Tabitha Davio - "Tabbi" was a musical child prodigy from as early as she could sit at a piano. Early in her teens she became most enamoured with the electric guitar, listening to guitarists like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and bands like Rush and Dream Theatre. Unfortunately she never got a break in the mainstream market. Part of the reason was that she didn't sing, and solo musicians always find it more difficult to find a niche. But the bigger part was the fact that Tabbi was a werewolf, belonging to an influencial family of wolves integrated into the society of Chicago, USA. This meant that she was surrounded by very protective siblings, uncles, and non-biological family members, all of who forbade her from getting involved in musical circles outside of the pack.

Fortunately, the pack controlled a record label secretly specialising in signing artists who are werewolves, irrespective of which pack they belong to. This label, brassly called "Howling at the Moon Records", does not practice nepotism, and it was genuinely Tabbi's talent that got her signed. Now at 17, however, the niche label was never going to get her far, and her biggest success has been her reception on the internet, through her own website and Youtube where she posts her own songs, as well as guitar masterclasses. One could say she is the Christina Grimmie of lead guitar. The exposure she's recieved in this was has been frowned upon by her 'family', who keep a watchful eye on her at all times.

Tabbi screwed her face up and chuckled at what he ordered. These crazy Brits sure had some weird foods. She pulled out the only British money she had - which happened to be a ÂŖ20 note - and slid it towards the clerk. Judging by the amount of change which came back, it had obviously been too much by quite a bit, but she'd had no opportunity to get a feel for English prices.

"I'll buy this if you let me try some of yours." she said, smiling at him and still shaking her head in bewilderment.

She followed him over the to table and sit down, angling her body away from the window slightly and crossing one aching leg over the other. The effects of jet-lag and exhaustion were still prominent, but the promising smell of food all around her lifted her spirits somewhat.

"Actually no." she said, "I never really expected to either - not that I've got anything against England, right? But my friends and family don't really do foreign holidays, and I've only just started playing shows outside of Illinois, so when my manager gave me to opportunity to come here it was a real surprise."

Tabbi rolled here eyes and nodded. "Yeah, Lance." she said gruffly, "He's my manager, agent, producer...and also my uncle. I kinda got one of those tight-knit-community every-knows-everybody-and-half-of-us-are-related kinda deals goin' on."

"Holy shit," Tabbi exclaimed, a smirk forming on her lips, "wow...to drive across England? It takes three hours to drive across just Illinois. You guys are small."

Tabbi tilted her and a pretended to glower at him. "Well, I guess I can forgive you as long as this cornish pasty's good and you play well tonight."

She chuckled lightly and leaned forward a little, feeling herself ease up a bit. "So did you see much of Chitown while you were there?"

She laughed and looked down. "Awesome. Gotta love that jazz."

As the cloud of irritability and tiredness started to lift, she came to her senses a little bit and realised she was having quite a good time already talking to Pete. If she'd gone out with Julian and Chrystal, it would have been raucous and stressful. Her brother was the eldest son of their father - the Alpha of the pack - and seemed to go wherever Tabbi went as her 'guardian'. Even though he didn't think twice of leaving her behind back at the Colston Hall...

As for Chrystal, she'd been a good friend to Tabbi for a long time, but whenever she was with Julian she just changed into a loud-laughed, obnoxious suck-up. Ribbing and teasing she expected from Julian, but when Chrystal chipped in on it, it got to her. After all, she never asked for her brother to babysit her wherever she went to do gigs.

She glanced at the window, suddenly wishing they'd sat further into the shop. If Julian walked past and saw her sitting with a stranger - a human no less - then he would probably get his hackles up and likely make a scene.

Tabbi's eyes snapped to the plates as they were put on the table, her saliva glands suddenly going into overdrive at the imminence of food. The smell was incredible, and the size of it was a welcome sight, justified entirely by her hunger. Grabbing for a knife and fork she wasted no time it cutting it up.

At his question she looked up and frowned a little. "Well I did't get signed up just because he's my uncle if that's what you mean."

"Uh, yeah I guess." she said, "Lance is a little intense, it gets kinda heavy sometimes. I mean who wants to be around family all the time? It's like you said, sometimes you need a healthy distance."

"You'd think, right?!" she said, shoveling a large pile of meat and pasty into her mouth, and closing her eyes for the moment at the taste, the warmth, the sheer goodness of getting some food at last. "Oh yeah, that's good eatin'. Definitely a good call Pete."

She scooped up some more food, before remembering his question. "What were we saying? Oh yeah, my family. Well my brother and his girlfriend came along too. He's, like, a monkey on my back the whole time. Pretends like he's my biggest fan but it's just an excuse to be 'big brother' and crowd my space."

She made quick progress through the delicious pasty, leaning back as her grateful stomach began to fill.

"You got brothers or sisters in the area?"
