S T Y L ELany likes to refer to his style as “gothic chic”. He wears black often, or darker colors such as red or deep purples. There's truly no reason for it aside from the fact he likes how these tones look on him. He does often accent with accessories. Usually this consists of a bracelet or two, earrings or a simple necklace. He sometimes will wear eye makeup, though it’s usually subtle enough to go unnoticed. His go to outfits will normally consist of black skinny jeans, a T-shirt and a pair of vans or converse. His hair however, stands it contrast to his clothes as it is usually a bright hue, not necessarily always natural. He has often experimented with different hair colors, usually through the use of potions, and has since decided his natural black is a bit too bland for his personality.

There’s no denying that Lany is a handsome boy. For starters, he’s tall, standing at a solid six feet, zero inches. His skin is fair, and strikingly smooth to the point where it seems to glow. His features, though very handsome, are quite unique. His eyes are big and curious, ranging from a dark chocolate to a milk chocolate brown depending on the lighting. They’re framed by long, dark lashes and a pair of thick dark brows that often depict how he’s feeling. His lips are plump and smooth, contrasting greatly against his sharp jawline. As for his body, Lany stays fit. He doesn’t often flaunt it, but it’s apparent when he wears sleeveless shirts or any shirt that’s a just the right amount of tight. One of his most distinguishing feature is his ears, which can be considered big but have been referred to as cute many times before so he’s no longer self-conscious about them like he used to be. The other being his naturally pouty lips. He often gets complimented on them. Some people have even gone as far as asking him what potion he used to get them to look so plump and perfect, however Lany was born with large features and his lips just happened to be one of them.

If there's anything to be said about Lany's personality, it's that he's one of the easiest people to get along with, and one of the most genuine boys that you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. He's a lively one, no doubt about it. Seemingly never running out of energy. Lany lives every day as if it were his last, leaving no room for regrets or could-have-beens. Some may perceive him as bit unruly and wild, but he likes to view himself as being bold and daring. Admitedly, he is a bit of a wild child. Constantly pushing boundries and bending rules, but never actually breaking them. It's both one of his best and worst traits that people either love or hate him for.
He's a goofball, always looking for the best ways to get smiles out of those around him even if it implies making a fool of himself. He's a skilled mood-maker, capable of getting a chuckle out of even the most uptight pureblood snobs. He's got a knack for transforming opinions, whether it be about himself or about others. Lany has never found it necessary to dwell on those that happen to dislike him, nor will he ever go out of his way to change their mind. However, in due time those that say they don't care for him find themselves caring a lot more than they initially thought. He's comparable to a song you may not like at first, but the more you listen to and analyze it, the more your love and appreciation for it grows until it eventually becomes a favorute. Lany's carefree and optimistic way of living has managed to pull him, as well as others, out of the darkest of moods.
On occasions he can be a bit rightous, always looking to do what’s right by his own morals. His compassion can go a very long way. He’s a kind soul, owner of one of the biggest hearts in the academy. Most will seek him for support, mostly emotional but also physical. Lany isn’t anything if not a caregiver. Though he can be as stubborn as a mule and refuses to ask for help or admit when something is just a bit too much for him to handle on his own. He’s always been the indepenent one in his family, refusing to let others do anything for him unless it is physically impossible for him to do it himself. His head strong and independent streak is what often lands him in trouble, but it’s also what keeps his kind heart protected for those looking to take advantage of him. And let’s not forget his involuntary habit of flirting. Whether he means it or not is dependent on the person being flirted with, but Lany isn’t one to shy away from feelings when he likes someone. Not is he afraid to compliment others when he finds them to be absolutely gorgeous.
His social skills are almost polished to perfection, his sense of loyalty and compassion towards others often has him standing in the line of fire for those he cares deeply for, and his broad sense of humor makes up a big part of who he is on the daily. However, these tend to overshadow a part of Lany that not is just as important. His intelligence. Known as the imfamous clas clown, people often fail to take him seriously. What most don't know or realize is that Lany is one of the most intelligent students at the academy. This can easily be proven by his ability to learn at a high speed, his impecable marks in every one of his classes despite the fact he doesn't study half as much as many others with his grades do.He's got a photographic memeory, and his best subjects tend to be some of the most complex. He's got a rather high IQ and often puts it to use. This is something most are shocked to find, due to the fact that Lany never boasts or grabs about his skills. He sees no point in it, but rather uses his time to lift spirirts, crack smiles and enjoy every second of life to the best of his abilities.

Lany's relationship with his father had not always been the best. When he was younger, given his wild nature and lack of respect for authority he would often be scolded by his dad. At the time, young Lany thought of it as him not caring about him. But as time went on, the boy began to realize it was precisely because his father loved him that he wanted to teach him these things that would allow him to become a better adult. After Lany's mother died, his relationship with his father strengthened to the solid bond that it is now.

Lany absolutely ADORED his mother. She was beautiful, brilliant, caring, loving, all the things Lany always strived to be. She always made sure to take care of him, as well as his brother and father, while being strong and independent. Having to watch her go from this superwoman Lany knew her as, to nothing more than a thin body laying on a bad was one of the hardest things Lany has ever had to face.

Lany and Jasper weren't always the best of friends. Especially when Lany was younger and a bit too unruly for Jasper to handle. They bickered often as siblings did, and a few times even got into physical fights. Now that they're older, they still bicker often but will jump at the chance at being there for one another. Lany loves his brother, and he knows the latter feels the same even if it's difficult for him to say it in words. His actions tell Lany all he needs to know.

Lany has always been skilled in anything having to do with science. Anywhere from Astronomy, to Physics to Chemistry and so on. He will more than likely excel in anything having to do with these subjects. Aside from that, he's come to be very versatile when it comes to languages. He can easily learn any language thrown at him. As it stands he speaks a total of four including English, Latin, Greek, and Mandarin. But above all, Lany likes to say he has a knack for lifting spirits, in the figurative sense. He always seems to know what to say or do to transform into a smile and get rid of the foul of moods.
