From the very beginning of the Outcasters, the roleplay itself has always been focused heavily around the use of magic and powers, as well as many different types of mythical, powered or made-up species. But, as well as this, the focal point of the roleplay is for your characters to build upon existing relationships, form entirely new ones, or cope with the loss of such. We encourage you to build your own story arcs, whether they are relevant to only your character or a whole bunch of others (with permission, of course), so that everyone can hop in and contribute. This is one of the main reasons the older roleplays lasted for as long as they did.

As such, the Outcasters can be referred to as a 'sandbox' roleplay, meaning that you can have as many or as few characters as you would like, and give them any power, race, backstory and/or personality that comes out of that talented little head of yours. The more unique your character is, the more likely he/she is to be noticed, and accepted. It is because of this aspect that there will be no character limits, although I reserve the right as GM to deny new accounts (not new characters) after a certain point, since too many writers tend to make things a little complicated.

You do not need to have been in any of the previous roleplays to join this one, however please keep in mind that this is a remake of the third generation roleplay, and as such we will be keeping some basic ideas and plots from the previous. Any and all stories already put in place will be added to the OOC forum as soon as possible. I shall be placing information below about Parkwood, and all of the major characters from the previous generations.

Image

Parkwood is the town in which our story takes place. It is a decently large town, considering that it is located in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Surrounded by mountains and forests on all sides, and only two or three roads leading out of it, it's fair to say that Parkwood is pretty isolated. And with good reason. No one knows why, exactly, but this town is where all the portals leading to and from the Supernatural Realms collect, making it a hotspot for unusual activity and powered beings. Although, most 'mortals', as they are called, have no idea at all that they're socialising with such creatures on a daily basis.

Within the town you have the basics. The most basic and the most necessary would be a housing estate, 'cause people will obviously need a place to live. The homes seen in Parkwood are somewhere on the borderline between being basic and luxurious. While they're not small nor do they practically scream 'squalor', they're not mansions and they do have their flaws. Being attached, all homes seen here are along long roads. There are about five or six houses on each row, with some exceptions. They all have a driveway.

Located in the middle of Parkwood would be the Town Centre. This is where all the shops and other necessary buildings are situation. Here you've got all the essentials; a grocery store, a fruit & veg market, a convenience store, and such things as a DIY store, book store, games store, tech store, etc. Pretty much anything and everything you need to survive in the middle of nowhere. On the outskirts of the town there are small farms which crow crops and raise cattle for everyday products; in this sense, Parkwood is primarily self-sufficient.

There are schools available for all ages, all with 'Parkwood' and then the 'school range' afterwards. For example, 'Parkwood High School' or 'Parkwood College'. This is where all students, supernatural and mortal alike, attend.

{ H O T E L }
The Hotel is another primary location in this roleplay, and has been used as a sort of 'base' for all the previous members of the Outcasters' makeshift family to settle. In fact, more has gone on in this hotel in the past than in the actual town. This is, initially, the Davenport family home, but it still functions as a hotel in many ways. They accept guests and such, but mostly they specialise in providing the Supernatural population of Parkwood a place to stay, so that they're not homeless and/or forced to create trouble out in the streets. They'd prefer to keep their Supernatural sides away from mortal knowledge.

There is a forest path which leads to the Hotel from the Town; this is where most people choose to access it. Surrounding the path and hotel (much like the village, although much more isolated in most ways), is a thick forest. This is where most of the portals open or close, away from the prying eyes of mortal civilians. It's because of this that most new beings find themselves in front of the Hotel before they're willing to travel a mile down an unknown path.

Around the Hotel is where most of the Dryad Life Trees are found.

Any and all information on important characters from the previous generations will be placed in the OOC forum.

Despite this being a sandbox roleplay where anything can happen, I do have a few rules and notices for you all.

1. We encourage foul language and adult themes. As such, if you're a little squeamish, or too young to handle such things, then I recommend that you don't join.

2. That being said, don't be a little bitch about things. If you don't like the way someone's talking, don't throw a tantrum. Talk it out and be mature, otherwise we're likely to just ignore you. I don't mean to sound really harsh here, 'cause I'm not that sort of person, but this annoys me on so many levels, I can't even explain.

3. Make sure your characters are not OP. Like, I know we went a little crazy with powers and such in the previous roleplays, but I'm cracking down on it a little more here. Give your characters as many powers as you'd like, and make them any race, but keep in mind that every power has its weaknesses and its limitations. And the more powers you give your characters, the more basic and limited they'll be. This is to make things at least slightly fair, if anything.

4. You can make your character any way you want, but we encourage you to give them personalities which make them interesting to interact with. If you want to make them the most vile, inhuman creature that has ever entered Parkwood, then great! The more troublesome, the better. To counteract this, you could make a characters who battle evil, no matter the cost, and create drama with these antagonistic beings. Conflict makes for a better roleplay, and in turn stops them from dying out.

5. Human face claims only, please. You can pick actors/actresses, YouTubers, models, musicians, or anything you can think of, but it has to be a living, breathing human.

6. In the previous roleplays, there's always been one thing I've noticed, and I've decided to make a point of picking this out and making it known. With the supernatural beings, it seems enhanced senses and physical attributes are a given, because they depend on the species of your character. As such, you don't have to include these 'abilities' as part of your character's powers, because (depending on the species) they're kind of expected of you.

Eh, uhm, that's it for rules and notices, I guess. -Shrug-

I make it a point in my roleplay to never have a set character skeleton. You can make your character sheet any way you want. It's always been my knowledge that the Outcasters roleplay was always more about the roleplaying than designing beautiful characters and making everyone gasp in awe of its fabulousness. Truth be told, all you need to include in your sheets are the basic points I'll be listing below, some images to give us an idea of your character's appearance, and any additional information you want to add.

Honestly, I prefer detailed, well-made and unique characters in place of amazing sheet designs. We're all about character development, so if you want to list all the fundamental points at first and edit/develop the information at a later date as your characters are involved in stories and are forced to improve and adapt, that's fine.

Sunday didn't want to go to this funeral. She'd never been to one, and as much as she loved Sashi, the idea of seeing her lying there, without a breath in her chest, was too much.

But it was right, her Father wanted her to have one, and even though they didn't have one but them to send her off, someone needed to celebrate her life.

Sunday knew a handful about her, that she was like her, had been abused by someone that should have taken care of her, but that she came through it and was able to move passed it, became stronger. She knew little things, some songs she liked, books and things like that. Sashi liked comic books, Sunday didn't understand them, but Sashi liked them.

It was sad, it wasn't long that they knew her, and they knew virtually nothing. They barely had time to love her, but they did. Sunday wished Sashi had been her mother, or step mother, and by how silently her father was, it was clear that he thought so too.

Sunday was glad that Kellin stuck around, mostly for her sake, because he seemed uncomfortable with being in the hotel in general.

At that moment, she decided she'd clean Sashi up, make her look nice for the funeral. She'd already changed her out of her bloody clothes, and dressed her in a lovely black and purple dress. Purple was her favorite color. Sunday had forgotten to get things for her hair, she wanted to put her curly hair up and in something pretty, so she went out to grab a hair brush and ponytail holder and one her way back, everything she'd grabbed clattered to the floor.

She grabbed her mouth to hold back her screams but they still broke through, just not enough to alert the house, just Kellin, who came rushing in.

"She's---"
Sunday walked further into the room, and found it completely and utterly empty. No sign of Sashi, that she was alive, or dead, minus the blood that stained the couch that she'd been laid on.

"Kellin, Sashi's gone." She gasped, running her hand over her head, upsetting her dark hair. "What...I ...Humans don't do that, do they?" She asked him. She didn't really have an experience with humans at ll. Sashi was the first and only one she'd ever met. "They don’t just get back up, right?" She said and then thought, and while it wasn't meant to be funny, it could have been when she added. "Unless they were zombies? But even then she'd been in the room, right?"
