Callie was so excited! It was going to be a new year at school and she was very happy. Callie hoped she could make lots of new friends and learn many new things. She had learned from her mom her best friend wasn't coming back. Callie cried and cried because of this and did not get over it for a long time. Today with her cane-and no she was not old it helped Callie not bump into things because she was blind- Callie triumphantly walked through the doors with a big grin. All the new kids would be able to get help from Callie. "Ha!" Callie could scarcely speak but she learned this word from her mother. She would miss her mommy. Callie took out her cellphone with braille keys and dialed her mom. "Mama! I miss you soon!" Callie said
"Oh sweetie you do not need to miss me. You will have a lot of fun!"
Okay mama." Callie closed her cellphone and walked to class.
