Scars: Long, Diagonal, Right Calf – Horizontal, Across Left Palm
♣Description – Seiji seems to be rather tall, reaching five feet and ten inches in height, while weighing around one hundred and forty pounds in weight. He appears slightly toned with muscle, not too muscular, but not all flab either. His hair is a dark black color, and is beginning to become lengthy, occasionally falling over his eyes (he's always running his hands through his hair to keep it away), but he refuses to cut it. His eyes are light grey, and seem to always be searching, or examining each person he comes across. Seiji has a long, diagnol scar down his right calf, curling around from his ankle up to just below his knee, and is quite easy to see. Another scar lays horizontally on the palm of his hand. His ears are pierced, both having three piercings each. Along with all of that, Seiji has a tattoo over his upper and mid back of two snakes, white and black in color, both curling around each other. They cover most of his upper/mid-back.
♣Preferred Clothing – Seiji tends to wear a red colored jacket that appears to be rather loose and comfortable, something he quite likes. He seems to find himself pushing the sleeves up to his elbows on the jacket, and leaving the jacket unzipped halfway (revealing a black shirt beneath), for no particular reason. His pants are black in color, and seem to be somewhat worn out, but he doesn't really care. A black watch sits on his right wrist, and he's always checking it for the time. He has a comfortable pair of black shoes that he finds easy to run around and move in, while also being comfortable to have stuck on when he's sitting around.
♣Oddities –
Eye Twitch/Irritation: Something others will easily notice, Seiji seems to have some kind of eye twitch, or irritation, that usually shows itself when he has a headache, or is confused, nervous, frustrated, or annoyed. It's usaully his right eye, and he's constantly rubbing it with the bottom of his palm.
Spacing Out: Seiji finds himself spacing out, sometimes at the most random moments (such as staring at a person, or at the teacher when they're teaching, when he's looking down at a paper or trying to do homework, etc). He blames it on his lack of sleep each night. It's quite easy to tell when he's spaced out, as his face goes blank, and he stops blinking.
Mumbling: Seiji seems to mumble to himself quite a bit, and it's usually pretty hard to figure out what he said, or is saying. It usually isn't that important, mainly just thoughts that escape his mind, or him trying to figure out some kind of process or problem out loud.
Insomniac: Seiji has a hard time sleeping at night. "A loud mind," would be one of the reasons. He can't seem to calm down his thoughts, and can't find himself able to relax at night. Once he actually falls asleep, he usually only has about three or four hours of rest, and it's never enough. (Days he can sleep in are his favorite, and there have actually been times he's slept through an entire day)
♣Skills –
Fighting Styles: Seiji has multiple fighting styles he uses. He learned all from a rather young age, and does quite well in each way.
High Stamina: Maybe this isn't a skill, but Seiji's stamina is quite high...meaning he won't exhaust in a fight or during training or excersize very easily. Once he does completely exhaust himself, though, it takes him a while to build back up all the energy.
High Pain Tolerance/Endurance: Seiji seems to be able to take quite a few hits or injuries, while still being able to carry on and not be too bugged by them. Of course, that doesn't mean they won't cause him pain at all. He just knows how to deal with them and ignore it until necessary.
♣Likes –
Music: Seiji's music taste ranges from classical piano and violin all the way to near heavy metal music, though he usually finds himself listening to the classical end of it. There's hardly a time when the male isn't listening to something.
Rain: He finds it rather relaxing and soothing, as well as a good way to calm himself down. He actually sleeps much better rainy nights.
Food: If you can make good food, or at least provide some kind of food, you can easily win over Seiji. He'll really eat almost anything, and loves to try new things. Just food.
Sleep: Because of the lack of sleep he seems to get, Seiji enjoys it very much, whenever he can get it. The days he can sleep in are his favorite.
♣Dislikes –
Cooking: As much as he loves food, people find it rather ironic that he hates cooking. Now, that doesn't mean he hates other people cooking, he just hates doing it himself. The mess he has to clean up, and the fact that he almost always burns his food is a big factor on that hate for it.
Messes: Some might call him a clean freak, but Seiji hates it when there are messes around him. He doesn't really deep clean everything, but he likes it to look nice, neat, and tidy. The places he stays at and/or lives in are always quite clean.
Crowds: Seiji hates crowded places. The loud noises, the cramped and claustrophobic feeling...not exactly his favorite. He tends to get awful headaches when around giant crowds, which usually leads to his eye twitching.
Reading: Seiji's never exactly been the best reader, and he finds it rather hard to read anything well. He usually stumbles over his words or stutters when he reads out loud, and reading in his head just gives him a major headache.
♣Hobbies –
Running: While many hate running, Seiji finds enjoyment in the activity, and occasionally, he might go running around somewhere, perhaps to pass time, or just to get some exersize in.
Drawing: It's more like simple sketches, but even so, Seiji likes to draw. It's a good way to spend his time, and he usually likes the turnout he gets. He's actually quite good at it, too.
Relaxing: Maybe this isn't a hobby, but Seiji enjoys relaxing, be it alone or with a friend or two. He finds it nice to be able to sit or lounge around, and perhaps catch up on some rest every now and then.
♣Phobia(s) –
Water: Seiji can't swim, at all, and his fear of drowning is obvious when he's around large bodies of water. He usually steers clear of the water's edge, and avoids anything relating that as much as he can.
Darkness: It isn't necessarily the actual fear of the dark. It's more a fear of what is or what could be in the dark. He usually sleeps with at least some kind of dim light on, and likes to be inside after the sun's gone down. Complete darkness usually puts him into a sort of panic.
Hospital Type Places: Places like the dentist, a doctor's office, or other things involving needles, pain, and other sketchy looking tools. He avoids them like the plague, and usually has to be dragged to places like that through force if necessary. (because of this he's always taking the best care of himself he can; his teeth are quite white)
♣Sexuality – Bisexual
♣Personality – Seiji would be known as the quiet, calm type...or at least, outwardly in appearance he would be. He's usually got on a neutral expression, occasionally a slight smile or frown, but nothing too extreme. He tend to keep his thoughts to himself, with the occasional mumble or two. For the most part, Seiji's pretty calm and collected, and isn't quick to turn to anger (at least on the outside) towards someone when he finds them annoying or frustrating (though many can tell if he's feeling that way on the inside due to his eye twitching). He usually likes to be alone, or with a friend or two, but he can't stand being around or stuck with big groups. The male is hardly a romatic or flirtatious person as well, and can sometimes seem pretty dense when it comes to those kinds of things, though if he does manage to get himself into that kind of a relationship, he would be sure to be as affectionate and as caring towards the person as he can, to hold up the relationship and make it as happy and positive as possible. Seiji seems to be a pretty observant person, whether it be in the battlefield or around new people. He likes to have a sense of what's going on around him, in a way to make himself more comfortable in a situation.
♣Relationship Status – Single
♣Family –
Mother: Nagisa Kumou – 45, Living
Father: Hikoyashi Kumou – 47, Living
Sister: Chi Kumou – 20, Living
♣Personal History – Seiji was born into a gang, if not mafia of sorts, literally known as the "Kumou Gang," the reason for the last name being his own was that his father and mother were the leaders of it. The gang was quite big in numbers, and seemed to have quite the influence in the city their territory was located in, especially money wise. That being so, the Kumou family was quite rich, and found it easy to come across money to pay for the usual things...hitmen, information, weapons, body guards...it was easy enough. Of course, Seiji was still young, so he didn't quite understand everything that was going on in his life that was much, much different from others. Yet, he wouldn't be like that forever.
At the age of ten, Seiji's father had sat him down one day to explain everything to him. What it meant to be apart of the gang, as well as one of the members of the head family...all the things that the gang did, their influences, where their money actually came from, and so many other things. To the young child, it was a bit startling, if not scary, but at the same time, he had already figured out some of the things for himself. He was surrounded by it nearly every day, and had occasionally heard his father's private discussions or meetings (of course Hikoyashi didn't know that)...and plenty of other things. He knew he was different from all of the other families and kids he'd seen outside of his home and in the city...at least enough to know that his family and family friends were far from normal. So, it didn't take very long for the child to actually accept what it was, and with that, came a ceremony of sorts to welcome in the "new member" of the gang.
It was small, but served a big purpose in the gang. Several families were invited, each one having some member of the family or friend with them that was finally going to join, and they gathered together into a secure room within the Kumou family's home. The room was empty, except for chairs lining around the walls, and a table with a knife and a bowl laying on the top. A small speech of sorts was given by Seiji's father before he returned to his spot next to his wife, signalling the start of the process. Each person that was to join circled around the bowl, and one by one, each of them took the knife and carefully cut a horizontal line across their palm, drawing blood over the bowl, which caught each drop. Once each of them had done so, they were walked over to the door, where each one would use their bloodied hand to shake with Hikoyashi, a symbol of loyalty towards their new leader. Once all of the families had left, Seiji and his own were the only ones in the room, which was followed by a quick excitement taking over his parents and sister. The final member of their family had joined.
In the years to pass, though, things began to take a turn for the worst. Even with all the things they had, their money, their protection, it didn't mean their lives were one hundred percent safe and simple; it was far from that. They still had to deal with the constant wars and threats between them and other gangs attempting to take over their territory and take away their influence, and deal with traitors or spies within their own ranks, which was actually beginning to become worse and much more dangerous by each day. That meant that not only were Nagisa and Hikoyashi constantly in danger, but their children, Chi and Seiji were as well. Because of this, once Hikoyashi found them old enough to start learning, he began to train them in all different styles of fighting, so they would be able to protect themselves. The differen't styles usually didn't include weapons, with Hikoyashi seeing it best if they knew how to fight without needing something on hand. The training began each morning, and often times dragged through for nearly the entire day, with several breaks in between, but hardly any. It was exhausting, but with the love for their parents, and the constant sight of their worry, the children went through with it, no complaining. With their constant training, it wasn't long before they had learned a new style one day, another one several weeks later, and plenty more day after day. Finally, Hikoyashi was satisfied with the work they'd put in, and relaxed the time he made them spend on it, only asking them to practice every so often so they didn't forget them.
As he began to age on, his exposure to the organization life and all of the things they did become more and more often, until it was simply apart of everyday life, and occasionally, he even took part in their deals...once even a fight between his gang and another, which had become quite violent by the end, enough so that the police of the city got involved, which rarely during these types of things, unless innocents were involved. Seiji's training even continued, and his skill in each fighting style was improving immensely with each day.
When Seiji was around the age of thirteen, still rather careless and quick to trust, he was found himself being approached by a man, wearing the attire of his family's guards, who claimed to be here to take him back home, orders from his father. Without thinking too much, Seiji listened to the man and began to follow him. They took a strange path, one that the young teen didn't recognize, but he didn't question it either. The guard hardly responded to him anyways.
As they took a turn around a corner, he suddenly found himself face to face with a group of people, who he soon realized were all part of an enemy gang to his family. Suddenly fear stricken, he froze in his spot, and before he found himself able to fight back, they'd taken him down, and were dragging him over to their headquarters: a nasty looking building in the middle of a desolate area. While this gang wasn't entirely that powerful, they had just gained a new weapon against the Kumou's and their organization: him. He was used as a sort of hostage, in a way to get his parents to comply with their demands, or else there would be hell to pay for their son...and they weren't kidding either. When his father refused a deal and demanded that they return his son, they responded with a quick "session" of torture, and a photograph in their mailbox with a note, enough to prove to his parents that they weren't bullshitting this whole thing. But, their requests for information and money and weapons were too much, and they couldn't just give that away...but they couldn't let their son be stuck with those people either, and soon enough killed. So, they had to plan.
Though it seemed their planning was taking too long for the enemy, and as their impatience rose, their torture and letters with the photographs became more frequent and much more brutal. It didn't take long for his parents to begin to go insane with panic and fear, and soon enough, they agreed with the demands of the gang, in return for their son safely back in their arms. A planned date, and the required things came soon enough, and Hikoyashi and Nagisa soon found themselves walking to the headquarters of the gang, briefcase in hand. As they finally arrived, they found themselves at the front of the building, with the gang's leader and several other men with them. Seiji was being dragged behind them, unable to keep himself on his feet and moving. A sudden spark of rage sprung up in Hikoyashi's stomach, but he kept it to himself in that moment.
They began the trade, Seiji's father throwing the briefcase towards the men, and one of them catching it, before opening it and looking glancing through all of the papers before nodding towards his leader. With that, Nagisa suddenly yelled out, begging them to return their son, before the leader's lips turned upward into a grin, and he pulled out his gun, likely to shoot her son. But Hikoyashi was faster than him, and he ripped his gun out of its holster before shooting the man right through his skull, killing him instantly. Nagisa was the next to shoot, taking out the men that had been around him, before running to her son and quickly lifting him off the ground, while Hikoyashi reclaimed the briefcase, and they immediately ran back to the car that had been waiting for them, speeding off before anyone else could come out and attack them. A horrible sight for the parents, to see their son so beaten and battered, and they swore to never let anything like this happen to him again.
It was some time before Seiji managed to find his way back to his near normal self; Hours of time spent in therapy, some physical therapy after what they did to his body...a long healing process that would often leave the family feeling ripped apart...but they still found their way, and soon their son, while not entirely or perfectly, and definitely never the same, was somewhat back to the way he had been before. Of course, he had changes in personality, being not nearly as trusting, gaining insomnia, becoming much more quiet compared to his energetic personality from before. But it was good enough for them. They at least had their Seiji back.
It was years later, when he was nearly seventeen, that he found himself back out on a walk, before he was attacked yet again, but this time, he was prepared. His fighting ability was tested this time, but he wasn't the young, startled boy anymore. He could do this. It was a rather large, angered group of gang members that had been becoming increasingly frustrated with Seiji's family and organization, and had followed him for some time before they managed to corner him in a desolate area, and then attacked. It only took several minutes, but soon enough, Seiji had taken out every single one of them, either unconscious or dead, without the use of any weapons or other things. That wouldn't be the only time that happened either.
It was due to his "status," or his family's reputation in the city, as well as the word getting out about their son and his fights (though some of them might have been an exaggeration or completely changed), that the Agency seemed to take some interest in him, and they appraoched him and his family with an offer, to which Seiji, after some time of thinking, agreed to, and his new life began.
♠Techniques – Seiji doesn't have his own, exact fighting style yet, but he's currently developing one. He knows quite a few different styles of fighting as well, all learned from his father.
♠ Weapon – Seiji doesn't actually use weapons very often, but he knows how to use a knife well enough if he needs to.
