Kiyoshi when in kitsune form stands rather tall at 6’0 and has a slender build. This doesn’t mean he’s weak looking by any means. In fact he’s rather strong in this form, almost having inhuman strength. This is not uncommon for a yokai, however, along with other traits. In this form he has long silver white hair that almost matches the color of the moon. His skin is also quite pale in color and he has a lovely white foxtail as well. His eyes are a silver lilac color that always have a mischievous look to them. The silver hair, pale skin, and lilac eyes all allude to his fox form which is a beautiful fox the color of snow.
He is also a master of disguise and when around the humans searching for unfortunate souls to lead off and devour he changes his form ever so slightly. His facial features all stay the same, however his ears and tail vanish. His white hair turns that of black and his skin takes on a more olive shade. His height shrinks down slightly to about 5’10, but his build stays the same. The only unusual thing about him that might warn a person that he isn’t normal is the color of his eyes. No matter how much he has tried it seems he can never change the color of his eyes. This is something that makes it difficult for him to get humans to follow him. His eyes frighten people and often cause them to avoid him.

Kiyoshi has many traits of a fox with his sly and manipulative ways. He knows how to weave words to flatter a person and if you give him the time of day he can make a person easily trust him. His mind is very sharp where his tongue seems to drip honey when he speaks. He uses his cunning and ways of flattery to draw people away with him.
Manage to befriend him, however, and you’ll find that he is very loyal. He will do almost anything to protect the ones he cares about. It is not an easy task to befriend him though. Trust is not something he comes by easily and he thinks this quality is what has kept him alive for so long. Being around for 250 years you tend to learn there aren’t very many trustworthy people in this world and it’s better to rely on yourself in the end.

When one has lived for 250 years you begin to forget a lot about your past. This is true for Kiyoshi, however his age isn’t the only reason he has forgotten. The biggest reason is he’s made up so many stories of his past, told so many different stories he can’t remember which one was the truth. He’s told the story of how he has no parents, he was just a yokai that came into existance 250 years ago. Another story is that he was born a normal fox, but something happened in his early life he was gifted the ability to shift. What is the truth though?
This is the truth, he was once a human man who many considered worthless. Lazy, manipulative, and cruel his parents disowned him at the young age of 17. This didn’t bother him at all as he learned how to manipulate and con people into winning money. He would spend all his money on alcohol and women as he enjoyed these sinful pleasures in life. He never gave a care in the world about anyone other than himself.
One day he, when he was completely drunk, he was crossing a bridge and discovered a fox struggling in the river. He knew he could easily reach in and save the helpless animal, but instead he just watched this fox struggle for it’s life while he laughed at the show. Soon the fox stopped struggling and it’s life left him. That’s when Kiyoshi reached in and grabbed the animal, deciding he could use its hide for his own personal gain. This would not be the case, however, as when he turned to leave there was a woman on the bridge. Her kimono was more elegant than that of royalty which struck him odd at first, but he was soon barking at her to move. She only looked at him with more hatred. She spoke to him, telling him he had done her great wrong and he would have to pay for what he had done. As a bright magical energy left the woman’s hand and began to surround Kiyoshi he demanded he knew who she was. That is when he found out this was the goddess Inari and she was cursing him to become a yokai until he could learn to love someone other than himself. Only then would the curse be broken.
This was his beginning as a kitsune and ever since then he hasn’t even tried to break the curse. Instead he continues with his manipulative ways, but now it is to devour the souls of humans. He doesn’t even believe he can learn to love someone other than himself.
