Briar Liar (Just a nick name)'s Story

The car pulled up to Starlight academy, and I din't want to get out. This was a school for kids who couldn't make it elsewhere, who were "special". You see, I've had some troble with the word "special". It's what people say when they don't want to call people retards or wierdos. I'd been called worse. You see, I'm kindof a kleptomaniac. I love to bargain for things, and I always somehome seem to be able to cheat others out of prices. In the end, they get the worst deal (I sometimes get things for free) and they call the police to say I stole it. Then I get in trouble. SO there's "special" for you. Little did I know that the way I was special was actually good.

Hmmmmm....I don't think this 'superhero' type thing is going to work out. So I got powers. And? I don't necesaraly want to do good. Or evil. Why do I have to choose? I am going to skip any class I want and never do homework. I'm going to break every stupid rule they have. Why? So they see that I'm not 'destined for good.'.I'm not destined for anything. I see someone walking up to the school. "hey" I ask."what did you do?' She answers quietly,"I stole something. Actually a lot of things." I think about it. Stealing stuff would be a great way to get kicked out. But then again, so would burning the school while everyone is out on stupid "Training missions" and it would be more fun. I don't even think "super"heros have it the hardest. I've seem my share of REAL bad guys. Ones who just kill you on the spot, instead of leaving clues and using elaborate death traps. WTF???? I don't belog here.

I've always been an outgoing person. What else is there to be? Scared of my own shadow? I know that is stupid. But I am still terrified of going to a school for superheroes. I mean, I'm pretty sure that we aren't going to have to wear spandex here. And I know that villains don't leave elaborate traps. They kill the superheroes then and there. I know because my father was a villain. That's why I'm sure this place will be bad for someone who's power is to deceive. That's why I'm nervous. I know everyone will probably recognize my last name. Montague. My father was a villain. One of the bad guys. I'm Briar Montague, but I usually go by Briar Liar. However, they know my name. They will use my real name. It's a terrifying prospect.

To make things worse, my roommate here sucks. She's nice, and perky, and blond and tan and has clear skin and blue eyes and is perfect. Her mom is also a superhero. Her mom is one of the founders. Her mom can assemble any weapon or anything just using her mind. Her mom....it goes on and on and on. Marabeth Strider is perfect on the outside and a slut on the inside. I know because a boy came into our room last night and shoved some cash into her hand. Apparently her power is seduction. She's 15. I'm 14, almost 15. It works right? I told her straight off: "Go to his room!" and she looked at me funny.
"Come on Bri-Bri," she said, using her ridiculous nickname for me, "You're almost 15. You should know about stuff like this."
I shook my head. "No way"
Then her boyfriend got on me "But my roommate might steal her."
"Well then use your powers." I responded coolly. By using my powers I managed to kick her out. I know right then that I'd be kept up all night by horrifying images of her with her boyfriend. That was just the start of what I'm sure is going to be a suckish day.
