Student Reputation: He is often approached by other musicians within the school and asked to do collaborations, or join bands, but often refuses collaborations and has never been seen playing in a full band. The otakus know him for going into fan boy mode after watching any of his favourite fantasy anime series. Almost everyone who knows Masaru knows he has a long term goal of setting up his own on-line record label so doesn't play publicly, as that way he wont get bothered by talent scouts from other record labels.
Staff Reputation: Most of the teachers are baffled by Masaru, as he finds reading sheet music easier than reading text books. The only teachers who aren't surprised are his music teachers. He is commonly in trouble with the basketball teacher as he has a tendency to skip his lesson and either hang out at the music department, go straight to the Anime / Manga Club straight after ninth period, or go home early.
