Appearance: Even for a twelve-year-old, Vinsant is smaller than usual. His blonde, shaggy hair covers most of his face. It tends to get brighter in the sunlight, and fade in the darkness. He has piercing blue eyes that are tiny in size. He has a constant look of anxiety on his face, despite whatever mood he is in. Vinsant may look slender and scrawny, but he is actually quite fit for his age. After all, the twelve-year-old does hail from district 2, perhaps the most feared district in Panem.

Personality: To say the least, Vinsant is an actor in a variety of ways. First off, the twelve-year-old boy is very dramatic, (sometimes even over-dramatic) and seems to take everything to heart. That being said, he's easy to make friends with, but not so easy to keep, as his attention and energy flies all over the place. He doesn't naturally have a tough demeanor, but when he feels like it, he will pretend to be tough. This often times wins him admirers who just think he's absolutely adorable. Vinsant is also an actor in the fact that he is able to manipulate people into thinking he is harmless. When people think of district 2, they think of huge warriors, ready to kill. Vinsant seems to be the opposite of that. However, with his quick-wittedness and his cunning mind, he's not so easy to take down. In fact, with his never-ending energy, he can be just like a fly buzzing around your head. Another thing about Vinsant and his dramaticness is that he sets EXTREMElY high goals for himself and always pushes himself to the limit. Vinsant actually volunteered at the 89th Hunger Games reaping in District 2 because he felt like he could bring honor to his district. Some people respect him for his bold actions, others think he is insane...

History: Vinsant has a simple yet complex history. He doesn't like to talk about it much, as he is a move forward, 'don't think about the past only the future' kind of kid. All he knows is that his father was a blacksmith, his grandfather was a peacekeeper, and his mother was a stay-at-home mom. His dad used to treat his mother harshly at times, but he never thought anything of it. It's just the way life always seemed to be. Vinsant would spend the days playing with his friends. They would play fun games that included wrestling and swordfighting. (Sometimes with real swords if they were lucky.) As time passed, Vinsant kept hearing strange rumors throughout his small village. The rumors pertained to his father, and how his business was cheating off of people money-wise. Those days were rough. Vinsant's dad privately taught him how to blacksmith. He kept telling him strange things, like that Vinsant needed to carry on from where he had left off. He was scared and confused by his father's words, but being obedient, Vinsant agreed to whatever his father said. Then, one day, his father had left. Vinsant's mother had told him that his father had been taken to the capitol for his amazing work in blacksmithing. However, Vinsant was skeptical and assumed that something else. He believes that his father was persecuted by peacekeepers.

As Vinsant trained hard every day at the District 2 academy where he learned to handle weapons and fight, there was never a day that he didn't think about his father. He didn't miss him, he just thought about him....

A year later, Vinsant volunteered as tribute for the 89th Hunger Games.

Preferred weapon: Hailing from District 2, Vinsant has been trained to use an arsenal of weapons. He has used a variety of weapons, from swords, to bow and arrows, to small daggers. Although he feels proficient with melee weapons such as swords and maces, Vinsant knows that in the arena, the weapons will most likely be too big for him. Therefore, he has decided to rely on weapons that require accuracy and aim. The obvious choice would be throwing knives, but he isn't the greatest at putting a spin on the knives. (On an unrelated note, him and his friends view throwing knives as a "feminine" weapon, so he wouldn't use them anyway.) Instead, Vinsant has decided to stick with weapons such as blowguns and slingshots. Not only are they easy for him to use, but they compliment his strengths of speed and stealth.
