He wanted to relax, let out a deep breathe and celebrate, but the victory just led him into even more decisions. When the Tigers were scattered to the winds, his troops seized their resources - food, water, weaponry, medical supplies. He wasn't sure what to do with them. Distributing it to the people would win him some loyalty, but he could also use it to recruit even more troops. The promise of food, water and shelter would probably convince many to risk their lives. After all, life without these things tended to be even shorter than the life of a soldier.
He also had to decide what to do about the rest of the Tigers. He could pursue them, try to hunt them down. On one hand, he might be able to eliminate them almost entirely, but on the other, it could be a waste of resources. The Tigers knew how to lie low, and they weren't his only enemy.
He shook his head. That was a decision to be made later, when he was more level-headed. This lack of sleep had made him emotional and unbalanced. He headed to his quarters and lied down in bed, pulling the covers over him. His brain was still going a hundred miles an hour, but he managed to clear it for a moment and just breathe. He lost his sense of direction for a moment, as he reached that serene time of sleep, dreamless sleep.
