The World, 3017 A.D.

"Allen!" Nella cried as her brother hit his knees. "What's wrong with him?"

Zethya was about to answer, but froze. there was a grim look on her face and two blue wings unfurled themselves from her back. Nella stared at them. "You...you really are an angel..."

"Yes, I am, now stay put, keep silent, and most importantly, don't leave this room!" She shot out of the window, landing on the street below. She glared in the direction that the dark energy had come from. "You will not get these children, Mystery!"

Kameron followed Lily's lead and once again let Michael consume him. He took flight and found his way to the others. He landed softly, his wings disappearing. He worked his way up the stairs, not bothering with the front desk attendent. He opened the door where he knew everyone was at as he felt a cold shiver go down his spine. Mystery! His senses screamed. He slammed the door open and found Zethya flying out the window. "So they know?" Kameron asked, with haste. Kameron's instinct led him to Nella. "I know my sister didn't tell you this, but I'm your protecter, I'm your gaurdian."
Demitri also went to help Allen. He was kneeling at his side, an arm wrapped around him reassuringly. "Come on buddy." He said, also feeling a strong level of pain growing on his forehead. "What's going on?" He asked Lily, Luriel. Whoever it was. The Zethya girl had said that Lily was his Watcher. Or Protecter. Or whatever. Whatever that meant.

"They know, for the most part. They are still in denial!" Zethya shouted to her brother. Nella took one look at Kameron, and did a double-take. It was the boy she had dreamed about before, but had never seen in real life. Finaly, Nella snapped.

"This is not happening! I don't know what any of you are talking about, we are not going to help God or whoever bring an end to some war, and we don't have powers, we're just four orphans who happen to be born on the same day with the same birthmarks!" Nella got louder the longer she went on, and her cross began glowing brighter and brighter. She snapped a hand to her forehead as she fell to the floor, the pain too much. As she curled into the fetal position, she heard Kameron or Michael or whoever he was call out her name, and then all she could see was light. Nella's body was glowing.

She woke up, clothed in a long white robe, surrounded by nothing but white. Nella looked around. "Hello?"

Hello, Daughter...

Nella jumped at the voice. "Who's there? Who are you?"

You know Me...you must embrace your powers...you and your brother especially of the four. Light and Darkness are the two most important...

"But why? Why us? Why are we so special...?"

I chose you...that is all. Now return, Nella...they need you...

"Wait, no, I still don't-" It was too late, Nella snapped back into reality, Kameron kneeling over her. Her cross was still glowling, as were her hands.

Jake swooped down onto the scene to meet with the other angels; he had been busy elsewhere when an instinct told him he was needed. He landed heavily on a nearby roof with a soft grunt, wings spread wide. He only sensed three of four chosen. Could he have been too slow?

“I trust that I am not too late?” He said, scanning the area in front of him. It did not appear like there had been any fighting yet.
“What’s the situation?” He called to Zethya.

Kameron watched Nella come back to consciousness. "I'm going to have to ask you to trust me." He said to her, as he knelt over her. Her hands glowing like bright stars. "And I'm going to have to ask you to put that out." He said, covering her hands.
Demitri watched Nella pass out, then wake up, then start glowing. What the...? He wondered to himself. He put a hand up to his forehead. He left Allen and went over to be with Nella. "Are you okay?" He asked, taking her hands away from the other boy. Demitri put his hand back up to his forehead, giving Nella a look that had a mixture of worry, confusion and shock.

Lily walked over to Demitri. She knelt down beside him and stared at him with a calming look. She smiled in a relaxed way. She put her hand on his arm, then took it off and stood over him. She hadn't spoken yet. She would rather talk through actions at the time. She would speak eventually, but not until she needed to. She was a quiet creature and always had been.
She looked down at the boy. So I'm protecting this one... she thought.

Demitri jumped as someone's hand touched his arm. He looked over to see Lily with a hypnotic calmness about her. He looked into her eyes for... something, only finding even more of a safe haven in there. He closed his eyes and leaned back against the wall. "So, according to what I've gathered, the four of us: Nella, Allen, Rain, and I; have these powers that can... what? What are we supposed to do? Fight God's war? I thought that's what the angels were for." Demitri said, still skeptical.

Lily sighed and shook her head. She began to walk away. She spoke for the first time now. There was something sweet in her voice, yet she had an air of elegance as she spoke. "We angels are here to protect you. I can't believe that even after what you've seen you still are skeptical about what we told you," She stopped and turned to face him. "Or, perhaps the reason you feel this way is because you feel in your hearts what we've told you to be true. Now ask yourself something, if you aren't the chosen, then why are we here?"

Allen felt himself change everything was becoming dark he was gasping for breath his black cross spearding turning him into a shadow form of himself darkness coming from his mouth "What's happening?!" he blacked out he woke up he was still a shadow he was surrounded by darkness he stood up he saw a very large dark being the shape of a man with white eyes he said
"Son I need you to fight for me." the shadow just stood there un moving
Allen was still a shadow he yelled out "Why the hell should I help you and why the hell am I like this?" his cross was visable it was a differnt color
The voice was unchanged "You will change your mind your sister will help you decide and your powers well you will find out on your own."
Allen rubbed his head "Nella does pick what I should do I trust her she is the only life I have and my powers as you said will they just come to me?"
The figure said "Yes you will know what to do it will come to you."
Allen sighed "Fine well can I go back now?"
The figure nodded then Allen was sucked into darkness again and woke up he was still a shadow his eyes white his cross gone but still there he looked around "Whoa I had a crazy dream guys."

"What do you mean, put it out, I don't even know how I'm doing it!" Nella said franticaly, shaking her hands.

Zethya looked up at her brother. "Jake...Mystery is headed this way. We need to move Light, Darkness, and Emotion. I'm sorry, Dreams appears to be missing...we shall search for her after we get the other three out of harms way."

Allen stood up darkness pouring from his mouth "Whats going on guys?" he still didn't know he was a shadow.

((Allen, not Alex. Sorry to be a pinprick, but it would appear to me it's that way for a reason. Allen and Nella are twins and when one is spelled backwards, it spells the other's name. I don't wish to seem like a jerk, but it's just bothers me.))
Demitri listened to Lily. She had a very beautiful voice and he was once again mesmerized by her. This time, so much that the pain on his forehead increased and he fell asleep.
Demitri opened his eyes to see a lush, green landscape. In the distance, he could see more though. Past the pasture in which he stood, was endless miles of burnt feilds. Demitri's mouth fell open. No landscape should suffer this kind of destruction. "Like it?" A voice behind him asked. Demitri jumped around to see a man looking at him, expecting an answer.
"Did you do this?" Demitri asked.
"No. But you can stop this from happening. Because if it happens, even this little feild won't be lush, Son."
"Why are you showing me this?"
"I'm not. You're showing yourself. The landscape the others see will also be affected by their power."
"Apparently I can control emotions, right? So I see that destruction in order to affect my emotions?" Demitri quizzed.
"To a point, yes. You see this landscape because that is what has been decided would most relate to your power." He answered.
"What do you want from me?"
"I want you to help me win a war I can't fight on my own."
"What am I supposed to do? Control people's emotions so that they don't believe in the Devil."
"Yes. And no. You can control the emotions of the people around you when Mystery is near."
"Mystery? Mystery... I've heard that. That Zethya girl, she mentioned her. Who is she?"
"Mystery is a women. She feeds off of the bad emotions of the people around her and she feeds the Dragon with them. Now I've said enough. Go back." He said. He pushed on Demitri sending him back to consciousness.
"Whoa, I had a crazy dream guys." Allen was saying. Yeah, tell me about it...

Demitri stood up. "We have names, you know." Demitri looked to Zethya, not that she could she his expression. "And we might appreciate that you use them if you're going to be with us for awhile." He said. "Anyways, Zethya's right. I just had a crazy dream too. God was there. He told me a little bit about Mystery. And we should move." Little did Demitri know that vines had worked their way around his wrists and flowers grew on them. His cross glowing slightly.

((What better to affect someone's emotions than flowers, huh?))

"I apologize Demitri, but it is Zuriel who refuses to use your names, not I." She spun, and walked over to Allen, helping him up. She hovered in the air behind him, and picked him up, carrying him. "Michael, Luriel, let's go!" She took off, carrying Allen through the air. Nella spun and faced Kameron "Where is she taking my brother?!"

Alex yelled "Hey let me go I can leave with out help put me down!" he was yelling at her has she picked him up

Kameron grabbed Nella and held onto her. "Nowhere you're not going." He said, transforming. His broad white wings spread from his back, his dark clothing changing to the white clothes that Michael much prefered. He too took flight, following his Zuriel closely.
Demitri almost started to freak out. "Wait, what's going on now?" He asked.

"Hey!!" Nella yelled out in surprise as Kameron/Michael picked her up.

Zuriel laughed. "Not where we are going can you get there on you're own! Now, quit squirming hun, or I'm going to drop you."

Michael had just caught up to Zuriel as she said, "Now, quit squirming hun, or I'm going to drop you." Michael laughed. "Yeah, that be a good idea" He said, while still chuckling. Saying that, he got a tighter grip on Nella.

Mystery moved into the shadows with a grin so wicked it was tempting to men and women alike. She laughed, and sent a blast of dark energy at any who dare be in the path of it. Her laughter was a high shriek. She started taking in energy of fear and rage, their were humans around after all. Her mind whirled with outcomes and things to do, but even she knew that they would figure things out quickly enough. Mystery once more began collecting energy from within herself, ready for anyone who dared come near her. She after all had the dragon for a protector, and if he didn't how much power he would lose from her death, it was sickening, but it brought much glee to know even in her own death if possible that she could bring misery to such a powerful being. Another shriek of laughter left her lips,"Come to play have we, such dirty guardians, low and defiled by the things they must protect and live with."

Allen huffed he was still a shadow he looked down at himself "Oh great I look so weird like this what else can I do?"

"Focus your mind on your original form." Zethya said with a smile as they landed. They were at what looked like a normal office building. She turned to her brother. "Michael, if you would please." Only Michael and Remiel could open the building. Luriel and Zuriel didn't have the ability. Nella hit the ground softly, and stared at her brother. "What are you? Fog?"

Michael walked over to the building. What appeared to a human to be just a regular wall, was really and quite discreet entrance. He pushed on a few bricks in a certain sequence. Nothing happened. "Looks like Father changed the code..." Michael said, with a hint of amusement behind his voice. He tried a different sequence. As he touched the last brick, his hand slipped through the wall. "But he did happen to give me a spare key." He turned and smiled, motioning for everyone to walk through.
Demitri was struggling again when he was about to land. He was deathly afraid of heights. About a meter off the ground, he slipped and fell. "Oww..." He said, as he sat up. He fell on his butt, then back, but somehow his back hurt more. He stood up to see Kameron/Michael working on a wall. "You guys realize that's a wall, right?" He said. Not a full second after, Demitri watched Michael's hand slip through a brick. "Or not." He said.

Allen looked over to her "What are you? A firefly?"

Nella rolled her eyes. "Thanks." She shoved her hands in her pockets, not knowing what else to do.

Zethya smiled as she pulled in her wings. "Come, you three." Nella, Allen, and Demitri were ushered inside. After a few barks, a gian grey wolf came running up to them. "Peace, Bakashi, I'm happy to see you as well." Zethya said happily. "Kameron, Lily, you can show Demitri and Nella to their rooms. Allen, if you'll follow me..." She started walking off. It was odd, seeing as she was blind, that she didn't use a cane, or feel her way around. She just walked.
