Setting
Most of the rest of the province is perfect for farming, and this is what it has been turned over to, in great estates that stretch beyond the horizons, and this fertile land is the reason for the area???s incorporation into the Empire.
For a few weeks in late summer, most of Myrantia turns gold and the roads become clogged with thousands of wagons, as the harvest ripens and is gathered in. Supply lines from Coldharbour, where the harvest is gathered, stretch to the Imperial City itself, as well as other crucial locations.
Coldharbour iself is a large and extremely influential city, and due to its location on the mouth of the Border River and being the primary seaport of the Empire on the Occident Ocean, rather belies its name.
It has the largest native merchant marine in the Empire, and is a primary base of the Dark Fleet. It receives vast amounts of foodstuffs and woollen crafts from its own province, as well as fish catches, and goods from the miners, smiths and woodcutters of Richese for distribution.
Its name is merely a reference to the fact that the province it is capital of is colder than Imperial Home; Coldharbour belies its name rather than living up to it in many ways. Its docks, wharves and marinas bulge with trading ships. It also hosts the yearly Royal Horse Fair, when the nomads of the Silver Marches drive their herds down from the steppes and to the city for thousands of prospective buyers.
