Skills:
-Heka is very skilled in fighting be it simple hand to hand or with a weapon. Heā€™s lived long enough to learn how to use nearly every weapon mortals have made, and all those that deities use.
-Heka, being a hunter, knows a thing or two about tracking and locating.
-Heka is masterful in magic, therefore casting spells, negating wards, and the like come as second nature to him.
-Hekaā€™s knowledge of the supernatural is vast, so much so that most come to him for answers to many questions regarding the supernatural.
-Though not an herbalist by any means, Heka has enough knowledge to know what herbs can heal and which ones can kill.

Deficits:
-Can be killed like any other deity, by a wooden stake drenched in the blood of a sorcerer, warlock, archmage, or wizard, but it must be through the heart.
-He can be easily distracted when the conversation of technology comes up. Heā€™s sort of a technology whiz, the 21st century calls this type of person a nerd.
-Heka often times is a bit to overzealous, meaning that he can be a bit too forgiving, or in need of something to do, so much so that he may create mischief just to keep busy.
-Attempts to hide his true self from the Hunters for fear of being killed by them if they were to find out that he is a pagan deity.

Distinguishing Marks:
Heka has a tattoo of his symbol in the lower half of his back, just above his buttocks. Though rather large, he tries to keep it from view for fear of someone asking questions about it. Aside from this, his eyes emit a odd purplish glow in the night, a sort of shimmer.[/center]

Image

Personality:
Heka is very odd to say the least. While itā€™s true that he is an all around great individual and loves to give and experience the emotions of the mortal realm, it goes to say that he often times relishes in the fact that no one aside from other deities, know who he is. Itā€™s like sleeping in bed with a woman and finding out she is a he. The thrill of such a thing excites him. Now he isnā€™t just a good guy, he has his moments of darkness that drive him to harm, but it can be said that Heka is among the few deities that donā€™t want destruction and chaos and donā€™t feed on human flesh for sustenance. Heka is in a sense one of the mortals, even though heā€™s not a mortal at all. He has the mind set that would actually make you believe that heā€™s a mortal.

Aside from Heka being very strong, he also has a sort of aura about him that can cause oneā€™s hair to stand up, or chills to run down the spine of others. He seemingly commands attention when he enters a room, but he would much rather had the attention on someone else. Heka doesnā€™t show any type of emotion when in the face of danger or adversity. Itā€™s a trademark of many deities. Though he does have fears, he works hard to keep those fears at bay. Heka may seem like your run of the mill nice guy with quirky ways and excellent hair, but unlike other deities, Heka enjoys feeling the emotions of a mortal. To experience them is like a drug to him, and everyone know that a drug addict needs his or her fix every once and a while. Sometimes Heka can say things to others that can be very blunt and straightforward. Itā€™s not meant to hurt their feelings, but itā€™s the only way he knows how to speak to others.

Yes, everyone knows Heka is sexy, hell even he knows it, and he absolutely loves to flaunt his sexy whenever he gets a chance. Some think heā€™s cocky, but heā€™s really not, he just loves himself and the body he sculpted.

History:
Heka, like any other deity, existed long before mortals. Even though he has existed for an extremely long time, he has always despised the way the immortals handled their business and affairs. He also couldnā€™t believe the way they treated their worshipers. During the time when pagen gods rules, Heka merely read, indulging himself in the finer things rather than bothering with the other deities. He found most of them intolerable and hungry for power, to the point that it annoyed him and he stayed mostly to himself, dealing with other magical beings from time to time instead of his own kind. The stories that mortals tell about gods of old and new are mostly true, at least to his account, but time went on and he continued to live amongst the lower beings.

After the fall of the pagans and the rise of a new god, Heka wondered how long it would be before this new god retired from existence and hushed the very voices around. Heka had chosen solidarity for quite some time, and it wasnā€™t until recently when things started going haywire that he came out of dark and solemn life, and traded it for adventure. Because Heka didn't require worshipers to remain strong, he maintained his level of strength and power, though it did wain a bit due to some loss of followers, still he is stronger than most other pagan gods. With the rise of new creatures known to most as mortals, he decided to enjoy getting up close and personal with them.

Having no quarrel with either Heaven nor Hell, he stayed to himself mostly, enjoying the mortal realm, or Earth as it was now called. His knowledge and wealth simply grew as he established himself and he continues to enjoy the finer things in life; however, he has joined the Hunters. It was a move that he thought about for years since the Hunterā€™s conception. When he finally joined, it was during the war, and he was tired of the bickering and hatred and chaos and he simply wanted to assist in putting an end to it. His choice was a difficult one, as most pagan gods wouldn't even consider joining such an organization as the Hunters, nor would they look twice at mortals in the way Heka did. His decision came swiftly; however, when he was mistook for a normal mortal by vampires, demons, and other lower creatures, or at least that's how he saw them. His run in with vampires was a blood one. The suckers made life for him irritating, but he disposed of them relatively easily. Demons on the other hand were a new case in and of itself. His first run in with demons came when his boyfriend at the time was slaughtered by a group of them. Needless to say those demons no longer exist now. With so much interaction between him and the creatures of myth and lore, he decided to assist in ridding the world of these creatures, or at least putting things back in balance, thus he entered the war as a Hunter, but no one even knows that he is a pagan god, none know of his true identity and he hopes it stays that way.

Theme Song:

Lana Del Rey || Once Upon a Dream
I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, that gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

But if I know you, I know what you do
You love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream.

So begins...

Claire Novak

ā€œOh and Claire itā€™s no problem, I got contacts everywhere, I can shoot one of them a call and have them drop off a car to get your gear if you want.ā€

A look of surprise crossed Claireā€™s face at this. She opened her mouth to speak, to tell him ā€œno,ā€ that is was okay, that she didnā€™t want to inconvenience anyone on her behalf- though, getting her stuff and making sure her love was alright did sound pretty tempting. However, before she could even begin to object, Tony already had a number dialed. Snapping her mouth shut, the blonde blinked a few times, reaching up and tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear absentmindedly. She watched the hunter talk on the phone, impressed. As Tony hung up, Claireā€™s eyes flickered to Zad, not able to keep the giddy look off her face when she smiled at him. She then looked back at Tony, standing up quickly as she done so.

ā€œI swear, Tony, youā€™re a peach!ā€ she squealed, talking as if she had known the guy all her life. With Claire Novak, it was like that. According to her mother, she never really met a stranger. ā€œIf this table wasnā€™t in my way Iā€™d just have to hug you.ā€ The hunter added in a teasing tone, gaze burning with excitement. It was hard to believe she was so happy about getting a car towed to her simply to grab some things. Yet, it did not take much to make her happy. Perhaps it was that and the hopeful promise of another hunt. Claireā€™s aqua colored orbs traveled back to Zad briefly. Though, when she noticed him stand and stretch, becoming highly aware of the skin exposure along his waist where his jeans rode, and the way her face began to burn with the realization, she looked away, clearing her throat nonchalantly. Jeez, Claire, think blood and gore. Demon exorcising. Get your head in the game. Stupid. She thought, scolding herself, embarrassed by the fact that something like that could make her blush fiercely as if she was still a school girl.

When Zad mentioned getting a set of wheels, Claire raised both her eyebrows curiously. She was never able to get the knack of hotwiring, sadly. It was something she was quite pathetic at, truth be told. Looking at Tony when the other hunter mentioned him getting the check, Novak laughed softly, shaking her head. ā€œI would get both your meals, but Iā€™m a little short on cash myself.ā€ She murmured apologetically, turning to follow after Zad, her excitement mounting once more when she thought of her car being on its way. Before she started walking, she glanced back over her shoulder. ā€œReally, thanks for getting my car to me and all, Tony.ā€ She said sincerely, casting him a smile before heading towards the door. Noticing how nonchalant Zad was walking, Claire smirked a bit, speeding up and swiftly walking around him just to mess with the hunter, and get out to the parking lot first.

When she pushed through the door an immediate smile crossed her lips, feeling the fresh air and the sun on her face. She took a deep breath, then let out a content sigh before casting a glance around the parking lot. ā€œWhich one you thinking?ā€ she mused to Zad once he walked outside, eyes sweeping the area, looking for a nice car.

Typical human reaction to want to make everything a competition. Was Claire beautiful? Absolutely, but Anthony had just met her, and in no way, shape, or form was he trying to win her over. He was a nice guy, he enjoyed the finer things in life, he could be considered rich to those who knew him on that level, and he was an amazing hunter with inhuman skills, so why among the top things one would think would Zad think that Anthony was trying to win some contest to date Claire? Was the girl even single? She could have an estranged relationship with some guy who would show up later on. As of this moment, Anthony didnā€™t have much time for relationships. While it was true that he missed his ex-boyfriend like crazy, the reality that he would live far beyond the life of any mortal he took as his mate was always in the back of his mind and caused him to take the single route often.

Silently he watched Zad and Claire after making the call for one of his contacts to deliver the car to the diner. Little did Zad and Claire know that magic was at work. He wasnā€™t the god of magic for no reason. Smiling when they looked at him, he watched as Zad stood up and stretched. For some odd and unexplainable reason Zadā€™s shirt lifted slightly to reveal the line just above his belt that showed a bit of the V that he probably worked hard to accomplish. Anthony took note of it and smirked. Zad was stunningly sexy as well. His eyes were overkill to any singular soul who needed a good one night stand, but to him Zad was more than just someone to have an occasional round with. Hell Zad wasnā€™t much his type anyways, but those eyes and the fact that there was something different about Zad drew Anthony near. If only Zad played for the other team like Anthony did. If only he explored his bisexuality to new heights, Anthony would show him things he could only dream of. He laughed mentally as he thought of the naughty things he Claire and Zad couldā€™ve done, all at the sight of that revealing stretch Zad performed.

His mind shot back to reality and the issue at hand when Claire began to speak. Anthony ran a free hand through his hair realizing he was probably staring at Zadā€™s zipper for far too long. On top of that Zad was calling in a favor. He wanted Anthony to get the check. Anthony closed his eyes for a moment and sighed as he watched Claire and Zad leave the diner, leaving him to pay for the food, to which he did with little effort. Hell, he had a vast amount of money to blow anyways, so why not pay for the meal? He paid the cashier and left a nice tip as he stood up as well and followed behind the duo. While they waited on Claireā€™s car to get to the diner, Zad had plans on hotwiring a vehicle so that when Claireā€™s personal belongings arrived, theyā€™d have wheels to get out of dodge with. Anthony rolled his eyes at Zad though, as the male was only trying to impress Claire with his macho man persona.

ā€œPlease donā€™t electrocute yourself Zad, we might need you on this night club thing,ā€ Anthony stated as he breathed in the fresh air that outside world provided. He hoped Claire didnā€™t think he was trying to woo her by any means. He considered Zad and Claire associates, moving up to becoming friends, he considered loyalty a big thing and while he wasnā€™t completely honest about whom he was, everything else about Anthony was an open book for those around him. Their thoughts did intrigue him though, and he wondered what else they would think as time went on.

ā€œZad seriously though if you get caught Iā€™m not bailing you out, but Iā€™ll gladly watch as the guy beats your ass,ā€ Anthony joked as they walked around looking for a car.

Zad practically bounced up and down in his boots, his body vibrating with excitement. Say what you will about this ex-angel, but mortal or no, he was still an adrenaline junkie. Now perhaps this was because as a creature with a body used to fighting the ever waging battles of Heaven, no normal mundane life would suit, even if he couldn't recall anything more. Or maybe growing up with a hunter's life left him predisposed to enjoy illegalities, either way, he near constantly jonesed to misbehave and wreak havoc, anything to get his heart rate jumping. Neither of these things had much to do with his desire to unremittingly be at the center of everyone's attentions, and yet here he was, prepared to show off. Perhaps that was just a Zad centric thing.

His eyes raked over the parking lot, ever aware of the two sets burning a hole into his back. He had to be quick least they get caught, and efficient least he be viewed as unimpressive after all that bragging. That was when he spotted it, the car he'd be taking. It was a dusty, beat up, old blue 1969 Camaro in need of a fresh coat of paint, but what better were you going to find out there all the way in nowheresville? Wordlessly, he stalked over to his prize, lock pick already in hand that he had retrieved from it's home nestled in his back pocket. Who wasn't a fan of old classic muscle cars? It was perfect. After putting the pick in place, it only took a minute before the door noisily creaked open and he was in.

ImageWith a quick second scan of his surroundings, to be sure he had yet to be spotted, he set to work. First, he'd have to remove the pesky panels that were covering the wires he needed to get to. Zad did so with gentle, nimble fingers, not wanting to leave any lasting damage, that'd be a real crime in his eyes as opposed to the technical one he was committing just then. It was simple enough, nothing overtly complicated. Once he was done with that, the wires visible and ready to be tampered with, things got a bit more labyrinthine. There were three pairs of wires, the first of which wasn't of great importance at the moment, it was the second and third set he wanted. One of those two were what would supply power to the car and the other would start it. Usually the pair to power the car was red, so he began there.

Zad carefully disconnected the wires and removed the plastic from the ends, before twisting them together. The point to doing that was immediately made obvious when the dash and the lights lit up. In a sudden jolt of excitement, he accidentally brushed up against the exposed wires and fried his fingertips. "Ouch!" He barked under his breath. "You sodding heap of wet dog shite." He rolled his eyes, internal clock ticking and encouraging him to press forward. There wasn't time to get bent out of shape over a few lost nerve endings. Now all that was left was to ignite the engine and to do that he needed to take the other pair of wires, the brown set, and strip the insulation off the ends with his teeth. He'd touch them together, and once there was a spark and the car started, he'd have to shove the wires out of the way so he could drive...or so he thought. When he got that far and gingerly tapped the ends of the exposed wires, he got nothing. A big fat zip. Zilch. He panicked for half a second before he attempted it a second time, then a third before he was successful. Whew! It was like riding a bike, you never really forgot how...it just took a moment to get back in the swing of things. He lifted himself out of the vehicle, face beaming with pride. "Your chariot awaits M'lady." Zad proclaimed with a wide sweeping gesture of his arm, practically bowing before he tossed an errant wink at Anthony behind her.

There wasnā€™t much to worry about with Zad out here stealing cars. If push came to shove Anthony would just knock the guy out, but there wasnā€™t much he could do to supply them with transportation, after all, he had teleported there in the first place, so what was he going to do tell them both that heā€™s a deity and that heā€™ll transport them all there? Heā€™d rather drink toxins before doing something so revealing and stupid. Still, with his arms crossed across his chest, he marveled at Zad. The guy was very good with his hands, at least thatā€™s what he thought until he heard Zadā€™s pathetic attempt at muffling the ā€œouchā€ that resonated from his mouth. Anthony chuckled and shook his head.

ā€œI told you not to electrocute yourself,ā€ Anthony said a slight bit of ā€˜I told you soā€™ was laced in the tone of his voice, but he already knew when he said ā€˜ouchā€™ that Anthony would have something to say. Just around the time Zad got the car cranked, Claireā€™s vehicle came attached to a tow truck. The poor mind controlled man didnā€™t know what was going on; all he did was what Anthony instructed him to do via mental link. He watched his subject as he released the truck and then drove off without another word.

ā€œHmm, must be in a hurry,ā€ Anthony said to cover his own tracks, ā€œhis wife is pregnant so Iā€™m sure thatā€™s whatā€™s going on.ā€

Oh the lies he could tell, and he laced them so effectively that even a genius would believe him. He had lived long enough to know what humans believed and what they didnā€™t. Funny how they still didnā€™t want to believe in the supernatural unless it was occurring right in front of them. Anthon always wondered why no one believed in things they couldnā€™t see. Itā€™s not like one could see oxygen, but it was there, created to provide them sustainable life. They believed in oxygen, they studied it, yet why when demons, vampires, wendigos and the like slaughtered many they put it on another human, or an animal, only those creatures could have caused something, but boy were those who didnā€™t know about the supernatural wrong. He was deep in thought again and hadnā€™t paid any attention to Claire as she climbed onto the bed of her truck, or Zad who had the Cheshire grin of accomplishment on his face, no instead Anthony simply walked over to the car that Zad had hotwired and leaned against the trunk.

ā€œCan we go now, Iā€™m not getting any younger,ā€ Anthony stated, having felt the thoughts of both Zad and Claire enter his head. This was indeed interesting. Claire didnā€™t have any anti-possession tattoos, and if she went into this so called cave of demons, it could very well end badly for her. He wanted to say something, but if he did she would get suspicious, so instead he found another way to ask that would be more like a question than a statement. ā€œSo we all ready? Everyone got their anti-possession tattoos? Their weapons? Their attitudes and their chants ready?ā€ he said to both of them. Hopefully Claire and Zad would be straight up with their responses. If Claire didnā€™t have the tattoo he was sure someone could tattoo it on her before they went to this place, or he could try and protect her frail human body from possession on this mission. Either way she was going, not taking her was out of the question.

Zad rolled his eyes dramatically at the unsaid 'I told you so' woven into Tony's tone. "Hey! I didn't see you, pretty boy, climbing into this dusty old beater and shocking yerself to get us on the road." His accent seemed to thicken and weigh down his tongue when he felt affronted, as it did now. How odd that between the three of them, not one individual had had a vehicle to speak of. It was also fairly strange that Anthony was a 'pretty boy' in a sense. He never appeared haggard or weathered, not even worn out. Hell, Zad wasn't a terrible looker himself, but he was hardly put together constantly, perfectly. It was a rough gig, hunting. What hunter could manage that...it was practically supernatural...he dismissed the lingering notion, that feeling of unease. Zad just needed to catch him off guard and snap a picture when he looked worse for wear. Evidence for the world to see! Anthony Romero was not perfect, not some god-like creature of perfection.

Image
ImageClaire grabbed her things, the necessities, and joined the huddle. He had half considered offering to give her a hand, but knowing what little he knew of her character already, she might have seen that more as a insult than a kindness. She could handle herself just fine. ā€œCan we go now, Iā€™m not getting any younger,ā€ Anthony whined like a petulant toddler up well passed his bed time. Zad flashed him his signature devil-may-care grin and clambered into the driver seat, willing them to fight over who rode shot-gun. ā€œSo we all ready? Everyone got their anti-possession tattoos? Their weapons? Their attitudes and their chants ready?ā€ "Mate. Seriously? Get yer arse in the car! I'm not getting busted out here because you wanted to go over a check list." He laughed. It was an odd set of questions to be sure, what hunter would waltz up in a hotspot with no protection and no weaponry?
