Setting
The city of Khi'ir is its own city-state, ruled by Sheikh Aziz Kartal. Once one sets foot upon the shores here, the spices will overtake them.
The city is a trade haven, welcoming ships from harbors far and wide. The coins of gold flow loosely throughout and have helped pave the roads with arcades overhead.
The Market district covers most of the city center with a straight road to the port and docks. Rich urban dwellings and the homes of the upper class are located near the eastern end of the city up the slopes of the hill.
The Northwestern Quarter is a shanty town that is a reminder of the old city with its decaying faces.
At the very tip of the hill sits the Sheikh's Palace where rows of beautiful gardens and waterways intersect in maze-like fashion.
