Isabella 'Precious' Johnson

I'm Precious, literally, my nickname is Precious. I'm 16 years old, and clearly I'm female. I'm from district 1, and my throwing aim is spot on. Get in my way, and your dead.

Description

Image
age: 16

gender: female

district: 1, luxury

advantage: My aim is spot on. If I throw something, it will hit it's target spot on. I'm not so good with that dinky bow an arrow, but knife throwing? You are pretty much considered dead. I like the small tiny knives that you can just flick off your fingers and they lodge deep in your throat and you bleed and fall to the ground and are dead in minutes. Yes, those knives are perfect. Bigger knives are good, but harder to throw. But get in my was and you are dead.

appearance: She has somewhat pale skin and long flowing blonde hair. She ties her hair up in two long flowing pigtails, an easy way to deceive her enemies. She is 5 foot 4, an average height, but she is slender and nimble. He arms are muscular from years of practice throwing knives and maces and other weapons. Her legs are also muscular, but not as strong as her upper body. She is fit and well fed. She is beautiful and attractive. She is very alluring because of her hair, her breasts, and her beautiful glowing blue eyes. She often times wears clothes that complement her curves.

pin/idol from district: She has a long silver chain necklace with a sapphire pendant on the end.

personality: She is very snooty, very stuck up, very mean, very independent, very clever, very athletic, and very deceitful. She is a career through and through. She doesn't like to rely on others for help. She will only help someone if they have helped them. She uses the eye for an eye, you owe me I owe you, as her way of helping others. She is cruel and merciless, and just wants the prize so her family will be proud of her. she can easily deceive her enemies, especially since she is actually quite clever. Arrogant and deceitful, not to mention proud, she is not one to be trusted

weapon of choice: small daggers. They are easy to throw and can cause some serious damage.

history: Born in a rich district, she has never need to use tessera. In fact, she has many luxuries, and being an only child, she decided that she would participate in the hunger games. She trained with her father since she was very little. When the time came she volunteered and now is her time for glory.

Precious twiddled her hair. She hated the name Isabella, so she always just used her middle name: Precious. She impatiently tapped her feet as the went through the same boring speech like they did every year. She looked over to her parents. Her dad held a thumbs up and her mom smiled meekly. She flashed a smile back to them, and then concentrated on the speech again. She played with her necklace and zoned out again. This was boring, get to the good stuff!

"Ladies first"

The voice echoed through the town square and she smiled. Now was her time to shine. Now would be the time she finally made her parents proud. She stood up straight and tall, confident. She watched as the capitol lady dug her hand into the bowl and pulled out a name.

"Emily Harting"

A little 12 year old girl stood frozen. She started to cry. Oh wah, poor baby. Precious walked forward and pushed the girl out of the way. "I would like to volunteer as tribute!" She said confidently. She raised her fist in the air and the crowd cheered. She walked up to the stage and rose her fist again, and the crowd went wild. She smiled and the capitol lady was clearly exited that district 1's tribute wasn't a weak little 12 year old.

She confidently walked off the stage with the boy tribute and they were ushered into the Justice building. She already had her representation of this district. She inspected her necklace again, a sapphire pendant. Very beautiful, and very Precious. She looked up as her parents walked in.

"Oh honey we are so proud of you!"

Precious enjoyed the short train ride to the capitol. even her district didn't have some of this high tech stuff. She sat down in a comfortable chair and clicked on previous Hunger Games. She ate a peach cobbler and cleaned under her nails with a sharp knife. When would they air the reapings of the districts? She wanted to know what she is up against. She heard the canon fire from the Television and she flicked her wrist. The knife went flying and snatched a flower from a vase. The knife and flower went flying into the wall and lodged itself in the exact middle of one panel. The punctured flower hung limply on the knife. She set her cobbler down and walked over to her knife. She pulled it from the wall and the flower fell to the ground. She finished her cobbler and continued watching the previous hunger games. They canon fired again and she flicked her wrist. The knife went flying and lodged itself into the wall, another flower dangling from it. And that is how she practiced her knife throwing. On each canon ire she flicked her wrist and another flower would be removed front he vase.

She was down to the final two, and as the canon fired she flicked her wrist and the the vase exploded into shatters of glass. She retrieved her knife and just then the capitol lady that announced the names walked in, wearing a small, ridiculous hat. She flicked the knife from her hand and the knife caught the hat and lodged itself into the wall behind her. The capitol lady shrieked and felt the top of her head. The lady looked behind her and pulled at the knife in the wall. It slowly came loose and she retrieved her hat, which now had a hole in it. The capitol lady held the knife out to her, its blade lazily lolling around. The lady scowled at her and wagged the knife as if it was a finger. Precious snatched the knife from her and smiled. The Capitol lady glared and walked into the next car. Precious sat back down, her hands behind her head. The games were going to be fun.

(((OOC: THIS IS PRETTY MUCH SAYING THAT YOU CAN POST ABOUT TRAINING AND INTERACTING WITH OTHERS. I STILL NEED PEOPLE TO SEND IN WHAT WOULD HAPPEN DURING THE PRIVATE TRAINING WHICH THE GAME MAKERS WATCH.)))

The training room was packed with people. A couple of them sort of looked strong. A big burly kid especially stood out above the crowd. She saw another girl who practiced knife throwing with her. She wasn't that bad. There were some others who might have a chance, but most likely not. She felt embarrassed for the other kid from one. He wasn't nearly a career. She looked around at the pitiful crowd and shifted the knife in hand. She flicked her wrist and it landed dead center in the middle of the chest, in the hard. A couple stopped and looked her way. She grinned.

Cassius looked at everyone around him, everyone seemed smaller compared to him. There were a couple standouts, but none really showed the same level of strength as him. He saw the girl from his district, who he hadn't talked to yet. Cassius had seen her before around the district where they were from, but she was not much more than a familiar face. He could feel that people's eyes were on him, but of course they were, he was the tallest in the room. He felt a bit nervous, he felt like they were looking for a weakness. Cassius had originally intended to work on his leg strength while he was training, but he didn't want anyone to know it was his weakness. Instead Cassius decided to let everyone know he was the competitor everyone else should stay away from.

Cassius silently made his way to a punching bag, which was undoubtedly brought in for him. Cassius didn't really know how to talk to anyone, so the thought hadn't even crossed his mind as he passed by people without even giving them the slightest look. When he took the final steps towards the bag he placed his hand on it and pushed it slightly to feel it's weight. "This is pretty good" Cassius said to himself before backing up and getting in to a fighting stance. The stance was mainly defensive, both arms up by the face, and slightly leaned forward so the body was partially covered. Cassius began counting series of two seconds as he bobbed and weaved in front of the bag. When he felt comfortable he let out a series of punches within those two seconds and made dodging movements at the end of each. He was showing off on how many punches he could throw in such a short amount of time, which was averaged at about seven. He didn't have much running speed, but his arms were fast for their size. The punches he thew were weaker than his strongest, they were intended to stun. He hadn't thrown any power shots just yet because he didn't want to reveal the full extent of his arms.

As I stood there waiting for the ceremony to be over I became nauseous. All the over-excited careers, all the scared little kids, it made me sick. "Emily Harting" Boomed over the announcements. A twelve-year old got up and started crying. Then as usual a cocky career walked up and volunteered. Everyone cheered over this girl for some reason. I sighed. Is this going to be over soon, I thought to myself.
"Now for the gentlemen," the announcer said.

Marth Telman

I froze for a second. Then I began walking up to the stand. My heart was beating normally. I wasn't suprised I wasn't afraid. I just wanted to walk. I was surprised when no one volunteered in my place. I mean, every kid over 14 in District 1 wants to be in the Hunger Games. The girl who was chosen was up on the stand already. She was beautiful. Her smile was amazing, but I could see in her eyes that she was just like all the other people there. As we both were escorted off into the Justice building, I saw her parents walk in they both seemed very proud of her daughter. They said went on talking to her cooing over her. Then there stood me. I was alone. I waited for something good to happen but nothing did.

After I had a chance to say goodbye to my bum family. I was escort brought to a train. I knew this would lead to my training and whatever entailed. I took one last look back at the world as I knew it and stepped onto the train. Everything there was pure luxury. I hadn't seen half the things on that train in 9 years. I didn't eat anything except bread. As the train ride progressed I only left my cabin to eat. I slept and read all the other time. I knew that if I was going to at least be able to survive for a minute I have to know what happens during the Hunger Games?

Well, training was different than I expected.
It was silent, for sure, all the tributes didn't really intereact with one another. But well I wanted to get to know these people. Sort of a tactic, I suppose. To find out their strengths and weaknesses, before the games, so I know who to look out for.
I know what I signed myself up for, but I didn't want to start to kill until there's a handful of us left, then I'll try to conquer them, but for now I have to start training.
Looking around at all the things to do, I was surprised.
The tributes were starting to form a huddle. I could tell some of the other districts were there. When I arrived the instructer began to talk about all the different activities for us. While there, I couldn't help but look around at them all. The people were all different from one another, I could tell that-quite a lot of smaller tributes. But the boy tribute from my district was what stunned me the most of them all. He was big. Then I thought, Immediate winner over here, guys, and smirked at my idea. Knowing that most of the time, it's the unlikely ones that win the games in the thirty two other years, that I've watched, but then again, there's always a first for everything. But he could win, if he joined the Careers. I mean he's from district two, he could join them, look at him, who wouldn't want him on their side? Well, we were in the same district, maybe I could use my plan on him, at least then I could come second, right? My mind wondered back to Earth again. I tried to focus on what they were huddling around. Then the instructer finished his speech and the circle split.
I saw all the different tributes going to other equipment. I stood there for a few seconds watching them all. I first saw two girls walk straight to the knife throwing. One was ok, the other I could tell was from district 1. Career I thought. She hit the knife right at the target.
I watched some others-they seemed hopeless, probably from the other districts the Careers weren't. Then I spotted him.
That big dude from my district. I'd seen him around, flashes of memories couldn't quite patch together.
I walked over to him, punching away, I didn't want to distract him-he could knock me out before the games begin!
There was another activity near him. Spear throwing! Yes a strength of yours... I smiled. I saw one or two other tributes there and waited for them to throw. I hadn't seen them hit the target but they weren't far from it.
I picked up a spear. I threw with precise precision and hit it at the target in one shot. I grinned, it was the best I've done yet! Probably cause I was trying to show off, so the others could see I was fierce and didn't need to join the Careers. I think I made a racket because everyone starred.
I looked over to Cassius and smiled. Hoping he'd smile back for an invitation on my plan.

Precious looked over to the girl and boy from district two. The boy was great, she should probably talk him into being one of the careers. The wasn't that bad either. She was very good at throwing a spear. She was spot on. Precious had tried spears before, and most of the time they hit the target, but she preferred small knives. The knife throwing girl beside her was ok, so she might talk to her. She was going to completely avoid the boy from her district, a weak little thing. She noticed the two tributes from 2 talking, so she better act quick. She sauntered over to them and raised her eyebrows. "I see you two might have a chance. How would go guys like to be a career, and have an easy time of it in the arena?" Then she leaned in so only they could hear. "If you don't join, I might have to kill you." She leaned back and winked. "Your choice." She folded her hands in front of her and smiled.

Cassius was happy that someone approached him without showing any type of fear. Just as he was about to shake Crystal's hand and introduce himself, another girl approached. The blonde girl immediately offered them to be part of the careers. Cassius didn't like the way she put it, as if they didn't join she would automatically kill them.

Cassius dropped his hand before he could shake Crystal's. "Last time I checked there can only be one winner, so regardless if we join up with you or not you're going to have to try and kill us eventually...unless you don't plan on winning." Cassius said as he turned to the punching bag again and started taking a couple shots. Cassius took a moment to think as he wailed on the bag. The feeling of being apart of something appealed to Cassius, even if they weren't really friends it was the closest thing he had to it. It also would raise his chances of winning if he had less people trying to kill him at the start and he was a big target. Cassius stopped the bag with both hands on the side of it. "As for your offer to become a career, I'll take it. My name's Cassius." Cassius said as he extended his hand towards the blonde girl. This would have been the exact greeting Cassius would have used on Crystal if Precious hadn't shown up just before.

Precious shook his hand. She almost let out a sigh of relief. Going up against him would had been hard. Going with him is going to be amazing. "Good. My name is Isabella, but I don't really like that name, and my middle name is Precious, so I just go by precious." She turned to the girl from district to. "I extend this offer to you, also. Think it over if you have to." She nodded and another figure caught her eye. The guy from district 6. She remembered him from watching the reaping. A little 12 year old had been called and he had volunteered. And by the looks of things, he was good. Exceedingly fast. You could just tell whenever he was fighting, he was dipping and dodging and slicing so fast I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Not only that, but he was quick on his feet. The climbing wall he aced in seconds. She smiled. "Looks like the guy from six is pretty good. I think I might extend the invitation to him too." She flitted away and approached the male tribute from six. Yoou could see them talking for a bit, and then he shakes her hand and she smiled.

Harper

The train ride was something else. He had never eaten so much in his life. He knew the other girl tribute, but not very well. He knew that she didn't have any parents, at least that was what he thought, and that she was just as good a swimmer as he. Also good with spears. But he didn't talk to her much. Too busy stuffing his face.

His mentor was a middle-aged woman named Mags. She had won one of the first few Hunger Games, and although a bit....strange....she seemed to know what she was talking about. Her hook making skills were definitely not to be laughed at.

He managed to forget that he was going to a match where he'd be killed, talking about it with his mentor hypothetically. Now, as he entered the training room, it began to hit him how real this was.

The other tributes looked....how should he say this...a hell of a lot more ready than him. He knew his district had schools where they trained you to be top-notch tribute material. Harper never had any interest for it. Competition was annoying. Suddenly, he realized that after he had been picked, no one volunteered....huh. Guess he was really as annoying and useless as his father typically said he was.

Still, his father had given him some potentially life-saving advice. It wouldn't do to be mad at him. He stood up straight and tried not to look like such a pathetic weakling. Still, the sight of the tall muscled guy boxing a punching bag to bits wasn't helping.

He decided to go to the knots section. This, at least, he knew how to do. He had never picked up a sword, or strung an arrow before. The thought of doing so on a person made him a bit sick. This was really not what he was cut out for. Mags had advised that he not show off too much, since the element of surprise could save your life. Being surrounded by these A-type personalities just made him shrink away, no desire at all to pull a "hey, look what I can do!" He quietly made his knots, not really listening to the instructor. Please, he thought, [i]I've been making fishing nets since I was three. Not the best in my district, but not bad either.[i]

What he was really trying to listen to was the group of tributes that had gathered by the big guy. There was a blonde and a brunette girl there. The blonde one did most of the talking. She looked...unsavory. Something about her made Harper dislike her already. Were they making alliances already? The Careers, probably. He figured he didn't even need to worry about them trying to recruit him. He wasn't exactly that type of material.

Lissy

Ugh. This Griff guy is going to get on my nerves.

Sure. He was handsome. I guess. Maybe for some people. I had seen him around before, and a couple of my girl friends (of which I didn't have very many) would oggle him whenever he walked by. But now that I was here, up close to him, I realized that was the only good thing about him. The whole train ride, he wouldn't shut up about fashion. He didn't seem to like me too much. I can't really blame him. I wear whatever the hell I want, fashionable or not. He nearly died of excitement when we reached the Capitol.

I was homesick. I missed my family, the whole rambunctious lot. It was rare to have such a normal family. At least, that was what I thought. That we were normal. Both parents. Plenty of siblings. An unbelievable streak of luck. Of course, it had to end with me.

Well, maybe this was actually a good thing. Maybe it was one of those fate things Mom always talked about, that good things were still waiting for me. Perhaps I'd win this? It was a stretch, both to say this was a good thing and to think I could win it. I was so small. Too small. And one of the youngest. I had seen the tapes of the other tributes. Most of them were older than 15. Griff was 17. There was one girl, the one from District 12, that was younger than me. 12, from 12. She was almost as small as I was, maybe even smaller. I felt sorry for her. She was sure to be singled out. There were about two other people my age, one from also from 12, and the other a small guy from 1 (which frankly surprised me), and one 14 year old girl from 10. I might have missed some, but those were the ones that stuck out. Everyone else was older. So, what, that was five people, out of 24, younger than everyone else. It was disheartening to say the least.

By the time I got to training, it was bustling with people. I recognized most of them from their tapes. There was that big guy from 2. I think everyone remembered him. The devious looking girl from 1 who volunteered. The boy from 4 who took forever to realize he had been picked. The small guy from 1, who the girl seemed to be avoiding. The other girl from 2. And many, many others.

It looked like the Careers were already forming. I didn't doubt the girl from 1 for going to the big guy. He'd be a powerful asset. I involuntarily imagined myself as the punching bag he was hitting, and the result wasn't pretty. I liked to think, though, that it would take a lot of punches to take me down.

I didn't want to reveal my stamina here, since that was my real advantage. My mentor had agreed as well. Griff knew about it, I think. Knew of it. He seemed in love with the idea that the Capitol would find him so gorgeous that sponsors would come flocking to him, providing for him. I thought he was dreaming, but whatever. If he died when reality hit, it'd be one last person I might have to face or kill.

I went to the 'various weapons' area. Apparently, slingshots weren't a popular choice for the games. I picked out a sling. I didn't want to show off, but I didn't want to be ignored either. I wanted everyone to think twice before underestimating me. I knew my appearance was a huge disadvantage. I mean, come on, I look like a China doll. And not in a good way.

I picked a target, and effortlessly slung the rock. It hit squarely, almost lodging itself. It did leave a dent, which I was happy about. I grinned, and continued slinging, hitting the targets every time.

As the tributes started to train I walked to the survival training areas. I knew that the Hunger Games weren't about killing as many people as possible, it was about outsmarting them. I looked around at some of the other tributes. Precious was trying to get more people to manipulate on her side. She headed strait towards the shy boxer who was beating the s*** out of a boxing bag. Obviously, she was tricking him into becoming one of her minions. Also the girl from District 2 was also looking to get in on the action. After training for a couple minutes with a sword, I began to socialize with the othe tributes. I didn't want to be on a team like Precious, I just wanted some company. I scanned the training ground and spotted the girl from District five. She seemed like someone who would like to chat. I walked slowly over. "Hey!" I said in a cheery tone towards her general direction. She turned around. "How's it going?..... Other than, you know, being picked out of all the kids in your district to be sent to the hellhole," I asked.

Lissy

I smiled slightly at the District 1 boy's joke. I was just thinking about introducing myself to him, too. I guess he beat me to it. His sense of humor was nice too. The fact that he was male, helped. I tend to make better friends with guys than girls. Girls were just too....prissy. And although I knew that after the next few weeks I'd be in a death match with him, I figured it wouldn't hurt to get to know him just a little. Maybe not on a personal level, but acquaintances wouldn't hurt. It wasn't like I had a whole life ahead of me to make friends, anyways.

"Well, when you factor that out, I'm doing great," I replied, waiting patiently as he neared, "It kinda sucks though. I'm the youngest out of 6 kids, and everyone but me got by safely. So much for luck." She swung her empty sling back and forth, hand on her hip. "What about you? I noticed you were yet another who failed to get a volunteer in your place, despite your District's reputation." She eyed the District 4 boy tying knots as she said this. He was from another Career district, but oddly no one volunteered for him.

She turned back to the younger boy. "Can't suppose I could have your name?" she asked, "I like to know who exactly I'm up against." She herself held out a hand, "Mine's Felicity, officially. But you can call me Lissy. Or Lissy Doll, if you want to be particularly endearing." She winked and smiled toothily.

"Well, My name is Marth and it is a pleasure to meet you," I said as I shook her hand. "Hey, do you mind if I call you Felicity? I like that name," I said with a smile. "My story pretty much is I'm an homeless orphan. Also, I think the reason that no one volunteered in my place is everyone figured the could rely on Precious over their to win and didn't mind also having a smudge wiped off their perfect district," I said suddenly bitter. I decided to try an change the subject. "I can pretty much guarantee that The boy tribute from District Two is going to beat me to a pulp sometime within this thing," I said as I glanced and motioned over to Cassius. I just know that it will happen no mater what happens. "How about you anyone you're keeping your eye on?" I said wondering if she was just as nervous about being challenged to a death match with 23 other kids.

Lissy

Lissy shrugged. "Sure. I don't really care," she smiled again, "At least I'll always know who's calling me." She frowned a bit when she heard his story. No parents? She couldn't even imagine her life without hers. He seemed to hold some animosity towards the District 1 girl, Precious apparently. Lissy glanced at her.

Marth changed the topic before she could comment. She followed his eyes to the huge boy from two. Yep. He was one to look out for. "Well, everyone, mostly," Lissy replied with a small laugh, "You see this stature?" she gestured to herself, "Not exactly the peak of athletic health, like some of these people are. Though if I had to narrow it down....." she lowered her voice a bit, "probably the Careers. They get pretty brutal." She brightened up a bit and added, "But! Even if I'm worried, I can't let them see it! If I'm gonna go, I'm not going without a fight!" She said this a little too loudly, and people were starting to stare. She just stared them back. "You heard me!" she barked, "So train your asses off, or you'll get beat by a fairy like me!"

She wasn't sure if that was the smartest thing to say to 23 people who were aiming to kill her anyways. But she didn't want them to think she was just some scared little tribute. She was a little, but she wasn't overly afraid. She didn't really think she'd win, but she sure as hell would try!

She turned to Marth, trying to ignore some of the still persisting stares. "So. What do you think the arena will be like?"

P.D was furiouse, she was just so mad she was chosen...,although she new she would win.She was in deep thought as she began to walk to the traing room in her black and red jumpsuit with her fiery red hair flowing as she walkedfastly. While she was in deep thought she bumped into a girl...ah yes..the girl from district six, with her hair up in a messy ponytail, the same jumpsuit and with her eyes watery."Watch it!" P.d shouted as she eyed the girl..obivously not the strongest."Or I will add you to my kill list."She hissed then walked into the training room.

As soon as she entered Palaina headed towerds the spears, ignoring the other people talking. She just wanted to get her anger out real quick,so she grabbed the longest spear and threw it into an area on the dummy...a critical hit,she thought and clenched her fists, letting out a sigh.Palaina brushed the bangs out of her hair and headed over to the group that was talking. She plastered a fake smile on her face and faced the group."Hii,sorry to intrued but,I'm Palaina, district four."she let a genuine smile cross her face as she held out a hand.

Elenour
Elenour sobbed as she was walking to the training room, ske knew she might die and she also knew she would leave her family forever. She bit her lip when,a fiery redhead bumped into her Watch it! she heard her say.Elenour was just about to say something when she said Or I will add you to my kill list.Elenour clenched her teeth in anger. As she watched the girl walk past her and enter the training room, she pounded her fist against a wall.

She entered the training room with red eyes and a messier ponytail than it was when she put it up.She walked past the group and over to the berries and nuts table. She quickly identified all of the nuts and berries excep one.Elenour pointed to an orange color berry, with a confused look on her face."Toxic?"she said outloud .The insructed nodded and smiled. She had a good feeling that she wouldn't die over toxic things. She then swiftly walked over to the knot tying section and waited for the district six male.

Well, a lot happened all over the training room.
My first big mistake was to actually get in before that girl from district one had actually gotten Cassius to be a Career! Well number one plan failed. He was supposed to be on my side. I was jealous-I never wanted Cassius to be a Career, he was supposed to protect me until the time was right for me to defend myself. I was outraged, she was the first I was gonna kill in the arena, no doubt.
I heard a bit more chatter going on in the room. I turned around to see the boy from district one had begun talking to a girl from district five. No offence, but they seemed like an easy target, maybe one of the firsts to go. But I couldn't be the one to talk, I would probably be killed with them. I could see Precious was trying to avoid asking him to be a Career, for sure. Well, at least some people were getting along.
Cassius then started to reply to me, I wanted to ignore him-but after all he never knew my scheme so I tried to pull a fake smile while he spoke.
"Nice to finally meet you, I've seen you around the district before. I guess we just never had the time to talk. As you already heard, I'm Cassius."
"Yeah," I said, shaking his hand.
Then everyone stared(I think), well Cassius and I watched at this red haired girl from district four storm in and almost knock out a poor girl from district six, who had been crying, it was obvious. Ok, I have to admit, if Cassius doesn't win then this district four girl will. Look at her aggression! She immediately took a spear and threw it, I was taken aback. She then stormed toward us. I hope she wasn't gonna kill us too.
"Hii,sorry to intrued but,I'm Palaina, district four," she said.
I didn't know what to say. But I thought a bout it for a moment. Plan B. I was gonna try my tactic on her, if Precious didn't want her as a Career, I was gonna take her, I had to get in there quick-act fast.
"Hi, I'm Crystal, District two," I said, ignoring Cassius. I smiled hoping she'd take my side first, I needed her if I wanted to win the game, of course.

Precious was talking to the male from district six, when the girl from district four practically begged her to be a career. She was perfect! Angry, and good at spear throwing. Immediately, Crystal talked to her. She frowned and walked over there, positioning herself at the knife throwing, next to the spear throwing. She threw a few knifes, dead in the chest. She casually stopped to watch the girl throw a spear, and then spoke up. "Hey, your pretty good. I've tried spear throwing before, but I was never that good. You, you are amazing. How would you like to work with me, Cassius over there, and the guy from district six?" She asked, pointing to Cassius, and then pointing to John, who was climbing up the climbing wall super fast. She felt bad for leaving Cassius right after forming an alliance with him, but she needed to make other alliances.

Cassius watched as Crystal just completely disregarded him. "She was so friendly and eager to talk before I talked to Precious" Cassius thought to himself. He realized what type of game this was. Everyone here was out for themselves, nothing genuine about their actions except selfishness. It pissed Cassius off a bit as he clenched his fists. Sure he was out to win the game like everyone else, but he was only out to win it so that his father could have a better life in return.

He was happy that Precious extended an alliance to him because it made him feel like he belonged, but he was more happy to see that Crystal talked to him. He assumed that someone from his district would actually be nice to him. He wasn't mad at Crystal, he was more mad for believing in his own assumption. Cassius suddenly turned away from Crystal's direction and hit the punching bag with a hard overhand right. The sound of the impact sent a loud pop throughout the room as the metal chain holding the bag popped. The bag fell to the ground rolled away from Cassius. He stared at the bag for a moment, feeling much better than he did before.

Since the bag was now broken, he obviously couldn't work on his boxing, which really wasn't needed in the first place. "Well I could work on my running speed I guess, but that's not gonna get much better in this short amount of time." Cassius began to think to himself. Cassius looked over to the weapons rack that had a single sledgehammer on it. This sledgehammer was metal all over, the handle, and the huge hammerhead. Cassius walked towards it and picked it up, it felt like the perfect weight. It wasn't too heavy so that his swings were slow, but it wasn't too light so that it wouldn't do heavy damage on impact. Cassius had never used a sledgehammer on a person, so it would probably be good to train for that. However all the equipment in the facility looked sort of fragile, if Cassius were to swing this at something it would more than likely break,

Precious smiled to her. "I know that we will all end up killing each other in the end, but you will last longer with us. And then who knows? You might win! Think it over." She smiled again and went back to her knife throwing. After becoming bored with throwing knives, she decided to check the other areas. There was boxing, archery, sword practicing, fire starting, knot tying, and many others. She figured she should try something not combat related, just in case. She went to the fire starting area and listened impatiently.
