Appearance:
Clarice is quite a sight. She stands at only five foot tall and her shoes add nothing to her height, with wide eyes and long dirty-blonde hair that is usually tied into a side ponytail. Her fringe is parted to the side and is either left as-is or is pulled out of her face with a barrette. Freckles dot her face and her shoulders. She wears a sleeveless hoodie with two pockets and a zipper that runs the complete length of the garment, and is usually unzipped. The back of the hoodie is a racer-back and exposes most of her shoulder blades, and proudly displays a large white Pokeball symbol. Below it is a striped shirt with one sleeve. She wears black shorts that have been cuffed and high-top tennis shoes. A dogtag necklace is tucked into her tank-top and she wears a white sweatband on her right wrist, as well as the common black trainer gloves, fingerless. She has an industrial piercing in each ear. Her backpack is black and large, if not seemingly empty.

-Winter: Long-sleeved version of her summer hoodie, white leggings under her shorts, and matching red leg warmers. Hair is now down and with a black Pokemon beanie, with a fire symbol.

-Contest: Her hair is down. White short-sleeved V neck shirt with a gray lacy tanktop underneath and a very full powder blue skirt. Black flats.

To look at her, she seems sweet and feminine... that is, until you catch a glimpse of her personality.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality: Just like the type of Pokemon she loves, Claire is very feisty and lively. She took to Pokemon on a whim and hasn't regretted the choice one bit - that she would admit, anyway. She is very proud and tries her best to be self-sufficient, loud and obnoxious, and does everything she does with her heart. Rarely does she use her head, and it has gotten her and her Charmander in trouble more than once. Because of her hardheadedness and her way of ignoring her logic, she can come across as an airhead - which, to an extent, she is. It is not that she's idiotic. She just gets so excited and hyped up that she forgets details and things... such as her tent when she embarked on her adventure.

Likes: Ramen, winning (she's a sore loser.), her Charmander, rain

Dislikes: Insects (that includes most bug type Pokemon), abrupt noises, being underestimated.

Fears: Abrupt noises (fireworks, thunder), injuries to her Pokemon when she's unable to give potions / is not close to a Pokemon Center.

Bio: Clarice grew up very rich, and very spoiled. As a child she was sheltered and kept indoors and away from the Pokemon... Until one faithful day when her parents took her out to see a parade. There was a young man, having traveled to the Faria regions to capture more Pokemon and battle more trainers, and he had become a spectator in the parade as it passed. Eager to catch a glimpse of the floats, Claire took off from her parents, running off into the crowd and right into a Pokemon, a Nidoran. Unfortunately the Pokemon was ill-tempered and did not find the small girl as amusing as his owner did... and as she reached out to touch the foreign creature it Scratched her.

Needless to say, the wail she created brought attention to her parents, and she was coddled and kept away from the "monsters" until her parents grew tired of her begging and pleading for one. They had expected the event with the Nidoran to scar the girl for life, but instead it had sparked an interest that could not be put out.

At age ten she joined the Pokemon Academy and has learned everything she thought she needed to know from there. Once she graduated, she gathered what she believed she needed for her new adventure (...which was not enough to suffice, to say the least...) and took off, her newly acquired Charmander in tow. While her parents do not necessarily agree with her going out and doing something so dangerous and on such a fleeting thought, she is determined to do her best and show her parents that she can rough it and battle with her Pokemon.

Anything Else: Baby-talks her Charmander when he is not in a battle... and can have quite a vicious tongue to him when in one. Despite her callous remarks when she's in battle, she loves her Charmander to death and babies it like it's actually her child.
