Ellie was pacing the hallways, as usual, and saw her sister slip out of their parent's room. Biting her tongue, she kept to the shadows and waited, furrowing her brow. Her first reaction was to scold the young girl, but...she couldn't blame her. Ellie couldn't have been the only one that missed their parents. She thought of all the times she had snuck into their room as a child, nuzzled her way between Mother and Father, and been able to sleep peacefully. When the nightmares came for Ellie, she missed those nights, the safety found wrapped in a parental embrace...
Sighing silently, she leaned her head against the hallway wall and closed her eyes. The wall hummed comfortingly beneath her, but it did nothing to soothe her, she had far too many things on her mind...most were usual worries and quirks, but one was new. What exactly had Daemyn meant? She had been trying to sort out his words the remainder of the evening, so wrapped up in her thoughts that she had spilt soup all over the table at dinner, and made a fuss over cleaning it all up. Ellie really hated being this way, so caught up in something that she just didn't understand.
