Suginami Cafe

"Welcome to Suginami Academy" Sairen just looked at the headmaster of the school with her large brown eyes then shook his hand.

"Thank you Mister Suginami" Sairen hopped out of the chair and skipped out of the room.

"I hope this year goes well" she came to the first year Cafeteria and looked inside it was all dusty from sitting unused the entire summer.

"I wonder..." she walked into the room and a small sneeze escaped her as she looked around.

seeing a nearby table she walked over and sat down to read her book before school started.

Leon looked around for someone to talk to. He tried his best to avoid being pushed over by the students streaming in several directions. He silently cursed his small stature. Once his line of vision was clear, he was delighted to see a girl sitting alone in the cafeteria, reading a book. She looked friendly enough. Timidly, Leon slowly approached until he stood across the table from her. "H-hello," he said.

Sairen looked up from her book and smiled

"Hello there, whats you're name? My name is Sairen"

she looked the boy over and decided he was okay to be around.

"Would you like to sit down too?"

Leon smiled. She really did seem nice. "Ah... sure, thank you." He took a seat across from Sairen. Twiddling his thumbs under the table, he said. "My name is Leon. Nice to meet you, Sairen." 

He featured to her book. "Whatcha reading?" Leon held his bag to his chest and rested his chin on it while he looked at the girl. 

"Its nice to meet you Leon-sempai, what year are you in high school?" she closed her book and showed him the title 'the Green Mile' by Stephen king

"First..." he said. Noting the title of the book, he nodded. "I started that book, but I couldn't understand some of it, so I stopped..." he trailed off, blushing furiously at the fact that he knew only some English. It was embarrassing. He'd never expected that the Japanese would all be so good with English. 

"I'm a first year here too, what kind of clubs are you signed up for?" she knew it would shock some people, her being 11 and all but to her it really didn't matter.

"I signed up for music club and something called the host and hostess club."

"Sairen, there you are, I thought I told you not to wander off, you could get lost, or hurt, or...or" she noticed the boy sitting across from her "Oh hello, you're Leon Fierre right?"

Ariana left the music room with the hope of meeting some new people. She was still wearing her body-bag, which contained lots of important items. She peered inside the cafeteria, seeing not many people were there, she decided to go inside. Chattering was all she could hear, and she was not there for the food, she just wanted to do something else, other than being isolated. She could return to her dorm room and all, but she didn't want to, she felt this wasn't the time.

She looked at one part of the cafeteria, seeing Sairen. She heard some things about this kid from some staff, and she was intrigued. The girl was, apparently, talking to someone, but Ariana still had the need to talk to the girl. She walked towards the group and didn't say a word, waiting for them to greet her rather than interrupting.

"C'mon, Husky! C'mere boy!" Kayl's loud voice echoed through the busy hallways, somehow making its way above the chatter of the other students.
"Woof." Husky sighed, not bothering to mention for the hundredth time that we was not, in fact, a dog.

Kayl's bright smile made up for the embarrassing treatment. Husky, lost in his thoughts, didn't realize he'd stopped in the middle of the hallway until Kayl came running over and grabbed his hand. The bell that hung on a red ribbon around Kayl's neck jingled cheerily as he pulled Husky into the cafeteria. Hearing girlish giggling to his right, Kayl turned and smiled at the small group of girls that were very obviously talking about the brothers.
Although he offered them a smile, Kayl didn't go over to talk to them like he usually might. It was the first day back at school and he was determined to find the other Host and Hostess Club members as soon as he could. He did, after all, need to become acquainted with the new ones. Standing on tip-toe in an attempt to look over everyone's heads and find his friends, Kayl was startled as someone bumped into him and nearly sent him sprawling across the floor. Husky was bristling beside him, a venomous stare landing on the student before he turned back to Kayl with a questioning look. The look was responded with a sharp nod and the brothers continued walking in search of their friends.

"Ariana-san!" Kayl grinned, rushing over to the group with Husky in tow. "Long time, no see!"

As Kayl spoke his greeting, Husky offered a curt nod. "Ariana-kohai." his posture was stiff and slightly uncomfortable.
He wasn't used to having this many people around him any more. He'd spent his vacation on an empty beach with Kayl, their younger sister, and their parents. As he thought of that, he remembered what his little sister had instructed him to tell Ariana. "Kaylee says hello as well and she claims that if you don't make Kayl and me more fun to be around she's going to personally come to the school. Or something like that."

Sairen Noticed Ariana and smiled "Ari-chan!" she had met the girl at the schools open campus event.

"Do you need me for something?"

Emma turned now as well to see the long haired girl behind her.

Ariana heard the boy's voice, making her look back, "Oh, Kayl-kun," she hugged him and patted his head softly, "It feels like I haven't seen you in a long time." She smiled and then heard his brother call her, "Hn? She did?" Her arms were crossed in front of her, making her look more serious than she really was, "Well, I'd love to see her, anyways." her smile was back on her face.

She looked back at the girl to respond, "I just thought I haven't introduced myself properly." she smiled before turning completely to face her, offering a handshake, "Ariana Zinanni. A pleasure to be your acquaintance."

"Right. Thanks."

The male replied briefly as teachers welcomed all the other teenagers into a new year of Suginami, or for first years, a warm welcome. Sighing, he ran a hand through his hair and fixed his posture; he took note he looked drowsy when he slouched.

"Let's see. I believe I signed up for a host role, I just have no idea who the others are, hmn. Well, I suppose I'll find out shortly."

Yawning, his blue eyes glanced over the place before making way into a vacant room. Leaning backwards against a chair, he took out some books from his backpack and began sketching drawings of flags. Italian, German, whatever he can get his hands on.

She looked back at the girl to respond, "I just thought I haven't introduced myself properly." she smiled before turning completely to face her, offering a handshake, "Ariana Zinanni. A pleasure to be your acquaintance."

"Sairen rose and this is my older sister Emma"

Emma waved

"Emma rose, pleased to meet you Ariana"

"I feel delighted to meet you, as well, Emma-san, Sairen-chan." Ariana smiled at the both before looking at the siblings behind her, "These two are Kayu," she gestured to the guy, "And Kayl," she patted the shoulder of the younger one.

"You might've heard of them before," she adds, it was true, the two are quite popular, "They're of the Host club, as well." She says matter-of-factly, the smile still on her face.



Lily slowly closed the door of the music room, she assumed her cousin would be there, but no soul was found in the said place. She sighed, she'd been looking for Ariana for a while, now. She continued wandering, being greeted by some of the faculty members and staff, and her greeting them back.

It took her a short while to get to the cafeteria, in which students were chattering. She thought she could find her cousin there. Making her way through the crowd, she finally saw the girl with brown hair that barely matched her own locks, "Ana!" she yelled, but not too loud, just enough to catch the other's attention.

Leon nodded at the girl that addressed him. "Yeah, that's me." He turned back to Sairen. "Ah, I signed up for the host club too. That's nice. Can't wait to start. Looks pretty interesting, right?"

He gave a small wave to the two girls that had come up to them, Emma and Ariana.

"I feel delighted to meet you, as well, Emma-san, Sairen-chan." Ariana smiled at the both before looking at the siblings behind her, "These two are Kayu," she gestured to the guy, "And Kayl," she patted the shoulder of the younger one.

"You might've heard of them before," she adds, it was true, the two are quite popular, "They're of the Host club, as well." She says matter-of-factly, the smile still on her face.


Siren smiled politely at the two brothers "Its very nice to meet you Kayl-sempai, Kayu-sempai" she knew word would be out about the 11 year old prodigy but she saw it fit to introduce herself anyways.

"I'm Sairen Marie Rose, age 11 and I'll be a first year here" Emma was pleased that her little sister was making such a good impression on highschoolers.

"I'm Emma Christine Rose 16 and a second year, Sairen here is my little sister."


Leon nodded at the girl that addressed him. "Yeah, that's me." He turned back to Sairen. "Ah, I signed up for the host club too. That's nice. Can't wait to start. Looks pretty interesting, right?"

Sairen turned back to Leon

"Really, are you excited?"

Leon clapped his hands together once and nodded eagerly. "Yep. Really excited!" He glanced shyly at those that had begun to congregate around them; he was never good around crowds. He went back to twiddling his thumbs under the table and fixing his gaze on his lap, feeling almost overcome with timid was again. 

"It's been forever, Ariana-san!" Kayl grinned as his friend hugged him and patted him on the head.

Husky smiled, a laughing smile like he was in on some secret joke. "I'll let her know."

The brothers nodded as they were introduced and Kayl smiled brightly at the group. "Since my brother's name is so similar to my own, he goes by Husky most of the time. However, when we are conducting business he is more commonly known as Kayu to all besides his more familiar customers."
When the rest of the group began introducing themselves, the brothers found the need to as well. "Ah, I suppose I should formally introduce myself. I am Kayl Megame, a third year student. I am fifteen years old."

"Kayu Megame. Third year. Seventeen." Husky's introduction was short and sweet.
Husky's hand absently went to the fleur de lis tattoo beneath his right eye and he glanced at Kayl, not sure if he wanted to stay and talk anymore. Likewise, Kayl's hand had found its way to the collar of his shirt and his fingertips were pressed lightly to the symbol tattooed just beneath his left collarbone.

"Ah, we ought to be getting going back to the music room. We've got to start working on everything for the glorious first night of the semester in which the Suginami Host and Hostess Club will be open for business once again. Bye, Ariana-san, Emma-kun, and Sairen-kun! We'll see you tonight!" at that, Kayl flashed a bright smile, turned on his heel, and disappeared into the crowd.
Pausing a moment to nod a farewell before turning to follow his brother, Husky quickly found Kayl waiting for him in the hallway.
"Come on, onii-san. We've got tons to do!" the brothers hurried down the hallway and up to a higher floor. It only took them a few minutes to reach Music Room 3.

Pushing open the doors, Kayl flounced into the room with a grin. "Ah, it feels so great to be back here!" if he could, he would have been grinning from ear to ear.

Husky, who had been standing stiffly all through the time in the cafeteria seemed to loosen up as soon as he stepped through the doors. "It's nice to be back." a smile had found its way to his lips as well.
Husky glanced over the room and started to make a comment about how they had a lot of work to do when his eyes settled on a boy sitting in a tilted-back chair and drawing.

"Pardon me, but who might you be?" it seemed that Kayl had spotted the unknown boy as well and although his words were calm and composed, the boy was practically bouncing over to the stranger.

Not sure what to do, Husky stood stiffly again and smiled warily at the strange boy before turning his attention to Kayl. Kayl, I will begin preparations for this evening."
Stepping over to a table tucked away in a corner, Husky couldn't help smiling as he plucked a fedora off of it, dusted it off and then placed it upon his head. It was his favorite hat, and although he wasn't allowed to wear it out on the grounds since it was not part of his uniform, Husky tended to wear it while in Music Room 3 when the Host and Hostess Club was closed. He'd left it in the room earlier when he and Kayl had gone in search of the others. Red-brown hair stirring only slightly as he walked smoothly over to another table, Husky tugged a pencil and a piece of crumpled paper from his pocket, smoothed the parchment out, and began scribbling down ideas for the theme of the night in eloquent, flowing cursive.
