A talented but troubled young girl who has all but given up on life.
Andi used to be a creative, happy, and caring girl who loved the stage. Now she is still creative, still loves the stage and perfaps you could even say she is still caring, deep down, but she can't really be considered happy.
She never gets very excited about anything, except acting but even that doesn't excite her as much as it used to, she always seems to be depressed. She is the definition of a "downer", she is falling into darkness and she is dragging all those close to her along with her. She is on the edge. Rage and greif are destroying her. Her heart is shattered, and there is no one left to pick up the peices. The only light she has left is her performing, but soon even that may not help. She is fading.
diary, her player's tools- puppets, props and such
Andi was born in Manhatten, and grew up in Brooklin. She was named after her grandmothers but changed her name as fast as she could. Her father was a renouned Chemist, and her mother a talented photographer and sketch artist. She was intelligent and by the time she was five, bilingual. Her mother was French. Andi loved acting and performed in every play that was available to her. She was happy. Her little brother Blake also brought a light to her eyes, he was so smart, and very insightful for his age. He spoke like a poet, beautifully. When their parents would fight he always found a solution no matter how simple. Blake was the center of the Alper's world, in Andi's mind. Both children were brilliant, they went to one of the best private schools in Brooklin and excelled. Andi was a budding ingenue, and Blake was well on his way to being a great philosopher. Their father of course wanted them to become doctors and lawyers.
Then one day their whole world was turned upside down. It was a slightly overcast day in May when Blake waved goodbye to Andi and made to go see his friend on the other side of the street. It was the last time the 10-year old said anything. The driver hadn't been paying attention and his mistake ripped apart the Alper's family.
Andi's father left her and her mother never to be heard of again, and Andi's mother might as well have left all together. Unable to cope she fell into dispair and became silent, always sketching, sketching pictures of the same face.
Andi just became a shadow. Depression made her sick. The doctor prescribed drugs for her, but they didn't work. In her opinion they made it worse. But at least the illusions she saw without them went away. She was soon able to live again, but she was different.
While on an errand to get somethings for her mother, Andi found a strange leather bound diary. She became enthralled with it, reading non-stop about a player in the French Revolution.
