Benchmarks & Vulnerabilities: Statick's greatest strengths are his quick thinking and his rapier wit. With his constant chiding he is able to throw his opponents off guard, leaving them open to attack, he is also capable of great inventiveness with his powers, using them in different ways to achieve specific effects. Whilst Statick is capable of extraordinary speeds, the strain of attaining his top speeds puts his body under so much stress that he runs the risk of heart attack or stroke if sustained for a prolonged period. Statick is also vulnerable to the effects of friction. As such, when his powers first manifested, a vast amount of his flesh was burnt terribly. The pain of this can often distract Statick from anything happening around him.
Personality: For the most part, Statick is a taciturn and isolated man. He does not allow himself to get close to people and uses venomous wit as a defense mechanism.
Origin/Background: Statick has, for the last 8 years, been in the custody of the American government, studied for his remarkable abilities. Little is known about his past before the incident that has become known as "Statick Shock" by some of the gaudier newspapers, the day when the young man's powers blazed into life on a sleepy, suburban street, leaving Statick with hideous burns and scarring across a vast portion of his body which causes him constant agony. Upon investigation during his 8 year internment, it was determined that Statick's powers come from a unique form of bio-electrical impulse travelling throughout his body. These impulses have caused the development of rare musculature allowing for enhanced reflexes and speed, and also account for the "bio-static" aspect of his powers.
The noted physicist, Dr. Phineas Leyfield was subsequently brought in to build what became known as the 0-F exo-suit, also known as the Zero Friction prototype. Made from a classified substance, the suit protects the wearer from the effects of friction at incredible speeds, however it has been hypothesized that at a great enough speed, the substance that composes the suit could be rendered inert.
The hazy past of Statick has led to much intrigue, with some, less reputable sources even claiming a British edge to the hero's accent, however the government has been quick to point out the ridiculousness of these rumours.
Theme Song: Thunderstruck by AC/DC
Appearance: Due to the extensive scarring of his flesh, Statick can at all times be found wearing the 0-F exo-suit provided for him by the government. The suit is a matte black colour that almost seems to absorb the majority of light that hits it, leaving Statick with a somewhat hazy outline.
