It's a dark time in the Karo Village demon have been takeing ladys and eating them wile the princess/prince *someone can be it* sits back people call them a coward but there has to be a reason a lowly pesant girl *me :p* is about the only one that belives in him/her and since she's part demon she is trated roughly no matter how kind the person but she countinues to smile........

History~ the demons were friends with the humans till the demon lord *has to be a boy and someone can be it* sent a war on the humans and we're still fighting after 4 years...

Kai returns the princess's greeting respectfully. He stands quietly as the girl sends her servants away. His discipline of which he was so proud of a moment ago fails him as the princess bows and thanks him. In shock he takes a few steps back, breathing deeply to recover. In response to her thanks he stammers out his regaining confidence with every word, "N-N-No need to thank me. I did what I did for almost entirely selfish reasons." He returns to being quite as the princess and a priestess exchange a few words. During this exchange he returns to his professional demeanor. Once the priestess leaves the princess ask what he had wished to speak with her about before. Responding he says, "Highness I ask that you do not address me as 'sir' I am neither old or experienced enough to be addressed in such a manner. Please call me Kai, or Ronin instead, everyone else does. As for what I wished to speak about, well I wished to know if the rumors that the village was besieged by demons was true. As I have seen they clearly are." He waited silently for the princess to respond.

After another few moments he says, " Princess, I would be honored to serve in what ever capacity you require of me. Kai became somewhat discouraged by the princess's evaluation of her other guards. He hoped that he would not have any trouble with them, but that was a matter for another time. As the Princess Suzuna walked past him as she does he say, "I would not have accepted if I thought I would fail you." Following at a respectful distance behind the princess he notices the priestess approach her. After exchanging a brief word with her the princess continues down the hall. As he walks by the priestess he says to her, "There is no need to be concerned for the princess while I am around. I am the princess's blade now and she may wield me as she sees fit." He follows the princess down the hall awaiting her orders.

The priestess follows them "She better not get hurt in any way, on you watch" She said before being called somewhere else, she gave him one last look before running off "Don't worry about her she is always, worrying about me" Suzuna said with a small smirk on her face, I have nothing to do today, so you free to roam around the castle, or you can follow me around" She said walking upstairs ignoring the guards that stood in the halls "Be careful, though with some of the guards some of them are demon's and I don't know if they have plans to try and kill me yet" She said bluntly, looking at them, before stopping at a room in front of her own "Here is your room" She said opening the door, to show a huge room "I hope it fits to your liking, do as you please to it, destroy it if you want" She said before stepping to the side for him to walk in "My room is across the hall"

Kai does not respond to the priestess's words, he merely thinks that he would die before he would allow himself to fail in such a manner. After the princess's comment on the priestess Kai decided that the priestess was likely overprotective and the princess had a reckless streak. As they walked through the palace Kai made note of the guard posts and thought of the relative defensibility of the areas he was seeing. To the princess's comment on her demon guards he replies, "If they try anything they will have to get past me first." After a few moments of mental note taking the princess stopped outside a door that led into a large room. He walks into the room and makes a quick survey of it. He is pleased to note that someone had brought his armor here already and he moves to put it back on. After he finishes he turns back to the princess with a pleased look on his face, "this exceeds expectations. I think I will accompany you, just to make sure you don't get into more trouble."

Kai listens in silence to the princess's plan to visit the village. He says, "I look forward to learning everything you wish to tell me," response to the princess's words. He was a bit confused by her twirling around, but he wrote it off as a princess thing. He listens intently to the princess's humming and finds that it is a pleasant tune. He does not understand what the comment on keeping up with her so raising his eyebrow he says, "Forgive me Highness, but is that some sort of challenge?"

"Well then, My Lady, I hope I can rise to meet your expectations," Kai replied returning the princess's smile. Continuing he says, "It just means the other guards don't know the how to have a good relationship with ones mistress. They need to understand that it is wrong to restrict their mistress's actions, but they should always keep an eye on her." He looks the princess's way and nods his thanks to her promise not to cause him trouble. As they leave the palace the same guard that had informed the princess of the demon attack approached. He listened silently as princess talked to the man. As the princess calls to her horse Kai whispers to the man, "you have any advice for a new comrade?" Kai waits for a response to his question. While waiting he hears the princess ask the man if he will be accompanying them to the village in a strangely stern voice.

Kai nods his thanks to Kyou and listens to the mans response. "Thanks," Kai says as he mounts the horse. Looking at the man he says, "yes, I am Kai and Kai is me. Well to my friends anyway." After a few seconds of allowing the horse to grow accustom to its new rider he guided the animal to the princess's location. From their he could get a good view of the village, and from here it looked as if the event of earlier in the day had never even occurred. In the silence he overhears her sentiment on the state of the village. He smiles at the princess and thinks that she must be well loved by the people of the village.

"Don't think I'm so love, Kai" Suzuna said still looking at the villagers "They hate the fact I can't stop the Demon lord, since my father and mother passed on I have been coming up with ways to destroy the Lord, in hopes that my people will forgive me" Suzuna started as the gates on the palace started to open "The Demon lord knows that I have a small army, and that they are not ready for battle, that demon that was here was just a low demon, not even worth killing, or my time, but he has stronger one" She finished walking through the town as people back away from her, only one person didn't back away, it was an elderly man "Your just a coward of a princess, your mother and father were better off ruling then you" He said before walking away. Suzuna smiled at the man , as if hiding her turn pain of the mans words with it "Thank you, Sir, I sometimes think that also" She said looking away from him.

Kai listens intently and is impressed by the princess's quick answer. He knew that walls although not the greatest defense against demons still gave the people a sense of security and would increase the princess's prestige in the eyes of the people. Hearing her majesty's, words he looks toward the forest. After a quick look around he notices an area does not seem right. As he follows the princess in that direction he wonders not for the first time if the princess had some type of supernatural power.

After a little while more she led them to a clearing "Nothing seems strange here" She said mostly to herself, when she was knocked off the horse by something "Heh, what a lovely little princess" A male voice said, out of no where a man appeared in mid air "Hello princess My name is Demon Lord Naku" He said as Suzuna started to get up "Come now princess, I know that couldn't have hurt, not a Demoness like you" he said with a harsh laugh

Seeing the altercation between the princess and this man claiming to be the demon lord. Kai did not know if it was the right guy, but the evidence leaned that way. He knew that he did not stand much of a chance against a demon lord, but he was not going to let his boss come to any harm while he still drew breath. Loosening his blade in its sheath he charges toward the fallen princess. Upon his arrival he places himself between her and the demon.

Suzuna looked at him with emotionless eyes "Yes I might be the blood princess, and I might be Demon, but I know I would risk my life for these humans" Suzuna said with a low growl, and drawing her sword, she looked at Kai for a minute and gave him a kind smile "Kai be careful, this one is tricky" She warned still with a smile on her face "Don't worry princess, I have no intention of battling you today, I want you to give into your demon self, when that happens then we will battle" He said disappearing and reappearing in front of her and grabbing her face, making her look at him "And who knows maybe I will make you my queen" He said disappearing again "Damn him, he always does that, coward" Suzuna mumbled to herself

Kanagaki sat staring at the disappointed look on the waitresses face while he waited for her to answer him. Then suddenly she stood up and went back to serving the other customers and ignored Kanagaki. A sad expression appeared on kanagaki’s face as he stood up and left the tea house he was disappointed because he was sure something significant to finding his past would happen in this village and he was disappointed because he got no tea. Sad and slightly depressed Kanagaki decided to look for an inn but to his dismay couldn’t find any. And after a good hour of looking gave up and decided to camp out in the woods strolling out of the city he found a nice clearing in the woods, settling down in the centre of the clearing he realised the ground was rocky and hard so he decided to find a nicer place to sleep which he came across a few meters past the edge of the clearing were he then drifted off in to a peaceful slumber. Until he was awoken by the sounds of a commotion which seemed to be coming from the clearing, getting up and rubbing his eyes he could see a man grabbing what appeared to be the noble woman’s face. Kanagaki started to move closer then suddenly the man disappeared and the black armoured samurai ran to the noble woman’s side. Stepping out into the clearing Kanagaki said loudly “what the hells going on?”.
