Setting
"At least the S'FADI can heal now. Wonder how long that will take since Key is off line." he muttered as he dropped the last of the wood that set fire to it with his element and stood back, the wind ruffling his braids as it blew.
Stepping from the fire, Ki moved to the beach and looked out over the vast expansion of water and sighed as he lifted his head and breathed in the fresh scent of salty ocean water his ears twitching with each sound he heard coming from the tropical forest behind him, and the cries of the sea birds above.
(*)I wonder how long it will take Reaper to scout the whole area?(*) he wondered silently only to frown. (*)Or is it the world?(*). Frowning he closed his eyes and breathed in the salty breeze again, hoping to calm his rolling stomach.
He froze his sight on the grunting boar just beneath the tree he was on and grinned as he crouched on the branch his eyes on the boar for several more seconds before he dropped straight down onto the animals unsuspecting back and dug his claws into its shoulders even as his long fangs punctured its neck.
The boar let out a squeal of shock, and fear before a grunt of pain left it as its back broke followed by its neck as Ki violently shook his head, delighted by the taste and feel of blood flowing into his mouth and swallowed. A moan slipped from him as he swallowed again before dropping the now dead boar and stood up, stepping off the dead animal and began to clean his claws. "Damn its been to long since I've done that." he muttered as he shifted back to huma form and stripped off his shirt, tying it to his waist before reaching down and grabbed the boar. Tossing it over his shoulder, unmindful of the warm blood he could feel dripping onto his back, Ki made his way back to the beach and his camp fire.
Once done with the skinning he reached out sunk his claws into the haunch of the boar, and sliced off its head, which he tossed into the forest, before laying it on one of the banana leaves, the narrow end just over the hole and crouching down he began to slice chunks off the boar, every once in a while he would slice off a small piece and pop it into his mouth and chewed with relish, enjoying both the taste of the warm meat and the blood. Once he finished he buried the bones but tossed the rest into the forest for the scavengers that hid with in their thick foliage.
Finished with that, he covered the hole with the earthy sand, picked up the the leaf with the meat on it, Ki moved to the fire and using both claws and his scythes from his tail, shaved off several smaller branches and made a tri-pod rack that stood over part of the fire and stripped long slices of meat off a large chunk of meat, sprinkled some of the herbs and spices he found, and grounded up, onto the meat and let them smoke as he shaved a thicker piece of wood and laid it on one of the leafs. Gathering up the wild onions he found Ki stood and moved to a small fresh water hole several feet away and washed them before moving back to the fore and sat down.
Grabbing an onion he used his claws to peel off the top layer than began to cut and chop them up. Finished he untied the pouch at his waist and dug into it grinning when he felt the item he wanted and pulled out a large tin. Smiling he set it down and pulled the lid off to the scent of fresh carrots and cabbage along with potatoes. Grabbing two of each he closed the tin and placed it back into the pouch before resuming his chopping until he had a nice pile of each. Reaching for another large chunk Ki rubbed what was left of the herbs and spices he found into the meat before making a large slice into it and began to stuff the onions, carrots and potatoes into the hole and used smaller shaved sticks to close the whole and speared it onto the bigger stick and placed it onto the tri-pod to slowly cook.
Standing he stretched, his bones popping and turned towards the ocean, made his way down to it, stripped from his jeans, unmindful that he wore nothing under them and moved out into the water and washed off the blood from the boar and the smell of onions, his tail lashing in the water as he stood waist deep. Once finished with washing off the blood, Ki dove into the water and swam for a ways before surfacing and floated for several minutes before heading back to the shallows and the beach. Stepping out he shook than bent and grabbed his jeans before moving to the fire and turned the meat and let the air dry him before putting his jeans back on. As he waited Ki watched the horizon of the water and wondered exactly where he was let alone what world he was on.
Once finished he licked his fingers and his lips, savoring the taste as he stood, whispered a soft preservation spell on the smoked meat, wrapped it in several of the banana leaves as well as the cooked meat and using vines from the forest,he climbed a palm tree and tied them to it before dropping to the ground. Stretching he moved to the fire and using what was left of the leaves made a pallet and laid down just as the sun sunk below the horizon and added more wood on the fire to keep warm and any of the more curious animals away. Soon his eyes slid shut and he slept deeply but lightly, his ears twitching towards each sound he heard even as his tail flicked and curled behind him, the ball laying on the sand behind him. The fire light seemed to make the stone between his eyes glow and flicker even as the glow flickered over him adding shadows and light with each flicker of the firelight.
Sitting up he yawned, fangs showing before standing and moving to the fresh water pool, knelt and scooped up a handful and sipped from it, his ears twitching even as his tail flicked behind him. Rising he dusted off the sand from his knees and turned back to the now glowing coals of the fire and sighed as he moved towards it, his tail lashing out and with a shlink scythe from his tail ball slid out and with a thunk thunk began chopping up the thick logs from the fallen trees. With that done the scythe slid back in and he added more wood to the fire, poking it until it caught fire and stepped back. With a nod he turned and headed into the forest on silent feet senses on full alert as he hunted for fruits.
Reaching a banana tree he grinned as he looked up at the cluster of bananas and leaped straight up to dig the claws of his left hand into the bark of the tree as he used his right claws to slice through the stems of the cluster and caught it with his tail so as to not bruise any of them. Than preceded to cut down several more of the banana leaves before dropping to the ground, gathered them up and headed back to his campfire, picking berry's and nuts on the way.
Once back Ki dropped the leaves while his tail released the cluster of bananas and other fruits before once again moving into the forest searching for more berry's. His ears constantly twitching at the sounds drifting bout him from the forest.
"Perfect for making a sweet fruit salad." he said as he gathered up everything and headed back towards his camp and dumped his haul onto the extra banana leaves. Stretching his arms over his head, Ki's shirt road up, allowing the morning sun to glint off the ruby stone in his navel before he twisted and sighed as his body popped and crouched down to riffle through everything he had gathered. Placing them on separate leaves. Veggies with veggies and fruits with fruits as well as nuts with nuts.
Done with that he stood and moved to the palm tree he'd tied his spelled cooked and smoked meat and leaped upwards once again slicing his left claws into the tree as he sliced the vine holing the make shift pouch and dropped to the ground, catching it as it fell. Turning he moved back to the fire and crouched down to open the banana leaf pouch and pulled out several small chunks of cooked meat before tying it back up and once again tied it in the palm tree, and returned to the fire.
Slicing out his claws Ki began to shave off several layers of wood from a thick branch as long as his arm but as thick as his thigh all the while his tail flicked behind him as his ears twitched atop his head. As he worked he sang softly under his breath as he brushed his braids back over his shoulder and continued to work, slipping a piece of the sliced meat into his mouth.
Gabbing one of the plates, Ki used it to press and flatten out the past before placing it on the flat rock he pulled from the fire and placed the flattened substance onto the rock. Grabbing both bowls Ki stood and moved to the fresh water and filled them before returning to the fire and sat down. He took a drink from the smaller bowl but placed the second bowl, after whispering something that caused it to glow a pale green, he placed it on to another flat rock in the fire and turned the meat and fruit flapjack to brown the other side.
Looking up Ki watched as gulls flew overhead and smiled softly at their calls, even as his ears twitched back towards the forest picking up the sounds of grunting ans warbles from other animals along with the rapid heart bet of something being stalked. "Circle of life." he said softly, as he looked out towards the ocean and wondered when Reaper would return and if there were any other people on this world. "Wonder what they would be like." he said aloud even as he turned and flipped the flapjack onto a plate and placed the rock back into the fire before grabbing a second, watching as the fire licked and caressed his hand briefly.
"Nearly a week here...by myself. Where the hell are you Reaper!" he growled as he looked out at the ocean and sighed before standing up and moving towards the ocean shucking his clothes as he did and dove in once he was hip deep and swim for a ways, unmindful of the pull of the ocean currents.
After a time of swimming and diving down to gather mussels and snagging fish with his tail, Ki swam back to shore and moved towards the fire and his designated 'Home'. Once there he air dried before slipping on his pants and went to work shucking the mussels and descaling the fish before sliding a stick through them and placed them over the fire. Once that was done Ki headed for the forest and the fruits he loved that were with in their depths. His thoughts on both Reaper and the obvious none life...human...of this island and obviously the world he was on.
"Maybe it's time to build a raft!? One that is sea worthy and sturdy.!" he stated as he gathered star fruit and raspberry's to go with his fish and mussel breakfast.
"Hopefully one not inhabited by an animal of any type." he muttered as he moved quickly but quietly, even as the wind grew stronger and the air chilled even more.
"Not to mention all the fruit and some vegetables I found." he muttered as he continued to mash up the blackberry's he found and mixed it with some of the nuts he had found as well. To the left of him was a rack with drying fish and eel along with several sea weed wrap rolls of fish meat and fruit nuts to snack on later.
