Despite being Harry's first and eldest child, he resembles nothing of his father. Well, there are some characteristics but not really much. James stands about six foot tall with an incredible tall and muscular frame and a weight of one hundred and fifty-five pounds. James skin is slightly pale, yes but in the right light, it will look like he has a paper white skin tone. His eyes are a warm brown and he has raven colored hair with deep brown mixed in it here and there. He likes to keep his hair combed to perfection, too.

Every since Harry had taught him how to fly, he has been in love with flying. Sneaking out and flying just for the hell of it sometimes. It's not just the flying, per say but it's much more of an escape for him. Along with flying, he likes to play the game of Quidditch and just loves the adrenaline rush it gives him during a game. He doesn't know if it's because of the time he was born in or what but James loves records. He'll sit in his room and listen to records all day, whenever he has free time and sometimes before he goes to bed. Whether a record is playing or he's just doing it because he is bored, James likes reading a good book or two. It may be hard to believe but yes, he really does love to read.

James doesn't know if it's because of his father's hatred or just because it's Slytherin, but the Slytherin House is one house that he cannot stand. James will not even associate with anyone from the Slytherin House, to be honest. Speaking upon that subject, his brother, Albus is Slytherin and yes, that means that he will not associate with him neither. James doesn't like to talk about war. He knows that it will come up in certain classes and certain people will talk about it but he doesn't like to talk about it, himself. He loves to listen to records but he doesn't like classical music. It is so annoying to his ears. And lastly, James doesn't like to stress about anything.

James fears getting hurt by those close to him. It's something he has been thinking a lot about recently and just feels like someone close to him is going to hurt him or something. Even though he knows that it has to happen but it is not something that he isn't rushing, he is a little bit scared of falling in love and commitment. He is also scared of Dementors. Those life sucking leeches gives him the heebies jeebies.

James has always wanted to know what it was like to live without being a wizard. Being a wizard comes with its challenges and perks sometimes but James just always wanted to know what it would be like to not be a wizard. James can do wandless and non verbal magic. He keeps quiet about it because he doesn't want to be compared to anyone.

James likes to run his fingers through his hair whenever he is in thinking or just out of boredom. He'll bite his bottom lip whenever he is about to lie or is nervous about something. James will stutter or just sit there with his mouth open for a moment when being confronted about something that he has said or done but he will admit to it, as well. James also writes with his left hand but does everything else with his right hand, like whisk his wand.

Even though he is scared to love, he doesn't let that get in the way of his ability to love those close to him. He will sacrifice himself before he let anyone go down, even if they did do something wrong. He will protect those close to him, no matter what. It's a skill that he got from his father. Like both of his parents, he's very good at dueling. It was something he struggled with for a little while but with enough training, he was able to get and become an excellent dueler. Like the clubs he is apart of, he is very good at Potions and Charms. Herbology is a little bit of a test but he is doesn't let it defeat him. Being a leader is something that he saw within himself at an early age. He knew that his parents exasperated that skill, too.

It may be hard to believe but James can be a bit of a jokester, when he wants to be. He'll even pull some pranks but set it up as to where they think someone else did it. James is very good at that. He is also constantly stepping over the line at times. James doesn't really know his boundaries when it comes to certain areas. James really doesn't pay attention to anything important either. He'll just simply brush it off until something actually happens.

James has an excellent sense of humor and he definitely doesn't hide it from anyone. He likes to smile and laugh along with make others smile and laugh with him. While spending time with his uncles, Fred and George Weasley, he developed his love of mischief and developed a teasing nature, one that started with his siblings. He really teased his brother, Albus the most though. James is rather independent and confident with himself. He is very easygoing and popular as everything comes sort of easy to him. Even though Harry is his father, he takes things into his own hands and writes his own history.

With having his grandfather and godfather names mixed with each other, James cannot help but a little bit mischievous. He isn't as mischievous as they were though. He can also be a little bit manipulative and just as persuasive with certain words. He can make almost anyone do anything that he asks them to do and can make almost anyone give him valuable information.
