Personality

Samuel, or Royce as the agency calls him, has a relatively ambiguous, yet distinguished personality. He is very dapper and a sharp dresser and believes first impressions are the most important, whether you're investigating someone or being investigated yourself. He is extremely carefree when it comes to personal vices and troubles; although he lets the stress of his work get to him frequently. Royce is calm and collected when presented with a challenge or confrontation. Royce puts many people off by his stern and sometimes callous demeanor, although he is a genuinely compassionate, friendly and personable individual who will not hesitate to help those in need, regardless of whether or not he likes them. Royce has been described as a workaholic, but this is simply because he isn't easily inspired to do non work-related things and finds such activities a waste of time. He is good at what he does, but sometimes that can interfere with his personal relationships among him and his friends.

Due to his profession, Royce is often authoritative and quick to pick up the slack of others, even when insecure about his abilities. His job assures that being decisive is a prerequisite, as he wastes no time in making a decision or assuming the role of leader, if nobody else steps forth to do so. He secretly gets some degree of satisfaction in having people follow him and listen to what he preaches, but appreciates the support of the other Detectives.
