Description

Image
Name
Mordaunt "Glitch" Kor

Nickname, Moniker, Handle
Glitch, Mordred (There's only one person that knows of this moniker of his, and they call him that)

Age
24

Hair Color
n/a

Height
5'11"

Remaining Physical Description
One glance, and the average person will assume that that Mordaunt is a robot. His body nearly at the point of being completely mechanical through the means of extensive cybernetics and bionics, the only parts that are still human is his brain and spine, and even then, those are enhanced by augmentations. Over these obvious augmentations, he does wear a hoodie to cover what he would have as an equivalent of a face.

His internal organs, including his heart and lungs, are synthetic, created to continue pumping his "blood" to his brain. He had went overboard with the augmentations, even to the point of replacing his actual blood with an artifical substitute.

His outer shell, a dermal armor augmentation in itself, provides limited protection against small firearms, such as handguns and the like, but only to the point of escape, as prolonged damage will still pierce and damage his insides.

He had incorporated multiple gadgets within his arms, most of them to serve his position as a master hacker. The only weapon-based implants are two retractable wristblades, and even then, those are for last resort, as Mordaunt tries to stay out of combat as much as possible.

Gender
Male

Race
Is he human with machine parts, or is he machine with human parts? (Human, augmented)

Eye color
His eye color was formerly green, but after the ocular implants to include a thought-interactive Heads-Up Display, his so-called "eyes" are now yellow that turn red.

Weight
160 pounds

Natural Abilities
Strength - 5
Sure, the augmentations that he had undergone may have increased the strength of his limbs for him to do what he couldn't do before, but the augmentations weren't for strength, but for endurance. While he does know some "basic" combat, it's only for self defense, and his strength is still subpar to that of a security guard. He's built for intelligence and agility, after all.

Intelligence - 9
Borderline on a genius level, Mordaunt serves as the master hacker, and doubles as the group's engineer, for the Knights. Unfortunately for him, this high level of intelligence, along with the number of implants installed, has almost driven him to the brink of insanity a few times.

Agility - 5
He needs to be quick in order to keep himself from being caught by security!

Wisdom - 1
He may be smart, but he holds little to no common sense. This might be a negative result of having too many cognitive augmentations mixed with his high intelligence levels.

Health - N/A (for obvious reasons)
Over 90% of his body is nothing but bionics and cybernetic augmentations, leaving only his brain and spine as the only remaining portions of his once-human body. In this new body, health doesn't come across him as a concern. However, maintaining the implants has replaced that role.

Charisma - 1
He's the one who prefers to work behind the scenes, out of sight from everybody else, where he can play with his many gadgets and gizmos without having to speak with most people. During his "episodes" of insanity, he does become a bit unstable.

Magic and Magical Powers
Big Fat Zero

Biggest Strength
Mordaunt's strengths come into play when technology is the issue. Serving as both engineer and hacker, Mord knows just about everything about electronics, and how to fix it.

Also, the vast majority, if not all, of his implants are immune to EMP effects and electical shortcircuiting, as they're designed to respond to electrochemical responses, and this doesn't cover the fact that they're also hardened against such attacks.

Biggest Flaws
Because of the number of implants and augmentations, both cybernetic and bionic, that he had installed, he tends to become unstable at times, and is required to have a special serum injected in order to regain control of his mental thought processes.

The second flaw that Mordaunt has to face now is being treated less than a human, even worse than those who had been augmented themselves, due to the number of implants. This could be a possible reason of why he stays away from people.

Important Relationships
He is the Knights' engineer, and most importantly, master hacker

Important Dates/Moments(birthdays, first kiss, etc.)
2210: Joined the Knights

2206 (December 31): The first successful hacker to bypass the firewalls of Le Fey Corporation and sending a prank video of a puppy.

2206(March): Underwent extensive cybernetic and bionic implantation surgery.

So begins...

"Unfortanutely, no news on my end. I haven't heard anything besides hopeful whispers. Your...Pendragon lead is all we have to work with at this moment." Gawain replied to Merlin. She let out sigh of frustration, the seemingly endless search continued on with little hope. But, there was hope none the less, and they would continue to press on.

Finding other Knights was generally easier, their memories had a tendency to reawaken and some invisible force always drew them to other Knights or to Merlin. Usually, a Knight finding Merlin would be the best case. The mystic was better equipped to explain the cosmos, time, magic, and the general obscurities of reincarnation. Why me? Why now? The old man (and old was most likely an understatement) just understood the confusion. Their small Knighthood was growing in numbers, but their sheer size wouldn't do anything to revolutionize the times against the Le Fey- only the King would be able to bring about a true difference.

She spotted Galahad skipping their way, asking what they were talking about. He may have been young, but he still had sharp eyes and good instincts. Generally, Gawain liked children, but she had a special affinity for Galahad. It may have been because they were connected in their past lives but she felt protective over the wee Knight. There was all kinds of knowledge stored in his mind, memories unlocked, and it was her duty as past live friend/present life mentor, to help him reach his potential. Gawain ruffled his hair again and winked. "Seems like Merlin found us a new lead and we have a name. Heard of anybody named Pendragon?"

Gawain didn't hear many names because of poor social connections- she was usually too busy tearing apart a new machine or looking over blue prints. However, Galahad was on the streets interacting with people every day, his ears were sharp he may have heard something.

"If not, don't worry Galahad. I'm sure we can...try to run a search in the database...it'll be a long shot though..."

A really long shot. Equivalent to birth certificates, many people in this day and age were registered to the population database. New baby born? All the details were recorded. Common practice for the wealthy and middle class society, but harder for the poor. Technology was hard to come by in the district and hospitals seemed to be much more rare- babies were born in slums, and the first priority was their first initial survival, not registering them into the society database. From what it sounded like, this Pendragon character may have been born on the streets (Merlin did refer to him as a street urchin) and the chances of him having any kind of records on file were slim to none.

"We can always call Glitch- er, Sir Mordaunt" Gawain corrected herself, she wanted to set a polite example for Galahad and calling other Knights by their nick names wasn't the best start, "We can have Mordaunt begin the search." Gawain explained.

Glitch would, more then likely, be at headquarters already tapping away on a keyboard.... Probably trying to hack into some source of information. Running a search for a person wouldn't even make Glitch blink- if he could blink?- he could do it in his sleep-if he did sleep?- The point of the matter being: it would be a very simple task, like breathing (God, Gawain thought, did he even BREATHE!? The man was covered in cybernetics from head to toe...most likely literally) for Glitch. Computers were a second nature to the both of them.

While the rest of the "family" were out chasing after an unknown variable of their fight to reclaim the Imperial City, this Pendragon, Mordaunt had charged himself with keeping the headquarters company... security detail, if one would like to call it that, but that was the "reason" that he gave to the others.

The chambers that he had situated himself in, the knight's "room of operations", was cylindrical in nature, seemingly centered around a sphere which was tethered from the ceiling with three main support beams. This... sphere is none other than the very core that houses the organization's "Excaliber System", designed by Mordaunt himself (along with some tech borrowed from the LeFay Corporation) to locate this certain Pendragon, out of the millions of citizens living in both the Imperial City and the Outer City, even among those who aren't recorded.

I designed this system, I wrote the programs, so why does it keep crashing on me?! Glitch thought to himself, as he meticulously searched through thousands of logs, looking for what kept crashing the system, his mechanical body physically connected to the system via a wireless signal as he spun himself around in a chair, near the Round Table, the Knights' table for discussion their operations.

A good ten minutes passed, and as he replaced the last of some faulty coding that was seemingly used by the "borrowed" tech, the system had immediately swirled to life once more, thousands of names scrolling down through the eyes of Mordaunt, his mind scanning the database until it finally stopped on a name...

Aleixandre Jean Arthur Lamarque
PENDRAGON: 97.67542% Match...

Seeing the name, Mordaunt instantly stopped spinning and drew up a visual holographic map of the city from the center of the table, amazed that the system had also accurately pinpointed the Variable's location, as well as a good four or five blips, each representing a knight, blinking nearby - a good fifty yards sense of nearby...

Noticing that this must be the person that they've been looking for this whole time, and from the looks of it, the others had probably already found him, Mordaunt attempted to contact the wizard through a secured channel on the city's network.

"This is Mordaunt. Just finished repairing a glitch with the system, and well, if you're wanting confirmation, I have a 97.5 percent match that you're standing in the same room as Pendragon."

Cutting the connection before he received any response, he proceeded to open up another secure channel, one that was heavily encrypted, to Gawain with a simple message.

"Tag. You're it, pass it on."

Of the other knights, Mordaunt had a better connection with Gawain, as the two shared a strong interest in computers and technology, an easier medium for the two to communicate and translate to each other. He still laughs about "her" gender identity crisis, while she would make the occasional glitch joke about him.

But at least he can still be recognized as a male.

"This is Mordaunt. Just finished repairing a glitch with the system, and well, if you're wanting confirmation, I have a 97.5 percent match that you're standing in the same room as Pendragon."

Gawain froze hearing this. She knew Mordant had sent this via Merlin's private communication, but the Lady had a tendancy to tap into his private lines on occasion. It may have been his old age, or maybe he was getting hard of hearing, or maybe Merlin just didn't like technology, but the wizard had a hard time with the communication lines and sometimes entirely missed important messages. So, as a safety precaution, Gawain hooked up to his line to make sure he got everything he needed. At least the old bat knew how to throw her off his communications when he needed it be absolutely private.

Still, Gawain stood frozen, her eyes looking at Merlin in utter shock. "You heard that, right?" She asked the wizard. She needed confirmation that what she heard was not a glitch in the system...She winced, pardon the pun Mordaunt, Gawain thought. Regardless, poor pun or not, she wanted to make sure she wasn't hearing things. She did hear that correctly. The name, the high match rate...a confirmation.

This Pendragon lead seemed to be the real deal...And Galahad was with them. Oh sweet mercy, she thought, at least there was a knight with their King. This would making things easier, they would be breaking the news with familiar faces...Not some whack job strangers.

Her personal line beeped.

Lady Gawain rolled up her sleeve and the long, rectangular screen on her arm flashed- indicating she had a message. Gawain was not fond of ear pieces, she had a tendency to loose them. Instead she fashioned herself a small, arm length, tablet. She designed it to thin and bend along the lines of her body, small keys were below the screen where she could type, but the screen was wide enough to display blue prints, or visual communications if the situation arise.

It took her only a moment to decode the encrypted message that Mordaunt sent to her. The two knights got along just fine, had a comfortable relationship. Mordaunt, even in his previous life, was a bit of social recluse...But in this life, he almost defined the term. He was lost to technology, and it was hard for many of the knights to understand him- whether it was because they didn't understand technology, or Mordaunt in general. Fortunately, Gawain was great with tech in this time- she able to form a special kind of technical bond with the other knight, allowing her to understand him in way other knights would just never comprehend.

On the other hand, Gawain had always been the easy going kind of person- female or male, it mattered not- she made few enemies, and many liked her. She was a bit of social lite, smiled easily, and drew a crowd around her if she felt like it- but she believed in privacy, and when she craved to be alone she retreated to her computer or workshop. Something she and Mordaunt could relate to. The fact that Gawain understood tech, and the solace it could bring, along with her laid back personality, allowed her to become good friends with Mordaunt.

They even joked about each other, insulted each other, like good friends do.

"Tag. You're it, pass it on." Was his message to her.

Gawain quickly tapped on her screen and replied with, "Can you get a steady track on Galahad, he's the knight with Pendragon. Why don't you come out and play?"

She encrypted the message, sending it back to the other tech-knight.

"It looks like we have a hit, gentlemen. According to Mordaunt, our Pendragon lead is 97% match. It's the best we've had yet! Mordaunt is working on a track for Galahad, we can zone in better this way. For now, let's move in their general direction." Lady Gawain spoke to Merlin and Percival.

Before they could reply, her skirts had swished and she ran down the street toward the general direction of where Galahad had gone.

With the Excaliber System now running at full power, Mordaunt had received full vision of where the knights and the so-called King were located. As his fingers typed away meticulously, a connection pinged, one of his communication links had opened up.

"Can you get a steady track on Galahad, he's the knight with Pendragon. Why don't you come out and play?"

It was from Gawain, the other tech-knight of the group. Opening up the link fully, he had a simple reply:

Already ahead of you on that. I'm no miracle worker, but Galahad is not the only knight with our Pendragon. I've also picked up Guin's location, and she's with them. There's also a couple of unknown variables in the immediate location, so be careful.

After sending the message, he had quickly began to extract the necessary information regarding the two knights' locations as well as the location of Pendragon, and included it with another quick private message to Gawain.

Sending you the coordinates now.
