He is very reluctant to trust/form relationships with people. He has sworn never to lie after seeing how it affects his mother. He is also a bit of a pessimist, rarely laughing or smiling. He is also seems older than his years leading him to be an outcast in his peers.

History

Blaine's mother became pregnant before graduating from South Edge City High School. She never graduated, she works multiple minimum wage jobs to provide for herself and Blaine. She has also had a string of boyfriends that abuse both herself and Blaine. She copes by surrounding herself in a cocoon of lies, tricking herself into thinking everything is happy and perfect. Blaine sees this and has grown disillusioned by life. He tries to help his mother but is angered by her insistence on believing her lies.
