"Do you truly know what happiness is? Perhaps what makes you happy isn't the same as what makes someone else happy. Perhaps none of us are actually happy, yet we convince ourselves that we are to avoid the sadness that our minds want us to feel. I don't know what happiness is, but I know it exists, somewhere..."

Appearance

Image

Physical Appearance: Eiko has long straight hair that falls down to the small of her back, raven black with a silky and creepy look to it. Her eyes are a bright green, but they change of shade depending on her mood, meaning they get darker the angrier she gets, and lighter as she becomes tired or weak, such as at the end of a long day. Her skin is a snowy pale and flawless, with a smooth completion and an almost ghost-like shine to it. Her height is average for her age, 5'4. Most people think she wears makeup around her eyes, but the dark rings around them are natural, giving her appearance an even more creepy look.

Clothing Style:Nothing flashy or showy. Her normal colours are usually dark, such as black, dark blue, red and purple. At times, she is seen with a white tank top and leather jacket, which is the outfit she's most comfortable in. She hates skirts and dresses, jeans are her best friends, especially black skinny jeans, and she usually wears boots with them, or somtimes converse. No accessories needed.

Thoughts on Appearance: She doesn't care what people think of her. When people see her, they are instantly scared, which is how she likes it. All-in-all, she's comfortable in her appearance.

I Mysterious I Stubborn I Physically and mentally strong I Hot-tempered I Arrogant I

Personality: When you first meet Eiko, she is very quiet, keeping to herself most of the time and only talking when she has to. She's slightly arrogant, as she doesn't let anyone convince her out of her opinions. However, once you get to know her, you learn she's actually pretty reckless, stubborn and actually very arrogant. She will protect her friends with everything she has, and won't let anything bad happen to the people she cares about, meaning she's loyal. Eiko is also hot-tempered, so she's angered very easily. You don't want to be in a room with an angry Eiko. She can break you, whether it be physically with her strenth, of mentally with her arguing skills. She prides herself in her strength and wits, and she knows she's not to be messed with. Her arrogance comes from her surviving on the streets for several weeks, so she thinks she can survive anything. Eiko tries not to get violent, but won't hesitate if she knows she has to. Her favourite weapon is the pocket knife she keeps with her at all times.

History

History: Eiko wasn't always the mysterious and creepy orphan that she is now. There was once in her life when she lived a happy life, with parents who loved her very much, an older brother who she shared everything from secrets to sandwiches, and an older sister who was always for Eiko to give advice and other tips. They lived together in a large three story house, that was located right next to a lake, where the family would often swim during the summer. School wasn't a problem, as Eiko was a smart girl, and her parents were always proud of her. Her brother were the prankster of the neighbourhood, always getting into trouble, of course, their sister would always act as their alibi, so they very rarely got in trouble. Eiko didn't think anyone was as happy as her.

But her life changed in one cold winter night. Eiko had just recently turned 10. She was in bed, sleeping soundly when she heard a loud crash in the living room. Curious, she got out of bed and followed the sound. Of course, she figured it was only her brother. He often wakes up in the middle of the night, and breaking things were practically his hobby. However, once she reached the kitchen, there was a strange man standing by the window. He looked to be in his mid-thirties, with a grey jacket and a blood covered white t-shirt. Eiko was terrified by the stranger, knowing it was probably a robber, she ran to find her parents. But upon entering her parents room, she was hit with the surprise of a lifetime.

There were her parents lifeless bodies, hanging by a thin rope tied to the ceiling fan. They had multiple stab wounds in their chest, legs, arms and stomach. The bedroom was covered in blood, splattered on the walls and floor and ceiling. She nearly screamed, but knowing that the murderer was still in the house, stayed quiet and ran to her sisters room down the hall from her parents. Unfortunately, the murderer had gotten their first. Her sister was laying on the floor in a pool of her own blood, barely clinging onto life as Eiko entered the room. Her sister saw her standing there, and managed a small smile as she bled to death right in front of Eiko. Tears filled her eyes as she ran out of the room, up the stairs where she ran into her brothers room.

Her brother was hiding in the closet when she came in, and pulled her in with him. He told her that they had to get out of the house, and handed her his pocket knife for protection as he took his favourite baseball bat. They snuck downstairs, hoping the murderer had left. Seeing no one, they ran across the floor, and just feet from the door, Eiko though they would make it. But just as she touched the door, her brother screamed. The murderer had found them, and her brother was laying on the ground bleeding heavily as the murderer stabbed him. Blood gushed out of each wound as the murderer laughed insanely. She screamed, watching her brother bleed to death in front of her. He looked at her with tear filled eyes, and told her to run. She nodded solemnly, and ran out into the night, her bloodstainded nightgown being torn by the thorns of the forest. She heard the murderer chase after her, but she ran quickly though the woods as rain started to pour down. Mud and blood was staining her nightgown, but she didn't care. She had to get away, but she then tripped over a tree root, hitting her knee on a rock and causing it to bleed heavily. When she got up, the murderer was standing above her, knife high and ready to stab. Eiko was scared but at the same time she didn't want to die. She rolled away, jumping up and kicking the murderer in the knee as hard as she could. He gasped, but Eiko wasn't done yet. She balled her fist, then punched the murderer in the nose, causing it to break. He fell over from the impact, but before he could get up, she used her knife to stab him in the shoulder. He screamed in pain as she twisted the knife. He had fallen on the ground, bleeding slowly, and using this time, Eiko ran faster and faster towards the nearby town where she would be safe. It was later on, several weeks later, that Eiko got put into an orphanage.

She'd been here for just over a month now, in clarum. She remembered at the orphanage (read: hell-hole) when those damn caretakers would constantly beat them for doing something they didn't like. It wasn't that it was wrong, they just didn't like it. They hated all the orphans at that place, and were only there for the money. They never paid any attention to the kids. Honestly at times Eiko though she could smuggle a live bear in there and they wouldn't even notice. She was finally sent to Clarum, along with a few others in an attempt of the caretakers to get rid of a few kids. Not that she cared.

She actually liked it in Clarum. It was a lot nicer than the orphanage, that's for sure. The month she spent here, she really just relaxed, did some sight seeing and whatnot. But classes were starting soon and she had to prepare. Class had been open for a week now.

Eiko was never one to socialize. She never spoke to anyone unless they spoke to her first. The program she was in forced her to live with some spoiled rich kid, not that she gave a crap about what those brats did anyway. They try to mess with her, they'll quietly learn not to.

Class started soon and she wanted to get their early. She walked out of the dorm in a black t-shirt, jeans and a leather jacket. Yeah, not exactly designer fashion, but she didn't mind. Eiko's appearance usually told people to stay away from her. That's the way she wanted it. Alone in her own world.
