Personality: Skye is a naturally humorous person, making people laugh is a fun thing for her to do; she will go out of her way and embarrass herself for a few laughs. Though she does have off days and times when she hates the world and if you know what's good for you, you'll hold back from saying anything about her height. The blondes biggest weakness would have to be her immature inability to get over her irrational fear of the dark when outside. The second is most defiantly the fact that she reads into things that people say too far, often making her stress because of a hidden meaning.
Looks: Skye just reaches 5'5, not tall but not what you could call short either, seventeen year old. She has plain light wavy blonde hair that is normally in a front braid or fishnet braid, leaving it out annoys her to no end. The teen has hollow looking dark cobalt blue eyes with much lighter blue flecks surround her pupils, giving off the effect of clouds in the night sky (hence reason for her name). Three piercings in her left ear and two in her right.
Enjoys wearing bright colours, though she doesn't like to stray from red, blues and white. Her clothes preference is somewhat plain - much like everything else about her - washed out white skinny jeans with rips at the knees and a paint splattered light blue, too-large-to-fit button up flanney with a white singlet top underneath.
History: The eighteen year old grew up with her parents, brother and sister in their family home in Bibury, England. Her father was a man who accepted no less than the best, he daily scrutinized Skye's abilities to do anything. When Skye and her twin sister were six, her minute younger sister was diagnosed with cancer. It wasn't long before Skye was almost forgotten, though when she was remembered it was when her father needed to release his anger out on something. Most of this was yelling and screaming at his second child, only on occasion would he strike her. She soon moved out after having enough of her father's abuse and her mothers and brothers silence at the age of sixteen, moving into her grandparents house where she has been for the past two and a half years.
Mutation: Cells. Sped up, mutated, destroyed and multiplied. Her cells have been messed up to make her endure more of most things; pain, large lengths of speed, not feel as much pain. Her muscular cells regenerate faster, causing more muscle strength. There's also been an increase of the sensory cells. Her Merkel cells produce faster to increase her feel of shapes, textures and light touch. They're many problems that can come with the over production of this cell, since they can turn malignant and form the skin tumour known as Merkel cell carcinoma. The blondes sensory neurons are another biggy, for they are responsible for converting external stimuli from the environment into internal stimuli. They are activated by sensory input (vision, touch, hearing, etc.), and send projections into the central nervous system that convey sensory information to the brain or spinal cord. Unlike neurons of the central nervous system, whose inputs come from other neurons, sensory neurons are activated by physical modalities such as light, sound, and temperature- which have become stronger with their over production. Something that has also been changed is her White and Red skeletal muscle cells. The red cells have been slowed down completely while the already speedy White cells are made to grow faster.
Red blood cells die faster, but grow at double rate.
A strange one, Skye's NK cells, otherwise known as Natural killer cells (they're a real thing) provide rapid responses to virally infected cells and respond to tumour formation, acting at around one day and a half rather than the three day wait. This helps with the stopping of the tumours her Merkel cells can cause.
