Age: 42
Gender: Male
Appearance: Standing at about 5'8", he is very stocky-looking with his broad shoulders and wide torso. He has a bald head with a thick red bread that flares out.
Clothing:
http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/3035/mountandbladeconceptart.jpg Minus everything except the mail and surcoat. Plus he has an arming cap.
Occupation: A lost soldier. (Practically, he is retired)
Weapons: He received his bronze mace back from Kalina. It is adorned with engravings from ancient times and is a family heirloom that has probably seen battles fought during the times of a past empire.
Likes: Fighting/sparring, being able to expect something, and eating sweet potatoes.
Dislikes: Strangers, surprises, and cider.
Personality: An irritable warrior who believes he's still part of the war, Grid is very impatient with the rest of the group. He is a bit paranoid and often feels that he shouldn't put too much trust on anyone on this island, but he is still willing to give some advice. He can be very stubborn, yet sometimes he can be pressured/encouraged to change his mind and reluctantly listen to the other members. Most people would probably see him as the grumpy ol' man. People describe him acting almost normal and kind when he is around children.
Background: With his fellow soldiers gone and his lord dead, Grid wandered around the homeland without guidance. Soon, he spotted the group of refugees preparing to set sail. Believing that they are the ones that ambushed and killed his lord, he unwittingly ran up to them, shouting battle-cries and insults. He knocked one person over and yelled out, in blatant absurdity, that every one of them are now his prisoners. Shortly, he was subdued and became a helpless captive himself. However, instead of being left one the shore handcuffed, he was brought along board, despite protests from many of the refugees. He was confiscated of his mace, dagger, shield, and helmet (he threatened to break someone's skull with it).
Other: His Pukko-style dagger, his 20" diameter rawhide shield (painted with his lord's insignia of a man holding a kite shield in one hand and a grapevine in the other), and his steel spectacle helmet are now in possession of whoever is in the leadership position of the whole group.
