Appearance: Most people who encounter Sean tend to describe him as a “cutie”. Not gifted with any natural musculature or a chiseled jaw or even that tall, Sean stands at a simple five-foot, five-inches tall with just enough weight to keep him from blowing away in a breeze. He’s quite lanky and has long limbs. Bullies at the academy used to call him an infernape mixed with a jigglypuff for more than one reason. Sean has an unnaturally high voice for a young man his age and walks around with a particularly rounded face that shows only a few hints of him being male. In fact, some are taken aback when he reveals that he is a young man. He has long brown hair with a single blonde streak down one of his bangs that’s parted to one side, letting him see the world through deep brown eyes.
He loves to dress himself in a variety of different outfits that hardly ever seem to disappoint visually. He carries a special pack with him for his clothing along with his pokemon gear. His fashion sense does seem to clash with his love for pokemon, seeing as how he is outdoors mostly and camping out, but he manages to work his way through the dirt and the grime to continue with his dreams.


Sexual Orientation: Homosexual (and proudly so)

Personality: Sean, at first glance, does seem to fit into a few of the gay stereotypes with his mannerisms. He can be quite loud and loves to be the center of attention. He can have an ego the size of a wailord at times and sometimes will simply bask in himself. However, he tries to make up for this by helping others out, even in simple ways, but it is quite a rare occasion to see that. Above all, Sean is happy. It takes quite a lot to break his stride and put him under the weather. He’s always wearing some smirk or grin and likes it that way. Always an optimist, it bugs him to no end when people around him are downcast. He’s been quoted on saying, “Stop being a rain cloud, you’re raining on my parade”, which sums up Sean quite nicely.

Likes: Sean likes, above all, being happy and a very close second would be himself and his image. He likes looking nice. He likes other happy people and loves parties and social events. Sunny weather and swimming are also part of his happy list.

Dislikes: Cloudy weather and people who resemble it are two of the things that irk Sean to no end. Also people who make certain situations awkward tend to get on his nerves as well. Aside from that Sean tends to dislike very little in the world.

Fears: Sean has an intense fear of thunderstorms, and by extension, electrical pokemon. He’s slightly afraid of the dark, and prefers to stay out of caves unless he can see where he’s going as well.

Bio: Sean was born and raised in Vermillion city in Kanto. However, when Sean was very little, his father left him and his mother to fend for themselves. With very few options available to a single mother who’s child could barely say two words, Sean’s mother was forced to move in with her brother, Lt. Surge. The gym leader provided for them while Mrs. Pillar took to being a worker at the PokeMart. It was a nice environment for a while, but as Sean grew up, Surge noticed certain things.
Sean wasn’t the type of boy who would go out and adventure with his friends, the kind that got lost in Diglet’s cave or had to be saved from a nasty ekans bite. He was the kind who would dress up his uncle’s pokemon and make them look quite pretty. (There was one time when Surge walked in on his electabuzz wearing one of his sister’s pink sundresses and lipstick). He, Surge, would often have talks in an angry voice with his sister about how she’s raising Sean, but with her overtime schedule at the PokeMart, figured that if he was so concerned, then he should try spending some more time with Sean.
And he did, over the next few years, with plenty of protest at the beginning, Surge worked young Sean through the processes of battling and how pokemon could be used as tools. It was slow going because all Sean wanted to do was paint the voltorbs a different color other than red. By the time Sean was around 9 years old, they had made so little progress that Sean had only managed to capture a caterpie. While other boys were running around with their rattatas and pikachus, Sean could hardly control this simple bug. Frustrated, Surge sent him down to Diglet’s cave with his electabuzz and Sean’s caterpie told him not to come out until he caught 4 other pokemon, even if he had to go all the way to Pewter City to do it. If he failed, then electabuzz would shock him.
Nearly a week passed and when Sean’s mother discovered what happened, she rushed to try and find her son. What she did find was a ferocious electabuzz battling a butterfree which was defending an unconscious boy. The butterfree was badly injured, but so was the electabuzz. With one final blast of confusion the electric pokemon finally fainted, however, the effort it took caused the bug pokemon to fall as well.
When Sean awoke, he had remembered being shocked for the upteenth time and then waking up in a pokemon center. Of course, one of his first questions was where his Sean pillar (caterpie) was, and his mother had to sit down and deliver the grim news, and consol her crying son.
They packed up and moved to Faria soon after. What surprised Sean’s mother most about the ordeal was how Sean was taking it. He wanted to enroll himself into the pokemon academy and become a better trainer. Sean was determined to prove his uncle wrong, that he would become someone amazingly strong and that he could and would defeat Surge one day.
