Publicly, she's well known for being a part of the Kardashian clan, but she was raised by her father more than her mother, really. And by "her father", I mean her real father, not the one who the world thought, for so long, was her father. Yes, the tabloids are true -- Bruce/Caitlin isn't her biological father. She was born to Kris Jenner and Phil Knight, a couple who were never really a real couple. Kris stepped out on Bruce a couple of times after the birth of their daughter Kendall, and that was how Kylie was created. For the past seventeen years, outside of their inner circle, no one knew that Kylie had a different father, and everyone intended on keeping it that way. It became more difficult when she was nine, and her sister's sex tape was leaked which prompted the start of their reality telveision show's climb. Before this time, she spent five days a week with her mother (which usually actually meant Bruce or a nanny), and two days a week with Phil and Owen. Once the show began, however, her mother's focus completely, and without an attempt to hide it, switched over to her three older sisters.
Phil was adamant that he didn't want Kylie involved in the show, and she and Kendall barely were for a while, but he still didn't like it.
