- Extreme Temperatures: Due to his mixed heritage, Beau has received the weakness from both sides. When he’s near extreme heat or extreme cold, he’s as vulnerable as a normal human.

Like most dragons, Beau is a hoarder. He has his main pile of treasure, and then will randomly start collecting something else for a month or two. Ever since Beau saw the unlimited colors of lipstick and nail polish, he has been hooked. None of them have ever been opened, (except for the few he’s stolen from unsuspecting people because the color just looked so amazing) and they probably never will be. He has been teased, both by friends and non-friends, but Beau can’t find it in himself to feel self-conscious about his hoard. Some other items he has collected in the past are stuffed animals, super hero capes, and baby teeth.
Beau doesn’t have much of a temper. Nothing really fazes him, and it takes a lot to get under his skin. He’s always felt that it took too much effort to get worked up or offended by people and situations, so Beau lets most things slide off his scal- er, back. This is very helpful whenever he’s in stressful situations, because he’s able to keep a clear head and not make a hasty decision.
This is mostly due to Beau’s lifestyle, but he’s not judgmental. Demon, human, fairy, dragon, mermaid, it doesn’t matter to him. He was for all intents and purposes outcast when he was young, so he didn’t receive most prejudices that dragons have against other species. This open mindedness also applies to how other people live their lives as well. As long as whatever someone is doing won’t affect Beau or his friends in a negative way, he’s perfectly fine with you continuing on.
That, however, has the effect of making Beau seem extremely selfish. In reality, he just doesn’t much care for the wellbeing of strangers. Sure, Beau will be polite to everyone. But if someone he didn’t know was being mugged, Beau would most likely walk the other way without feeling any guilt whatsoever. If you go after himself or his friends, that’s a different story. Beau is very loyal to those he is close to, and would do almost anything to keep them safe.

Beaumont Ward was born into the FirePride clan. This clan was made up of a group of “pure-breeding” fire dragons. In other words, your entire family line had to be composed of fire dragons. The leaders of this clan believed that keeping their bloodlines pure would result in dragons with stronger and stronger fire breathing abilities. Unfortunately, Beau seemed to have been born without any fire powers whatsoever. He didn’t even have an immunity to his parents’ flames, something Beau learned due to an unfortunate “accident” early in life.
Beau began avoiding everyone from his clan at a very young age. He was mocked and bullied for being fireless, and his own parents acted ashamed of him. One night, Beau was hiding from his bullies when he noticed his mom sneaking away from their territory. He followed her and discovered why he didn’t have any powers. His mother had a lover from a different clan, and her lover was a water dragon. Beau realized he’d never be accepted by either clan if this was found out, and he ran that night. The age of majority in the FirePride clan was considered to be 75 years old, so they technically weren’t allowed to kick him out until then, but Beau left when he was barely 50. He never looked back.
For several decades, Beau wandered the Dragon Realm. He had nowhere to go and no one to help him. It was completely by accident that Beau found a portal leading to Parkwood. He was 85 when he crossed over into the Human World. Beau was immediately drawn to the Hotel on the outskirts of town and decided to make his home there. Every other year or so, Beau would stroll through the town for a bit to try and understand how to act more human. He never stayed long enough for anyone to take notice of him, and he’s now comfortable acting like a “normal” person. It’s been a peaceful, if somewhat boring, life. But lately, Beau’s been feeling some supernatural stirrings, and he doubts it’s good news.
