There's this weird feeling in Alice's chest almost as if it was trying to spring right out from her chest and it wan't going away. It was then, had the boy spun her around making her the beating of her heart race, pound, fiercely within her chest. However, it was when he had made this dip move and held her in his arms for a minute or two. Their faces were close and for a second Alice could have sworn that the world stopped evolving and everything had just stopped. The dancers weren't dancing there night away, the band weren't stroking there fingers on the strings of there banjo, the boy with the fox mask froze in mid, and her heart wasn't beating any more.
Nothing made a sound, and nothing moved. The world seem to have sped up again once the boy smiled at her and lifted Alice back up, and they were dancing again. "My name is not important milady as you said let this dance be the way to get to know each other down to the most miniature detail." he smiled another one of his stunning smiles as a hand softly stroked Alice's cheek. She noticed he was going to reveal himself, however, he instead moved his hand away. "I will tell you i hail from a far land. I am only here to visit the land before i am not longer able to." There was a hint of sorrow from his tone that Alice for sure hadn't missed.
'What did he mean by that?' She could only wonder.
"But today i live in the here and now, so I may have a wonderful memory when I leave and I believe I have thanks to you fair lady." Giving Alice one last twirl before the dance came to an end he returned Alice to where they had first met. "It seems my time has run out. I must bid thee farewell before i turn into a pumpkin." he said with a chuckle. However, Alice hadn't been paying any attention to him. It was her father, and one of his most trusted knight who had came out into the grand hall. They were exchanging low conversations with one another, but little did they know that Alice was observing in on everything they were saying.
"What is this about, Mr. Charles?" her father, King Fredrick Treyian, was saying.
"Well, we seem to have intruders amongst us, sir."
"Intruders! That is preposterous."
Charles shook his head. "I'm afraid not, sir. You see, we precisely had fifteen guards surrounding the castle to make sure that no one other than the Treyians attend at tonight's festivity. I'm afraid we are only down to nine. The others.." he looked around the room to make sure that no one was peeking in on the conversation. "...are dead, sir. We think we might have attackers somewhere in the castle."
King Treyian couldn't believe what he was saying. 'Fifteen guards to watch over the castle? Though, seven of which are dead?' It was outrageous. However, this only meant one thing. "Lock the gates. Find my wife, and daughters and return them up to there rooms where it's safe. No one is to get in or out. I want all knights that are available tonight to not blink an eye unless we find this intruder, and any other who have found the right to crash my party. Whether being Canter or Reynold. I want them found." After giving his orders, King Treyians was just about to take his leave until Charles stopped him.
"And what if we do find these intruders, sir. What shall we do then?"
King Treyian took a moment to ponder at the idea before he said, "Execute them."
Alice's mind raced with million's of questions in her head. She only looked up at the boy with the fox mask and said, "I know who you are."
