes and medium length lashes. She likes to wear light colors with an airy feeling. She hates tight clothes or anything that shows off too much skin.

PERSONALITY
Kailea is always trying her best to finish the things she starts. She has a policy of never doing something half the way, but seeing the entire thing through. Sometimes she can't help but waver from her policy. She is quite on the lazy side and has a short attention span. She is also playful and outgoing, always up and about ready to take on whatever the island has in the means of exploration. Kailea is what one would call a rather fearless soul. She isn't afraid of heights, maybe drowning though, but anything else she will do. Her will to never fear water has cast her towards this desired strength. She likes to think of herself as an exciting person since she is always up for a mischievous challenge or energetic conversation. She isn't judgemental about others believing people don't act with malice in their intentions just because it is their nature, but because of a bad situation. Then again she has a bossy side to her. One would guess she is a bright thinker, but she feels the negative side's weight more than the positive though she would never think to say so. Easily hurt, Kailea can break down within seconds when alone. Usually trying to seem strong, she won't cry in front of others, but most of the time her tears are stronger than her will to appear so.

She isn't a responsible person. Much of the opposite in fact, she forgets everything. Kailea is very stubborn and doesn't like to admit her flaws. She tries to be independent, never failing to express how dependent she should be to stay alive. She does have a child's mind inside her so she is on the pure and innocent side to hate or the outside bounding of love or relationships. Sometimes this will make her seem ignorant, but she can't help what she doesn't know. Even with this, she has experienced pain in her life. She is very sensitive on the topics of death, drowning, or her family. If anyone touches this topic, she can lash out angrily and turn into an emotional wreck. Many of people have never seen her cry or upset, so overall she's a happy girl who just goes with the flow of life. She doesn't try to fight the obstacles that come her way be they bad or good. Kailea unknowingly just takes it all and makes the best of it. She hates to complain, knowing that complaining doesn't do much. Once you complain, she believes you are to be responsible for the change in whatever you are whining about. With her lazy nature, she wouldn't put herself to do more work then she already has to. She hates work or anything that isn't fun. This can drive her parents and her brother crazy.

BACKGROUND
Kailea was born on the first day of December seventeen years ago. Her brother was already three when she was born. She was always a happy child. One year later, Kailea had a younger sister named Amana. They had become a family of five. Her father worked down by the beach with tourism and surfing. His job was arranging entertainments and managing the staff for the tourists. He wasn't the boss, but you best treated him like one. Kailea's mother was the cook at a local restaurant. They made a good living, but nothing to lavish for the children. When Kailea was four, her father got into a motorcycle accident that cost him control of his lower body. He was paralyzed from the waist down, confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life. Kailea had a very difficult time comprehending what had happened to her father. She was always angry about it, until she realized it hurt him. She stopped, but only later learned why.

A year after her father's accident, another tragedy struck the family. This time it would cost them a life. Living on an island, the children were accustomed to water, but Kailea and Amana didn't know how to swim and keep above water yet because they were still young. They pair were always getting into trouble because they didn't understand danger. Their mother had gone to the market to pick up some groceries and dragged Dustin with her leaving her husband and the two daughters alone in the house. Their father fell asleep on his wheelchair. He had gone back to work and was excessively tired from a new attraction the company was testing out. He had been given the responsibility of keeping it in check and it was keeping him up all night from stress. Kailea, a troublesome soul from the start, unlocked the back door that lead to a dock on their backyard. They lived on a different island during that time. She had been tired to everyone telling her that she was too young to be swimming. Five years old, she was completely positive she could go in by herself. Her sister, following Kailea's lead, trusted in it too. Amana was a small child. Though she was four she was quite skinny and small compared to the thicker built Kailea at their age. Their small adventure turned sour quickly when they both witnessed a crab in the water. The two instantly dived for it. Amana drowned in the dock while Kailea had managed to hold on to something that kept her alive. Her screaming alerted one of the neighbors and she was soon rescued. Their father beat himself over and over because of it. They had a difficult family struggle after that. The government threatened to take the children away for bad parenting. After years of struggle, the family moved to the island over where the wealthy enjoyed their summer time along with the working locals.

They have been living on the summer island since Kailea was ten so six years now. She has never ventured anywhere away from the two islands: the one of her birth and the other of her current residence. She doesn't remember everything from the day her sister drowned, but she does remember screaming at the top of her lungs in fear. She blames herself for the accident, but she has never said a word about it.

FEARS & DREAMS
Kailea is afraid she's going to die and no one is going to remember her. She's scared she's not going to amount to anything in life and that she'll become a failure. She's also scared of death and blood. She can't look at blood for her life. She hates darkness and the emotional state of panic. She's also scared to drown. But she isn't afraid to swim. She has always tried to get over drowning though the thought never leaves her mind every second she stays in the water. Kailea dreams to become a wife and a mother, though a career has never really crossed her mind. She wanted to become a dancer or maybe an actress, though most of them seem like a star's length away from her. She wants to travel to the main land and study to become an actress, but where would the money come from? She knows she has no way of leaving the island so she shut her mouth and has left herself to become staff for the slowing tourism.

Kailea Nagahara | Local | Benefactor's Island | Day 1

Kailea waited at the dock with a small band of people. It was nearing three o'clock and she still hadn't seen the plane arrive on the other island. She looked towards the oldest boy out of the group. He was just over twenty. "Hey, could you take care of the newcomers? If I don't get back just do what my mama said." The man nodded and she silently walked up the boat docking area towards the beach front. Today she wore an orange tank top and white shorts. Of course, she was at the beach so she was barefoot. She ran towards her small house and yelled as she opened the door. "Dustin! Where are you?" She said, no answer. Her brother would be late for when the orphans from Connecticut would arrive. It was close to three already and they were supposed to help them get settled into their beach houses.

She quickly texted her brother and Kai, her other friend, to hurry up and get to the dock. Her father would be upset if any of them missed it. He hadn't told them much of what was supposed to happen except only the necessary details. She slammed their back door and ran back to the beach. She could see the airplane swoop in and land in the other island. The orphans would soon unload and take a short boat ride to their island. Then she would help assign them to their summer rooms, show them the agenda. Then later at six she would led them to the secret men's villa. No one had told her who he was or why he was giving these orphans so much money and a Hawaiian vacation. It was just that she had to do it.

She rejoined the small group of people, checking her phone every ten seconds for a reply from either her brother or Kai. Soon her parents joined them to welcome the newcomers.

Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Benefactor's Island | Day 1

Summer was finally here. This meant two things for Dustin: one, high school was finally over, and, two, another summer working at the beach. It would actually be Dustin's last summer working as a lifeguard there, because he was leaving the island this year for college. He wasn't exactly looking forward to leaving, and would much rather prefer to stay behind for an extra year or so, but his father was forcing him to. Sitting up on his bed, his thoughts were broken when he heard his little sister, Kailea, shouting around the house. He'd only woken up half an hour ago, and didn't feel like moving around just yet. Plus, it was only a fifteen minutes to three. Regardless of it all, he pushed himself off his bed and stalked out his room in pajamas. To his surprise, the house was near empty. Dustin suddenly had a feeling he was forgetting something important. He rubbed at his eyes, sighed, and followed Kailea's voice to ask. By then, however, she was gone.

What had his father said yesterday? Dustin was up late on his laptop last night, when his dad came inside to remind him about something. He had his earphones on loud when he came in, however, and only one of his ears were capable of hearing. Dustin moved around the house while thinking this, took a quick shower, and tossed on a "clean" pair of clothes. He stepped out of the small house when the event dawned on him: the orphans were coming today. His father had been preparing their visit since last month, and the event was on the lips of all the locals around the island. Glancing at the clock, Dustin saw it to already be passed three. The boat was supposed to arrive at 3:30 exactly. "Shit." He cursed under his breath, and slammed the house door closed behind him before running to the pier

Catching his breath when he finally reached the pier, Dustin scanned the crowd to look for his family. The boat had not arrived yet, but he overheard the announcer saying it was only 10 minutes away now. "Kailea!" He scanned the small group of people, which was mostly filled with locals around his age, but he didn't pay any attention to their faces. He was far more concerned that he'd get in trouble with his dad for being late.

Jessabelle Alcantara | Orphan | Plane | Day 1

Jessabelle stirred on an aisle seat of the plane, in the middle of being asleep and awake. They'd been on the plane a couple hours already, and her feet was sore from being cramped up for too long. She didn't know when she managed to fall asleep, but sat up quietly as she looked around the other passengers. Some were asleep, some awake, and others were listening to music or watching a movie. The whole plane was reserved for only the orphans, and Jessabelle caught eyes with a couple of them while looking around. She wasn't exactly sure how the others felt about being on the island, but she thought it to be really suspicious. She didn't trust whoever funded the money, and was hesitant to go from the start. After some urging by her friends, she eventually ending up tagging along. Still, she felt kind of weird. An announcement was suddenly made, announcing the landing of the plane. It was finally time, Jessabelle thought, and glanced out the window in hopes to see the small island. She couldn't see anything, however, from where she was sitting. Glancing at the girl sleeping next to her, Jessabelle recognized it to be one of the older kids at the orphanage. 'Jordan' she thought her name was.

Five minutes later, the plane started to change pace. It slowed down, and started to land on the runway. They were finally here. When the plane finally landed, almost all of them unbuckled their belts and reached for their luggage. An announcement was made to exit the plane orderly, and a middle aged woman guided them outside. Dragging her handbag and suitcase with her, Jessabelle followed behind the person in front of her.

The first thing she noticed was the heat. It was already about 3, and the weather was still hot. She was wearing a pair of shorts with slippers, and an oversized graphic tee, yet she was already starting to sweat. They quickly left outside, and headed inside the airport, where it was much cooler. She followed the group as they claimed all their luggage, and they started to board small ship. The ship was supposed to bring them to the island instead of the plane, because the island far too small. Within a half an hour, the island was in view. As they got closer, Jessabelle saw that a crowd of people were waiting for them there. She heard one of her friends make a remark about it, and she shook her head. She had a feeling it was going to be a long, long summer.

Kailea Nagahara | Local | Benefactor's Island | Day 1

Kailea stood behind her father on his wheelchair. He had gotten into an accident when she was younger and was confined to a wheelchair. He was paralyzed from the waist down. Kailea had gotten used to it, but she always felt sad about it. She couldn't think about it now as she heard her name being called from outside of the small group of people waiting for the arrival of the newcomers. Her father gave a tired expression and motioned for her to get her brother. She skipped around the group and grabbed her brother by the arm. She had to look up at him since he was taller then her. "They're almost here," she said and started to pull him towards where their family was. Their father looked up at Dustin and just smiled. Their mother, a woman just over Kailea's height, gave a sterner look. "Glad you could make it, Dustin. Kailea got here before you," she mentioned. Kailea was usually the last to get into things like this with time and effort. Her laziness a trademark drawn into her name. Yet she had come early to the meeting place. She was quite excited for the orphans to arrive. This meant new friends for the summer. The island wasn't visited much during the year and since it was a small island, not many regular tourists came. Usually the rich came and none of them provided new friends to spend time with.

Even the secret benefactor who had helped the island before was a mystery to her. She knew about his large villa and she also knew he was the reason for the orphans coming. Heck, she didn't even know if 'he' was a woman or a man. Her expression began to brighten once she saw the boat with the orphans come into view. "Look. Look," she said letting go of Dustin's arm and putting her hand above her eyes to avoid glare. "Boat's coming," she said.

Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Benefactor's Island | Day 1

Dustin was glad his father wasn't angry. Sighing in relief, he found Kailea over by the front of the pier. She grabbed him by the hand, and pulled her over by their parents. His father didn't say anything, and just gave him a sad sigh before looking out to sea. Dustin bit his lip, still feeling guilty, but ignored it as he spotted the boat finally coming to port. The crowd around them arosed in cheers as it came closer, and he saw the orphans looking around nervously. There was only about ten of them, probably less, and he felt a sigh of relief. He expected it to be - at least - twenty people. Now, he only had the responsibility of taking care of a few of them. Most of them were younger than him, he noticed, and all around Kailea's age. He glanced over to his sister briefly, and watched as his father helped the kids board off the ship. An old, white haired lady was the first to come out, and greeted his father with a kiss on the cheek. "Mrs. Kirby! How are you?" His father exclaimed, and struggled to hug the woman back in his wheelchair. The lady simply smiled back, and nodded back to the kids behind her. They treated each other like old friends.

"We'll be in your care this summer, Mr. Nagahara. Please treat us well." She replied simply, and stepped aside as the kids behind stepped onto the pier. They all were pulling their luggage behind them, glancing at their surroundings. The people around them cheered and helped the kids with their bags. Dustin followed behind the crowd, hearing his father at the front instructing the kids over the noise.

"We'll bring you to your cabins first of all, and then you guys are free to roam around all your want. Don't forget the party at the villa at 6!" His father smiled, and Dustin shook his head slightly embarrassed. He wondered where Kailea went, stopping briefly and caught eyes with a younger looking boy. He had long brown hair, probably only 14 or 15, and on the short side. He smiled to him slightly, and followed slightly behind him.

"Need help with your bags?" Dustin asked him.

Jessabelle Alcantara | Orphan | Plane | Day 1

The people were - strangely - very friendly. Boarding off the ship with her bag in tow, Jessabelle looked around the beach surrounding the port. Houses were lined past the sand, and she wondered if that was where they were staying. She looked out at sea, noticing a line of cabins scattered on it, lined by small pathways. The cabins looked brand new, and almost unreal over the sparkling water from the sun. A crowd of people watched all of them with eager eyes, and she spotted a couple kids around her age standing in front. One girl was stunningly pretty, accompanied by an older looking teen who was probably already 20. Jessabelle could only guess that they were siblings.

A middle aged man in a wheelchair, probably around his forties, came to greet them first by the pier. Mrs. Kirby, who was their chaparone for the trip, and who Jessabelle knew since she was a baby, came to greet him as well. The two hugged, and Mrs. Kirby struggled to reach down to hug the man back. She wondered why the locals were being so nice, and why they were here in the first place. The fact of the 'benefactor' donated them money still haunted her, and she was slightly bothered. She still had no clue who the benefactor was. Could the man be among them right now? By "them", Jessabelle meant the locals. Following the crowd of people to their cabins, the thought on who she was going to be bunking with occurred to her.

When the old man - Mr. Nakahara, according to Mrs. Kirby - talked about the party at the villa, Jessabelle snapped to attention. A party? She thought, struggling to glance past the blazing sun to listen in to the announcement. Mrs. Kirby had given them the agenda for the next 5 days before they boarded the boat, but she hadn't gotten a chance to look at it yet. Stopping briefly, she pulled out the paper and looked it over.

Jordan Lee Kessel| Orphan | Plane | Day 1

As they got off the plane and onto a boat, Jordan couldn't believe how beautiful it was here. When they got on the boat she stood near the edge just looking at the area around her. She noticed a younger girl, Jessabelle standing near her for the boat ride and smiled a bit to her. As the boat stopped at the island, her mouth almost dropped. She saw small cabins that where actually not on land "wow this is amazing" she said outloud. She took her headphones out as they started getting off the boat.
She saw all the people that where there, waiting for them, she still didn't understand this. Why would that guy, the benefactor, want to do this for an orphanage. This trip must of cost the man alot of money. She watched Mrs. Kirby go and hug a man in a wheelchair and heard the women say "We'll be in your care this summer, Mr. Nagahara. Please treat us well." So this is the family that is helping out she thought, she saw a boy that looked a bit older then her and a girl, that was really pretty and must be close to her age. She heard Mr. Nagahara mention a party, wow a party, she hasn't really been to a party and wondered what kind of clothes she should wear for the event.
She put her luggage down near her feet as Mrs. Kirby went over the agenda, she listened quietly and took out the paper that had the agenda on it and read it over. She then looked to Jessabelle "Well this is going to be exciting huh?" she asked quietly.

Jackal Ariváé Bie |Orphan|Plane|Day 1

Jackal came from the ship, carrying his luggage and his rucksack, looking around at the locals, but staying silent. He watched the greetings and watched the locals, but all by all, stayed plainly silent. He didn't need to talk, so he wasn't going to talk. When he heard about the party, he listened carefully. At six at the villa, well, he wasn't sure whether to go. He wasn't much of a party animal, or anyone who liked parties, he rather was alone. He looked at the beach and the water before following silently after the group, behind everyone else, but making sure to keep up. He was curious for his cabin, he really wanted to see that.

He noticed an older boy following slightly behind him, but didn't really respond. "Need help with your bags?" the older boy asked and Jackal stopped to look at Dustin. He looked at his bags and sighed softly, he could use some help with carrying them. It wouldn't hurt at least.

Jackal looked back at Dustin and nodded. ''S-sure,'' he mumbled softly and pointed at the heavier bag. He smiled faintly, showing that he was glad that Dustin had asked. Maybe Dustin would be his way to a friendship, maybe not, whatever it would be, he could use some help with his bag. He than continued to follow the group, hoping that Dustin would carry the heavier luggage of him.

Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Cabins | Day 1

Dustin tried to pull a smile when the boy replied. "I'm Dustin, by the way." He replied, nodding, and lifted the heavier bag. They followed behind the crowd in silence, and they started to approach the cabins. He glanced back at the boy without saying anything, and moved a little faster. He was forced by his sister, Kailea, to help clean the cabins for the orphans the day before. The cabins were separated by small passage ways, but were right on top of the ocean. While the water was shallow, his father was nagging him yesterday morning after how one of the orphans might drown. They stopped briefly, and her father started to announce the plans for this summer.

"Hey kid, you know how to swim, right?" Dustin nodded at the water surrounding them and to the cabins around them. He set the bag down, and pushed his sunglasses down his face to keep from the glare of the sun. "If you want, I could help give you lessons...?" He offered, feeling slightly guilty for the boy. He wondered what he'd been through to live at the orphanage. Before the boy got a chance to reply, the papers about housing rosters were being given out. Dustin took the paper, and handed it back.

"If none of guys know how to swim," Dustin heard his father spoke over the crowd, a second too late, "My son, Dustin, would be more than happy to teach you. He works as a lifeguard here at the beach." His father smiled proudly at his son, and Dustin felt a dozen pair of eyes look him over. He kept his gaze to the ground, simply shrugging. His father didn't exactly let him know before hand about this. He'd only offered the little kid here because he felt guilty. "Anyways, find either Dustin or my daughter, Kailea, to help you out with the cabins and I'll see you guys all at 6!"

Jessabelle Alcantara | Orphan | Cabins | Day 1

Just as Jessabelle finally got the chance to review the agenda, she heard a voice over her shoulder. She turned around, and recognized the girl she'd been sitting next to on the plane. Jordan, she thought. Mrs. Kirby was speaking with Mr. Nakahara about the schedules, and Jessabelle whispered back. She wasn't sure if Jordan was being sarcastic or not, but smiled. "I hope so. It's a bit suspicious though, don't you think?" She replied, glancing back to the paper with the list of activities. She scanned the crowd around them, "You planning on going to the party?" She asked Jordan, wondering how many of them were actually planning to go the villa tonight. She wasn't sure herself, but figured asking around wouldn't hurt.

The crowd of people waiting for them had dispersed a little, and Jessabelle had more of an opportunity to recognize the new faces. So far, she only recognized two new faces. One was a short brown haired girl around her age, and the older looking boy she'd seen earlier. The older boy - Dustin, according to Mr. Nakahara's announcement - was helping Jackal, one of the younger orphans, with his luggage. She wondered where the other locals were, but stayed put without saying anything.

When they finally arrived the cabins, Jessabelle recognized it to be the huts she'd seen earlier over the ocean. Papers were being given out about who was bunking with who, and she took the paper from the person in front of her before scanning who she was bunking with.

Jackal Ariváé Bie |Orphan|Cabins|Day 1

Jackal just followed silently, not saying a word at all, just staying silent. He didn't need to talk, so he wouldn't talk. He would only talk if he needed to, if not, than he wouldn't. He heard the boy say something, "I'm Dustin, by the way." Jackal nodded silently and looked at the water. There he seemed to get a bit nervous, but he stayed calm, not showing it too much. He hadn't swam ever in his life, so he had no idea if he could swim, but he guessed he could, but he might as Dustin if he really was getting nervous from it. ''I am Jackal,'' he managed to say, only so softly, like he was scared, nervous, sad. It was a bit audible in his voice, and he recognized it, so stayed silent for the rest.

"Hey kid, you know how to swim, right?" Jackal looked down at the water as Dustin asked and sighed faintly, not wanting to admit that he couldn't swim. "If you want, I could help give you lessons...?" Dustin offered. Jackal looked at Dustin and than at the water. He would ask later. Than he got the housing paper and looked over it, and smiled faintly. He sighed softly and looked at his heavier luggage, than at Dustin.

Jackal grabbed his heavier luggage and entered his cabin. He looked around, a bit amazed at how wonderful it looked. He puts his two bags down and looked down. He still wasn't sure if he should come to the party at six. He sighed and sat down on his bed silently, looking over the room, thinking silently of to come or not to come.

Kailea Nagahara | Local| Cabins | Day 1

Kailea left Dustin. She went around towards the boat and greeted Mrs. Kriby along with her father. She was getting quite excited. Most of the girls were her age and they didn't look too bad. She hoped at least one of them would assume a decent personality and someone exciting. She hadn't really thought about the fact that they were orphans and had no parents. She was just interested in them personally and not really their past. Boucing along with the crowd she heard her father's voice assigning them specifically to help the orphans. She giggled as all eyes were on Dustin for swimming lessons. None of the girls looked eighteen, but she could be wrong. She didn't want to think that he would try to get a girlfriend from them since most of his relationships ended badly. It also meant that a many of the girls refused to be her friends because of him.

Kailea instantly looked for someone to help. She approached the first person she saw and found a short nice looking girl with brown hair and stood in front of her, towering at least half a foot. "Hey, I'm Kailea. Need help finding your cabin?" She looked around and saw another girl seeming to be looking for her room. Kailea wanted to help everyone so she tried to wave to her to come over. It should be better to help two people with one trip.

Jordan Lee Kessel| Orphan | Cabins | Day 1

Jordan followed Jessabelle as they made there way to the cabins, she heard the girl say "I hope so. It's a bit suspicious though, don't you think? You planning on going to the party?" She nodded "yea I think I might though not sure what I should wear...do you have any idea what they would wear to this kind of party?" she asked though she probably didn't know either. As they looked around for the cabins she saw an older boy, who Mr. Nagahara called Dustin, helping one of the younger boys and smiled. The people that live here seem to be nice here, maybe one could teach her to surf, she always did want to learn.

Looking around for her cabin she saw the girl, that she saw down near the boat, ask Jessabelle if they needed help. Jordan didn't catch her name but she went over to them "umm im not sure where my room is, could I get some help also?" she asked looking down at the paper in her hands once more then around the area then back to the girl "im Jordan by the way." She wondered who her roommate was going to be, there was only 4 girls that came, but only three was here. She wondered where the other girl went off to.

Kai Makaio Kealoha | Local | Cabins | Day 1

Kai was rushing towards the cabin now, knowing that’s where mostly everyone is considering the fact that he was late. He was highly upset with himself because he didn’t get there on time to see the orphans get out of the boat. He knew he should’ve just waited until today instead of staying up all night fixing his ukulele. He really didn’t like sleeping in. He didn’t even get to go on his morning walk either! His phone died overnight, too, so there was no way he got Kailea’s text. I hope they’re not mad at me.

As soon as Kai got there, he quickly apologized to Mr.Nagahara for not being there on time before heading towards the cabins. His eyebrow rose in surprise to see that the majority of the orphans were girls. Looking over towards Dustin, he saw that he was already helping out one of the few males. A few seconds later, he grinned as he saw Kailea out of the corner of his eyes. Stealthily sneaking up behind her back, he blew in her ears, hoping to get at least a squeak out of it. Chuckling at his little stunt, he smiled over at the other girls. Since there were more females than males, he decided to help Kailea out with them and introduced himself as well. “Hey, guys! My name is Kai; who needs help with their luggage and cabins?”

Crystal Richards | ORPHAN | Lost/Cabins| Day 1

It wasn't a lie that she Crystal Richards had managed to be lost, okay fine it was technically her fault for running out of the boat and towards the other direction. Hey I girl has to explore... Anyway Crystal found her self indulged by the islands estrange smells and lingering appealing sights. She found herself oohing and ahhing over modern and ancient statues. She finally spotted a small group of cabins and opened the door seeing a bunch of peoples mostly female in the cabins. "Um. hi she muttered clutching the hand of her suitcase tightly she didn't do greetings very well.

OOC: Sorry for the utterly crappy post, it will get better trust me.

Kailea Nagahara| Local| Cabins| Day 1

Kailea looked at Jordan and smiled. "Well, I'm Kailea and I'm supposed to help you guys find the cabins." She looked at the paper. "The rooming is Jessebelle with Crystal and Jordan with Ashely. Jessebelle," she pointed at the shorter girl with a smile, "will be in Cabin 1." She turned around. She was going to point to where Cabin 1 was, but instead felt wind in her ears. Surprised, she did jump a little, but no sound came from her mouth. Looking towards the reason she laughed seeing her close friend, Kai. "You're late," she said faltly and punched his shoulder lightly. "I was on time," she grinned looking up at her taller friend lifting a proud grin. Kailea always had a crush on him. I mean look at him. How could you not? But they were too close of friends. He was the first guy friend she made when she arrived on the island when she was ten. Besides, Kai had this rule of not dating. Kailea thought it was stupid of course, but she didn't question it. She would rather him date her, but it was better that he date no one then another girl. She wouldn't know what to do with herself.

"As I was saying," she returned to the girls nudging Kai towards their luggage not that far off, "Cabin 1 is over there," she pointed to the second beach hut in the water. "Cabin 2 is the one across from it." She redirected her pointer finger towards it. "Here come on," she motioned for the girls to follow her towards them. As they walked along the thin walkway and found herself playing around. She put her feet in front of each other in a straight line and she hopped over the more noticeable dark spots on the walkway. "I hope you guys know how to swim," she chuckled, "and if not, my dad said that my brother would be totally willing to help." Kailea stepped to the side and walking in front of Cabin 2. "This is your cabin Jordan," she put her hands out as if presenting a gift.

Peering in, Kailea saw that Jordan's roommate had already arrived. She guessed the girl's name was Ashley seeing how that was the name of the listed roommate. "Hello," she waved, "your roommate is here." She smiled and stepped aside moving towards Cabin 1 to make room for Jordan to get inside.

Jordan Lee Kessel | Orphan | Cabin | Day 1

"That's actually a really good question.. I have nothing 'formal' in my closet except for an old skirt I wore in middle school." Jordan smiled to Jessabelle "I don't even have a skirt" she laughed and then looked to the girl that introduced herself as Kailea "The rooming is Jessebelle with Crystal and Jordan with Ashely." She was hoping to be roomed with Jessabelle but she will just have to get to know this Ashley girl. She then saw the guy that snuck up on Kailea, Jordan couldn't help but chuckle a little. She then looked as Kailea pointed to the cabin that she be staying in, following right behind her. She was quiet for the most part but when Kailea mentioned swimming she couldn't help but pipe up "I know how to swim, though id love to learn to surf" she said as they reached the cabin she be staying in.

Jordan looked in she couldn't believe how nice it was "wow this is pretty amazing" she then saw her roommate, Ashely, there "Hey you must be Ashely, im Jordan, looks like we are bunking together. She walked inside and put her luggage down but then turned to Kailea "umm one question...do you know what kind of clothing we should wear at the party tonight? I only brought tank tops and shorts and yoga pants."

Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Beach | Day 1

Milani seemed as anxious as Dustin was, because as soon as he set the offer to go to the beach she took off her shirt, exposing her almost model perfect body. He smiled when she ushered him to go first, and they started to make their way to the water. Dustin pulled off her shirt as well, exposing his tanned chest and semi-muscular arms. He looked at the water eagerly, now suddenly remembering he forget to head back to his house to get the board. Before he'd gotten the chance to say anything, he heard Milani admit she couldn't surf. He turned his attention back to her, taking a moment to process the comment, and shook his head. "It's alright. I forgot my board at home anyway." He smiled, blinking from the Sun's rays. They didn't have much time anyway, since his father would call him in eventually. He looked back to the water, "If you want though - when we have more time - maybe I could give you lessons?" He offered, not noticing the girl's anxiousness about the topic. He wasn't that bad of a teacher, and his dad had pretty much put his up for lessons earlier.

Dustin headed into the water before Milani could say anything, finally giving into his temptations. The cold, rich feeling of the sea water against his legs caused him to be feel a sense of relief. He loved the water here at Hawaii, and knew that it was the one thing he'll never forget when he goes to the states. He walked into the water until it reached about thigh-deep, and soaked his head inside. He came out a second later with his face and hair damp. Before going any deeper, he looked around for Milani. "You okay?" He asked her, turning around slightly, and wiped his face from the water.

Jessabelle Alcantara | Orphan | Cabins | Day 1

When Kailea announced that Jordan and her weren't bunking rooms, Jessabelle felt somewhat disappointment. She smiled, however, and nodded as they headed their way inside Jordan's cabin. It would've been nice if they were sharing the same cabin, since they already knew each other. She wasn't paying any attention where they were going, almost tripping over in one of the walkways on the way there. She looked down to the salt water under the path, which had no railings, and gasped slightly. While Jessabelle already knew how to swim, she still got nervous when she couldn’t reach the floor. She looked straight ahead to Cabin 2, noticing Cabin 1 right across from it. She glanced inside the cabins, curious to see how they looked like in the inside. While Jordan was already making her way to her cabin, Jessabelle looked into her own and noticed someone was already inside. She couldn't make out the girl's face, but remembering what her Kailea said, the girl's name was Crystal.

Since the others didn't seem to notice, Jessabelle decided to make her way to her cabin too. She smiled at Jordan, signaling her that they'd see each other at the party, and made her to Cabin 1 eagerly. Her bags were still at tow, and she had trouble pulling them along with her, but reached the cabin in one peace. She was surprised the Cabin didn't sway when she got inside since it looked so unstable. She smiled at the girl sitting on the bed opposite to hers, "I'm Jessabelle. I guess we're roommates?" She said quite awkwardly, and set her things down on the floor.

Kale Kapono Price | Local | Benefactor's Island| Day 1

Kale sat up from his bed and looked out the window. The day was just about halfway over and he felt like he had achieved nothing. He had arrived on the island just about a week ago for summer break and had not contacted any of his friends since his mother had been missing him. He decided he should just stay with her for the time being. He had gone to her salon and talked to the older ladies that came for hair cuts, massages, or to get their nails done. Around lunch time he bought him and his mother a small shrimp meal and then he walked home. By the time he reached his house it was already two o'clock in the afternoon. He rested for a little bit and now wanted to meet up with his old friends. He pulled out his phone. There weren't that many teenagers in the island. The most was probably fifty from the ages of thirteen to nineteen. Some of the people he remembered included the Nagahara kids, Milani, Koa, and Kai. He didn't know everyone else that well since his friendships with them only last the summer. He liked Kailea, but less agreed with her player of a brother, Dustin. He didn't know Milani or Koa enough to make assumptions. And Kai was a good guy so he knew him. Kale also remembered some other kids like Alana who lived with her grandparents. He pulled out his cellphone and scanned for their numbers.

Kale text messaged Kai. He was the safest bet. "Hey Kai. It's Kale. I'm back on the island for the summer. Where you at, bra?" Then he sent it and got up from his bed. He changed into his black and blue basketball shorts and a white tank top under a white shirt with black words on it. He got out of his house and made his way to the park. Maybe he could find a couple of teens or even adults to play basketball with.

Kailea Nagahara | LOCAL | Cabins| Day 1

Kailea noticed that most of the orphans were already in their cabins. Turning to Jordan's question she grinned. "Wear something casual. You don't have to be too formal. Remember, you're in Hawaii," she giggled, "You guys are going to love the villa. They have a swimming pool so bring a bathing suit underneath your clothes. I think they have towels and stuff over there," she guessed. She grabbed Kai's strong arm and made him move a little so she could look at Jessebelle in her room. Her roommate was inside already as well. "So don't miss the 6 o'clock party at the villa. We," she looked up at Kai, "will be here around 5:45 to get you guys if you want to come. You don't have to come," she said not wanting to pressure them. "But I really suggest you at least look at the place. People from the island are coming too. It's gorgeous," she smiled from ear to ear. Then she started to walk away from them. "I'll see you guys later," she waved the four girls goodbye, leaving them to get acquainted with each other.

Kailea walked back towards her father who was talking with Mrs. Kirby. She smiled, politely interrupting the two of them. "All the orphans are in their cabins," Kailea said, though she really didn't know if all of them had made it to their cabins alright. Everyone she saw had gotten into them so she just assumed that was the case. Mrs. Kirby smiled and thanked her. Then she reminded Mr. Nagahara about the allowances for the kids. "Three hundred dollars?" Kailea said, astounded. Wow, she thought. And then she remembered it was for a week. They had no other source of money. But three hundred dollars was way more then her parents trusted her with. Mrs. Kirby said she would take care of the allowance distribution.

Jordan Lee Kessel| Orphan | Cabins | Day 1

"I may have something you can borrow. You look about the same size as me." Jordan smiled to Ashely "that be great thanks" she then heard Kailea "Wear something casual. You don't have to be too formal. Remember, you're in Hawaii," "Well thats a good thing because all I really wear is casual" she watched Kailea leave the cabin and said she would see them later. Jordan waved as she left then turned back to Ashely looking at the three shirts she put out "hmm can I wear the black tank? and ill just wear a pair of shorts with them". She put her luggage on her bed and started unpacking "so how old are you Ash? Do you mind if I call you Ash? Im 15. What do you like to do?"

Her eyes drifted over to Ash, she couldn't help but look the girl over. At first she really didn't know she was but when she did her cheeks turned a little pinkish. When she was done putting her clothes away she sat on her bed and looked back to Ashely "So do you want to take a walk around? We could as Jessabelle and Crystal to come around. We still have some time till we need to get ready for the party."

Kailea Nagahara| LOCAL | Island| Day 1

Kailea watched as Mrs. Kirby left a small envelope with the orphan's name on the front inside the mailbox of each orphan's cabin. She put one for each child and left it there with no further notice to what it was or what it was for. It was the allowance money so Kailea guessed the kids already knew what it was and would take it eventually. She realized her work was done for the meantime. She could find Dustin so she went back to their house to pick out her outfit for the party later. She rummaged through her many dresses and bathing suits in her closet searching for something pretty to wear. The villa had a nice pool so she brought out her black one piece swimsuit. She put it on and looked at herself in the mirror. She then put on her black and purple dress over it. It wasn't much, but she didn't like to show off or draw too much attention to herself.
