(Captain) Hunter "Maelstrom" Snow, from Sky's Gambit: Part I: Revolution, a roleplay on RPG

Name: Hunter "Maelstrom" Snow
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Allegiance: Rebellion, he acts only on his own ideals, and unless he agree's with orders he will not follow them. Thus, he stay's clear of 'The Brass', especially since he is not formally a member of the Rebellion.

Even though he has only been on this earth for fifteen years, in this body at least, he looks to be near four years older than he is. He has shaggy silver hair, it's longer in the back so sometimes he will wear it in a short warriors tale. (Pony tail) His Eyes change color, though they are usually a mix of green, blue and grey. He's six ft tall with a lean, if not muscular figure, his skin somewhere between a tan and pale. He wears black combat boots, black, grey, or green cargo pants or shorts, and a black or grey button up collared dress shirt. Sometimes he will also wear a black beret with a wolf's head insignia, something that seems to compliment his feral looks. He always carries a small, belt holstered pistol and a compliment of combat knives placed throughout his person.

Personality

He is not much of a people person, preferring to stick to himself and his books, though he has a soft spot and amity to animals of all kinds. As i said, he is not a people person and does not like large groups of people he does not know, but once around people or creatures that he is familiar with, he will loosen up and come out. Last but not least, he will often sing to himself, (No he is not mental...) especially when he is in a fight or needs to concentrate on something.

Equipment

(So here, and the history is where i'm a bit undecided... because i dont know whether or not it is within the 'rules' to be a mech or not... But I guess i'll just add put each one...)

(Infantry) He prefers to go commando style, no armor, just his weapons and usual clothing when in battle, though he will use camoflauge. His weapons including a belt holstered pistol and a highly accurate and long range sniper rifle, that can take both armor piercing and anti personel rounds. He is a sniper and strategist and prefers to find a vantage point so that he may cripple key enemy locations. He also will bring along grenades and other such devices so that he may be prepared for anything.

(Mech) Basically the same thing, he pilots a mech more suited for the sniping and artillery factor of an operation. It is a Model 7 "Night Stalker" class mecha that was designed for reconnaisance and tactical positioning with camouflaged armor. His favorite strategy is to find a cliff or suitably covered position that overlooks the battlefield, hunker down with his camoflauge and destroy key points of the enemy's forces. Stats: Four legs for great manueverability and grip. 5 inch thick titanium alloy plating. A shoulder mounted chaingun that houses armor piercing shells for anti-air capabilities. A shoulder mounted long range 40mm anti tank cannon that can fire both armor piercing and explosive rounds. Side mounted missile/rocket carriers. Two nose mounted anti personel machine guns. A nose mounted grenade launcher. Spotlights mounted under the nose and on the backs. And the standard jamming, communication, radar, cloaking, and reconnaisaince units from the Empire.

(Gunship) In this day and age aerial combat is scarce, (i believe) but the empire still keeps a sizable array of air combat specialists. His unit is a fast, low-high altitude, Rotor powered, "Herrier"Gunship with multiple munitions systems, used to pick off enemy ground forces and positions. It is mainly used to fight ground forces but can hold it's own against other aerial units, and has a small loading bay in the back. Stats: 4 inch titanium alloy plating, angled as to deflect shells. A nose mounted cannon. A rotating nose mounted chain gun. Wing mounted rocket/missile pods, that contain both air to ground and air to air. A low power energy shield for the bottom of the aircraft. And the standard jamming, communication, radar, cloaking, and reconnaisance units from the empire.

History

As a young boy Hunter was always reading and 'playing' out doors, mostly consisting of hunting and trapping. Because of this he gained an inherent knowledge about the world, as well as quick reflexes and keen senses. By the age of twelve he had tested into all the major college's of the Empire and was a well known out doorsman. Unfortunantely his family was poor and could not afford for his college fee's, so when the Imperial's came knocking, he was eager to accept their proposition, join the military, and in return he would be able to quench his thirst for knowledge and put to use the skills he had learned in the wilds. He set to it with a will, and in only one year was inducted into the military special forces for tactical operations.
At only the age of thirteen he earned the nicknames, "Captain" and "Maelstrom". One for his quick tactical adjustments, and habbit of taking command from his superiors and ordering his team about, and the other for his incredibly acurate quick sniping.
Nearing the end of his thirteenth year he stumbled across Intel that had previously been hidden to him, learning of the cruelties and opression the Empire put on it's outer colonies, and the ruthlessnes with which it destroyed even a hint of rebellion. Unsettled and wondering, Hunter began to realize more and more about the ways of the Empire, and soon was pondering open rebellion. Then came a blast of bright light, as the whole imperial fleet was recognized as deserted. Now certain of his allegiance he slipped off during a routine patrol, taking his gear with him, wandering for months as he searched for a rebel base.
Soon his vigilance payed off and he found a convoy of refugees heading for a rebel out post, using his skills of deception he convinced them that eh had been sent by the rebels as a guard, and acted accordingly. Ever since, till his fourteenth year, he has been tailing the Rebellions Actions, helping where it was needed and then quietly slipping off into the darkness once again.
