He was found on the palace doorstep and the childless king raised him as his own,he always knew he was adopted because the king had never married and his skin was much darker than anyone in the king's family.He was found to have magical powers and was trained to be able to harness them properly.He has heard the stories of refugees from Anatolí and has had dreams that seem to be symbolically warning him about the queen there.
