Appearance:
Mike stands about 5' 7" last time he checked. He prefers to stay slimmer, weighing about 120 lbs. He has short light brown hair, kept out of his eyes by the headband he usually wears. He always keeps his jacket unzipped and only takes it off when its to hot to keep on. Mike usually wears brown cargos with a couple pockets.

Personality: Mike always been a nervous kid. Yet, he's usually calm. He doesn't hate people, he just prefers not being around too many of them. If someone starts a conversation with him, he'll friendly reply and keep it going, but usually won't start one on his own. He may seem cold at times but he's never been directly mean. So, its pretty easy to tell that he hasn't had many friends. But, Mike knows many pokemon that he could call friends. He's absolutly fascinated with them. He simply loving being around them. In fact, his favorite hobby is simply to relax with pokemon around him. Mike also loves to understand things, which is why he finds pokemon so interesting. And, even though it may not seem like it, he enjoys battling because he can learn more about pokemon.

Bio: Mike Rivers was born and raised in his small home village and he preferred it that way. When he was born his parents left him in the village beacause they still wanted to explore. They never came back but, he didnt seem to care. The villagers seemed to baby him over this fact and he was pretty much the whole town's kid. He lived most of his life in a treehouse, in the center of town. The village didn't have anything really noteworthy except the Pokemon Center, which Mike went often to see passing trainers and their pokemon. He grew up around pokemon, having the forest right outside of town and all the ones used on some of the farms. When he was about seven, Mike went into the forest and found an Aron, the same one that would later be his partner. He found Doug, the Aron, badly wounded but as he approached, the Aron growled a bit warning him but Mike knew he had to help it. So he continued his advance and tried to show he ment no harm. Doug, rather then fighting back he layed down, to exhausted to fight. Mike then scopped him up into his arms and ran for the center as fast as he could, probably saving the aron's life. And the next year, Mike was enrolled in the pokemon academy.
Mike barely went however, usually hanging out with Doug or the many other pokemon in the forest. But whenever he was given a test, he passed it with flying colors. He thought that the school was a waste of time and that he could learn better just being with the pokemon. But, as time went by the villagers started to woory about Mike and begged him to take school more seriously. So, Mike was able to finish the academy's courses, not because he wanted to but, becasue his "family" wanted him to. On his 16th birthday the villagers got him all the supplies he would need on his journey and a camera that they thought he would like to use to learn about pokemon. Mike then left two days later, with his newly captured Doug, to start his journey.
Anything Else:
Mike prefers to let his pokemon out whenever he can get the chance.

Besides his "family", Mike doesn't really know anyone noteworthy.
