Shape-changer
Marie is as varied in emotion as she is in faces; she struggles with trust issues, low self-esteem, competitiveness, and a tinge of pride (if from nothing more than old habit). Very much a lone-wolf, she is still compassionate enough to care while cautious enough to have limits. In a way, Marie can be summed up in that she demands respect from others while holding none for herself.
A duffel bag of belongings are all she has at any given time, though the contents of said bag tend to change week by week. A small tool kit (including tools for picking locks), a flash light, emergency rations, bed roll, first aid, a set of silverware, a swiss army knife, matches, a few sets of clothing(in varied sizes), and a decent amount of cash is about the usual load.
As a child, Marie was very proud and haughty; her perfect looks, ability in sports, and well-known singing voice were greatly admired by her small town. Her gifts, too widespread to seem to have any Transcederi-like origins, made her only more prideful; simply "true talents", she had called it. Upon finding her gift for what it was, however, Marie fell into a deep depression, distraught by the thought of her life being a lie. Running away from the small town at the age of 17, she's led a vagabond life ever since, using her gift to trick and steal others for her food, clothing, transportation, and temporary lodgings. After holding the Transcenderi in such high disdain for most of her life--the very idea of her origin and power still inspires occasional self-loathing--she remains in an emotional limbo as to whether she should support their movement or simply fend for herself.
