Most would assume Mercy to be the strong silent type, one who is serious about what he does. But, his personality is a complete contrast to your typical hunter. Because Mercy's job is already dark and gloomy, he believes that good times should be taken advantage of and that everyone could use a good laugh. So he desperately tries to see the bright side of every situation. Comedy and a bit of optimism help him accomplish this; a fifth of vodka makes it a bit easier too.

Despite this attitude, he is not to be taken lightly; he is a force to be reckoned with. When it comes to hunting demons, there is no better partner to have. He will do anything within his morals to accomplish his mission. mercy has certain hatred for demons that is comparable to no other. But, like any straight male, he warms up to any female with a cute face; for him, there is never a wrong place or time to hit on a beautiful woman.

Recently, his drinking has gotten worse, a result of him mourning the loss of a dear friend. So he has turned to the only friend he has left, Charlotte, better known to most as Vodka. He still has a high tolerance to the alcohol, so it is rare to see him drunk. But, his body is beginning to suffer because of this abuse.

Clothes/Armor
Nice Suit: Your average suit, complete with a black tie and boots. Due to his living conditions and job, he goes through these a lot and since he has no place to store them, he is always buying new ones and discarding old ones. See large pic above for reference.

Battle Gear: this is a suit he wears when he engages in a battle that won't be quickly won. It is always under his clothing, which is why he has to buy his clothing a bit bigger. When it comes time to change into this, he pulls a Clark Kent, but doesn't exactly do this in private.

+Suit Features: The suit is made of Kevlar Fabrics, Leathers, Light Metals, and other misc materials, summing up to make a lightweight suit that offers a lot of protection. It is comfortable and offers protection against the elements. Also makes very little noise, just in case Mercy has to do some sneaking. There are numerous pockets and slots to hold a different combination of items. The only one real weapon on the suit is the blades located on right arm. These are very sharp and tough, made for close range combat. They are worn like a brace, giving them the option to be taken off.

Equipment

1970 Custom Black Cadillac El Dorado Fleetwood: the only thing he has left from his father. It was originally a piece of junk, but thanks to insurance money and some saved funds, it has been restored and customized. Skipping the enhancement's that only a motor head would understand the trunk of the car has been exceptionally made larger; in order to fit Mercy's many supplies. This car is more than transportation for him, it is also his home.


"Charlotte";Custom Liquor Flask: Affectionately named after his first crush: Charlotte, is a custom liquor flask. It is pretty average; the only customizations are a curvy outline of a woman on the front and upgraded max volume. Only one drink has ever filled the contents of this flask: Vodka.

Hi-Tech Time Piece: This was a gift from Mercy's old partner. It was used as an up-link to keep communication between them, but also has a number of other features:

Cell Phone: Your very average cell phone. Mercy isn't one that loves to talk, but was persuaded to get one of these things anyway. He has very few numbers stored and even fewer have his number. There is one thing he does love about the phone: snake, a game he so proudly holds the high score in. This isn’t that amazing seeing as he is the only one that plays it.

Weapons

Sawed Off Shotgun: Simple sawed off shotgun. Nothing special about this, except for the incredible power to fuck enemies up. He carries this in a holster on his back, but isn't often used, unless in crowds or on big foes.


Daggers: has a number of these stored, but keeps a few on person. These can be used for close quarter combat, but can be proficiently used as projectiles.


Bow: A custom made bow, forged out of the bones of a demon. It was made to handle special types of arrows. This is Mercy's weapon of choice, making this a weapon of mass destruction when in his hands. He has pin point accuracy with this, but recently had an infrared laser added.

Powers
Accelerated Healing: Heals slightly faster than the average human. Ex: A paper cut would heal instantaneously, broken bones would take only a few weeks.
Light Manipulation: Can bend, manipulate, and create pure light. His most common use for this, is create arrows of light.
Enhanced Physique: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, reflexes, bone density,endurance, etc. This is nothing to bat an eyelash at, but still something that makes him better than your average human.
Demonic Sensory: Can sense demon auras and presences.
High Tolerance: Has a high tolerance to poisons and other toxins. This is also the reason he can handle so much alcohol.
Adaptive Sight: Has the ability to see in areas of low light; has a much better vision altogether.

Bio/History
Unions between humans and angels are strictly forbidden! This explains why Aldara and George had to keep their relationship under wraps. Oddly enough, the two started off at each other neck, now they were partners turned lovers. Who were being punished for their crimes? The crime of conceiving a half breed child. It was decided that they would not have anything to do with their son and nothing to do with each other. To ensure this punishment would stick, it was made so that only a select few knew the truth. Everyone else would never know the connection between the three.

To some this seemed like they got off easy, but only those who have ever been in love would know the true pain of their punishment. But, they each were able to bestow gifts upon their child. His mother gave him his Angel heritage and his father gave him his talent for demon hunting skills and some equipment.
Percy Mathers was now an orphan, under the belief that they had both been murdered by demons. He was placed under the care of a secret organization known as The Blackguard.

The Blackguard aren't a group of demon hunters, but a group of scholars who are designated with mission of learning all there is to know about demons, as well as devloping defensive and offensive measures against them. However a small group of them are selected to be hunters. With inspiration from the deaths of his parents and their gifts, it made Percy the perfect candidate.

During his stay there, he decided he was an atheist, despite facts right in his face. He just couldn't believe in a god that had allowed a child to grow up without parents. Percy left the guard when he was 16. He had learned all there was to know; he was considered a prodigy among prodigies. It was also at this time he changed his name to Mercy Mathers. His reason being he thought Percy was weak sounding name.
The years on his own, were filled with killing and hunting demons. He had made a reputation for himself in the demon world as Heaven's Hitman. Even among humans he was feared, for he also killed any humans who had dealings with demons. But, life as a demon hunter is hard and is recommended you have a team or at least a partner. This made perfect sense to Mercy, but he wasn't exactly the safest guy to work with. His ruthless ways, created enemies who were just looking to hurt him anyway they could. Luckily for him there are some crazy people out there.

Thomason Screw, also known as Loose Screw, was a young technopath. He developed the name Loose Screw because he was a bit eccentric and therefore thought to have a few screws loose. When Mercy was 18 he found the 16 year old boy being thrashed about by some older kids. So after giving them all a severe beating, Thomason followed his savior around like a stray dog. Mercy had planned to kick the kid to the curb, but after he fixed his car, (which had been down for months) he deiced to keep him around.

Their partnership was classic, like Batman and Robin, Peanut Butter and Jelly; they were a perfect match. They slayed demons for 6 long years, until they were tragically separated. The two had gotten in over their head and things were looking grim. With a final cry, a demon had plunged his claws through the torso of Thomason. Witnessing this gave Mercy the burst of rage and energy he needed to kill of the remaining few.

As he stood over the limp body of his partner, there was a smile on his face. And with his last words, he gave Mercy some advice speaking of optimism and laughter. He figured if his friend could have happiness in death, then he could have happiness in life, no matter what it is he is doing.
