Unable to sleep, I grab a pair of sneakers and put them on, grabbing my knife as well, just in case, then sneak out of my window, climbing down the ivy that covers the side of the house to the ground below. I walk down through the alley and onto the moonlit street. I close my eyes and take in a deep breath of fresh air, smelling nothing but the rain washed city streets and houses. I walk quietly towards the park once more, looking up at the sky as I go. The words full moon don't ring any kind of bell in my head right now as I think about Trey and my father and Jake, pretty much oblivious to the seemingly white washed world around me.

I lay stunned on the muddy ground, blinking rapidly. "Jake!" Carson yells. 'Carsn... Gotta save her, keep her from the werewolves...' i think kind of groggily. "JAKE!" she yells again. I can hear the fear in her voice. I jump up quickly. 'Where's a slayer when you need one?' I think ruefully. "Carson! MOVE OUT OF ITS WAY!" I groan in frustration when all she ends up doing is falling flat on her back trying to get away.
I run in between the werewolves, shoving them aside and scoop Carson up in my arms, then continue running, heading towards the road keading out of the town and into the forest, hoping the scent of the woods will somewhat cover the scent of Carson's blood. I look down at her as I run, she's staring up at me with huge, scared eyes, her entire body trembling in my arms. "I'll explain later... As in tomorrow, if we live through tonight that is," I mutter as I continue running, hearing the werewolves hard breathing behind us.

Elijah mudclaw. the werewolf.
Elijah roared in pain as the knife cut his right arm, clutching it out of pure reaction he stumbled for a moment and continued the chase. The attack had taken him off guard. 'Little bitch, ill rip her to shreds' he thought giving a rough growl as he chased her slipping in and out of alleys. The girl was just in reach, a horrid smell filled the air. 'Can it be?', thought Elijah angrily He was answered as the vampire leapt onto him and bit him. Roaring in pain from the vampire bite he threw the attacker off and went into a wild frenzy smashing everything in sight. Another blur jumped onto the vampire and attacked it. Regaining his senses the two werewolves chased their pray down the alley. The other werewolf communicated to him. "chase" was all she telepathically said. He growled and howled with her as they raced into the night. The other werewolf seemed to have leapt and stopped them. Roaring in delight Elijah leapt towards them but by the time he got to them, the werewolf was knocked back. For some reason he can't explain he went to the werewolves side. And growled angrily, as it was hurt. Roaring he chased down the vampire and the human into the forest and searched for 15 minutes but it was hopeless, they had gone. Smashing a fallen tree, we walked back to the other werewolf. He roared as the furry shards left his body and let out a cry of despair as he returned to his human form. He got up and started to look for the other.
She was sitting there in human form, a girl. He smiled, another werewolf to turn the tide of war. He walked out of the trees so she could see him. He leapt into the clearing and laughed bitterly. She was crying, he turned his head slightly to the left as he observed her, her fear and pain. He frowned. "Why do you cry child?" "You should be happy, we won tonight" And he smiled, his yellow eyes glowing.
