Personality
Alexander is a "loli-shota"- an older boy who likes cute things. As such, he is usually happy-go-lucky and smiling. He's optimistic and likes to eat anything sweet. His childish appearance makes him look like he should still be in an Elementary School, however he's older than his sister, who is in her first year of highschool.
He appears to be dimwitted, but actually is very smart, and is able to see whenever his sister is upset about something, or if she has feelings for people. Even though he is usually happy, he can be angered somewhat easily, and can be very intimidating to the Eliza. This often results in the her having strange theories about him, such as Alexander being possessed by the devil when he was born.

History
When Alexander was young, his father, Paule Mongomery, passed away, leaving Eliza and Alexnder behind with their depressed mother, Alyssa. Unlike his younger sister who was only 3 at the time, Alexander bonded with his dad, who he loved much more than everyone in the world combined. When Paule passed away, he became less open to his mother, sister, and the rest of the world. As her mother was thrown into depression, Eliza and Alexander were left alone for many days or weeks or months. At times, their aunt's father came and took care of them, giving them meals and taking care of her well-being.
When Alexander was 9, the siblings were burdened with the loss of their mother as well, Alexander became more attached to Eliza, opening himself to her, and never leaving her side. His attachment to Eliza is the most common culprit to why he's such a... dare I say, baby.
On the day that the tournament was announced, Alexander had his heart set on not only competing in it, but winning it as well. Of course Eliza tried to persuade him out of it, but Alexander wanted to go to get away from boredom. So they settled it the only way they could, a pokemon battle. If Eliza won, then they'd stay home and that was that, but if Alexander won, which he did, they'd both compete in the tournament.

Fact: Alexander never calls anyone by their full name. He always finds a shorter and cuter way to say names. Take Eliza for example, Alexander calls her "Lizi" or "Elilii", and sometimes adds "-chan" to the end.
